I saw this video years ago when I was 13!! I almost cried! Now I'm revisiting this video because a deaf/hearing couple on RU-vid said this was how they met! They are called Sign Duo. Sooooo nostalgic! This is love
Watched this when I was 8. Now I'm 18 and nostalgia landed me back here. Their channel has grown so much over the years but I still find myself missing these short films
Wouldn't it be nice if in the end, the video didn't show us the scene where the girl told the guy she was deaf, but instead, the scene fades to the setting of a wedding, while the guy and girl sign languages each other: "I do."
The first time I saw something like this was by a younger couples that I'm sure now did a remake of the JP's video. I'm a little disappointed they didn't give you guys credit.
The ending instantly made me feel ready eyed. This was totally a moving project with such great meaning and awareness, well done! I'm glad I came across this channel!
I kind of expected that she was deaf, but it was still something when I learned it was the case. This is heartwarming and beautiful. Thank you for this, Jubilee!
That was very sweet of him :) cute couple, love the song by New Heights and love can still make a connection whether blind, deaf, impaired or whatever. That's the true power of love.
i love love love and adore this video and its remakes, but the ending. as a girl with a disability i want someone to just tell me i'm beautiful, period, cause i'm just a person as everybody else, not that oh well, despite my imperfections i'm STILL beautiful, and what does being deaf has to do with beauty anyway? she doesn't even have a visible physical aspect disability!
i don't really think that's what they meant a lot of ppl find it hard to keep relationships or don't find it worth the effort/time to communicate w/ someone who has a disability such as someone who's blind, deaf, autistic, etc. ik it's not a good thing and i really hate how that's something that happens often but it does happen and that's what they were, in a sense, combating btw beauty is not just about looks it's about personality as well
i know what you mean, but i think bc she said she was embarrassed to share the song w him, maybe he said that bc of it? idk, but regardless i think it could be bc of what you’ve said sadly :( i’m hard of hearing since birth, so i rlly long for what you’ve said too! that ppl didn’t see me for this & just see me like someone who has hearing
I hate being deaf. It's not fun, it's not fair. Everyone's laughing in their circle and I am just standing there watching them laugh, it hurts to not be normal cus your life is scar with jealousy in others who can enjoy a hearty chat at ease.
Trey Lo you’re still normal even if you’re deaf...at least that’s what my mom told me...she said that you can do the same things anyone else could...you just can’t hear and that shouldn’t stop you from having fun...I was born death and mute so I understand but that shouldn’t stop you from being you and doing the things other people do...much love ❤️
this was the very first video I have watched form Jubilee Project and after that.....well i totally fell in love with it and the other videos that went after... :D I'm so happy I found this...it is life, it is love, it is hope. :)
Elycia Herrera I think it's an automatic muscle response when typing. I noticed when I was typing a message I typed "dead" instead of "deaf" twice, because it's a much more commonly typed word (at least by me, since I am not deaf nor hard of hearing). You may have encountered similar scenarios yourself with other words if you frequently type on a computer.
This is beautiful! this really shows an awareness to people outside of the deaf community. i work with a group called the Association for the hearing impaired and we have sign language classes and different performances that we attend and show people that just because someone is deaf, dosent mean that they arent like everyone else in the world. sometimes, the only thing that they want to he heard, to be felt like someone understands. This has made my day! The message is truly beautiful!
OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT JUBILEE MADE THIS VIDEO😭😭😭 I'VE BEEN OBSESSED WITH NEW HEIGHTS AND THEIR MUSIC SINCE THIS VIDEO CAME OUT, AND I JUST FOUND OUT NOW THAT JUBILEE CREATED THIS VIDEO....WHATTTT!!! I watch Jubilee all the time !!! DOES THIS MEAN I'M ONE OF JUBILEE'S OLDEST FANS HAHAHA! I was here from the beginning, people!!! I'm in shock lol whattttt how did I not connect the two!?
wow when I reached the end I was like O.o I thought it was going to be something with extreme (can't spell lol) conitations/implications , I couldn't even think that she was deaf, such a fool I am, but it did come as a Ohhhh, wow moment =D
to prevent people from trying to talk to her...instead of being rude to make it seem like they were getting ignored, she'd put them in since she can't hear..normally people don't bother others if they're listening to music.
Hello! I have hearing impairment... I was wondering what does guys think about deaf or hearing impairment? I don't have boyfriend right now. not single one. I really don't know how to communicate with guys. :(
Just be you:) tbh if a guy is truly someone worth your time he wouldn't be so off put by something like that. There are so many ways to communicate:D good luck\(^-^)/
I started off by watching the remake of this video! I had the curiosity of the original video and I searched it up and now I have fallen in love with your videos! They are very touching! Keep it up! ❤👍👏
I love that you guys always make films with a purpose..that's how all films should be like...Sometimes people forget or take for granted things in life...Keep up the good work and awareness!
Some people think that because a person is deaf, or blind, or has some other "disability", that it makes them less human somehow and therefor not worthy of respect or dignity. That it makes them less beautiful. That sentiment is still pretty prevalent, even in today's society, where people who are different are shunned, ostracised, bullied and have their inaliable rights stolen or withheld from them. This video shows that, no matter how different we all are, we are all the same. We all want love
Just goes to show how we should look at others not for there shortcomings but as human beings who are looking for some form of connection, no matter how small. Loved this so much!
I wish I could find a love as beautiful as the one growing in this video. I try to believe that it's not too late and that past failures aren't a harbinger of future misfortunes, but it's hard. I try, but it's hard. This sort of short gets to me, makes me think. Ten years on, it still matters.
I was recently on RU-vid when I stumbled upon a video titled "Love Language." Not thinking much about it, I carelessly clicked on it. At first glance, I immediately thought it was one of those stereotypical videos featuring two lovers unsatisfied with their relationship. I was wrong. Not only does this video spread awareness for those with disabilities, but it also shows that kind-hearted people can influence positive attitudes in others, even in complete strangers. I learned that it's so easy
Awww. Such a good inspirational video/song!! Found this around 2 years ago, still makes my heart cry, but at the same time make it feel like there's hope in life. :)
