Thanks for your lovely video. We are members for all inclusive and we have visited 7 times. Our last visit last week was a little disappointing. The rooms are excelent and the service of waiters is great too, but we couldn't have dinner in the rooftop which is our favorite, they told us they were closed for food for 4 months!! The food downstairs used to better but this occasion it was disapointing. The Italian Restaurant is little better (but not extraordinary ) and it only opened the weekends. I agree the bartenders are good. We ended up in Playa de Carrnen because there are much ore options to eat, though we love the rooms and the town of Puerto Morelos. We love the restaurants in P Morelos town too. We prefer to go there though we payed for food in this place too.

The food was great! One of the things we liked most was that there was no buffet. Everything was made to order. The food was delicious compared to a lot of all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to!!
I’m not sure about the gluten free food but the rooms are great and you can definitely swim at the beach. Just make sure you’re not there in sargassum season. Thanks for watching!!
I forgot to write that their excuse for the lack of service in restaurants was because it was low season and I think it was a lame excuse. We are members and we pay!. The hotel had a lot of occupancy, and many other people complained about the food downstairs. The rooftop pool was also closed. We had to beg for them to open it for us.
Hi Lucy! Thanks so much for the comment and insights! We spent most of our time at the rooftop pool. So if that was closed it would have made a huge difference in the quality of our stay! Good to know about the food. Our last stay it was still really good. I hope it’s not on the decline as we want to rerun for another visit soon. We also ate at some other great places in town in Puerto Morelos and Playa Del Carmen is one of our favorite destinations, great food and lots to do. Keep us posted on your next visit to the Fives!
Same very disappointed with the downstairs restaurant and service. It’s a very lovely hotel but very poor service. Slow. Disorganised. More like 4star for that reason. Not sure if it changed over time but as someone who’s stayed at many 5star hotels around the world this was the worst one I’ve stayed at. The town is beautiful but the hotel staff are badly managed and nothing like this review. It’s not the oberoi or even close.

I wouldn’t return to this hotel. It’s more like 4star than 5. Rude staff and poor food in the downstairs restaurant and the service was so poor. The staff didn’t seem to want to be there. But the town is beautiful. It’s just very disorganised, poorly managed hotel. The Italian restaurant is pretty good though. And I like the town. But this was the most disappointing 5star experience I’ve had if I’m being honest. And I only stay at 5star hotels when travelling.
So sorry you had a bad experience! Mexico can be hit or miss sometimes, we’ve also had some less than stellar experiences at highly rated resorts. Our 2 visits at The Fives were both good. Thanks for watching🥂
