Don't block God's love! Receive it! Believe it! Open up your heart - you can trust Him with your heart. Maybe your heart has been broken more than you can bear. But Jesus is the One who knows how to heal you and love you like no one else. My prayer for you is that you experience God's great love for you in reality. He loves all of you, just as you are. Even where you may not accept or love yourself! Jesus loves, loves, loves you! He does not condemn you. He accepts and receives you. God be with you!
So many people and churches are filled with superficial love. The love of the Bible goes far beyond that, being truthful, giving, caring, and guarding. Like Charles Stanley says, love is an action. Agape love is what everyone needs today for healing, not skin deep and emotionally driven, "apathetic to sin" love.

@Terrill Elliott Romans 8:37-39; Romans 5:8; Romans 1:16 says the Gospel was first presented to the Jews but it is also for the Greek. Romans shows us that God's love is not just for the Jews; it is for us too. Romans is a book that shows us that God's love is for everyone. The sad news is that there are those as yourself who will never accept it. Bad things happen in this world because this world is cursed. But we can have God by our side through the bad times and when He comes back for those who accept Him the curse will be lifted. I pray you will ask God to reveal to you the truth of His love for you. That sounds a little racist and I don't believe Jesus is racist. I know you don't think Romans should be in the Bible but in chapter 2 it says that there is no favoritism/partiality with God.

My significant one didn't experience the love of a mother and was not introduced with Christianity. He don't believe in anything and only trust the human strength. But his words and ways shows that his intentions are pure. I pray and believe that God will touch his heart and that I am called to be God's vessel to show him the life of Christ in me. It's no easy to remain calm, kind, and positive especially when you have different beliefs. By the grace of God I know in His right time, we can redeem his lost child.
Amen!! God loves each and every one of us, when you look around and realize nobody does, just remember God does love you, even in the times when you May not love yourself! Love requires patience, kindness and a deep commitment, it's not a fleeting emotion or a passing fancy that dissolves when times get difficult. Love truly conquers all!

At first I thought, do cats count as "someone" - then Dr Stanley mentioned God's. Of course I know God loves me and even felt it a time or two. I love my daughter, but she hates me. Now he's talking about "romantic" - I tried and failed (divorce). When he talks about parental love - I remember feeling unloved - I remember crying the first time I read Ezekiel 16. He talks about mutual love - and I'm back to cats and dogs. I know that God's love is above all..... Thanks to Jesus.

I know my Lord loves me. He told me He is my father and I am His son. He loves me. Why would He let me perish? He is committed/loves me. He walks along side me and guides me as only a loving father does. I try to be committed to Him. I fail constantly but through grace I'm a conqueror. Therefore I love my Lord; not emotion Him but commit myself to Him. Where else can I go to be excepted and loved but to God?
I have adult children that don't show any love towards me. I'm a single mom who raised them best I could. They are all in their own world. The one son I did feel love from was murdered and so that love is gone. I know that God loves me though. The love of many will grow cold is what the Bible says. It's so true.
