I'm really happy about how the English voice actors did an amazing job with dubbing the girls to match their respective personalities, it works really well.
It is a very smooth and well done direction trick. First Dia watches the video with Mari and then (later on) she calls all girls to scold them, but Mari isn't there anymore. As Dia's initial disgusted reaction and her scolding are pretty much the same the director of this scene connects both moments of time through Dia's angry words. It's flawless.
@EightThreeEight Thank you. I'm not the only one that heard this and thought Mari was Monica. I never saw the Dub and when I saw this clip I Laughed the way Mari said her line and thought "That's gotta be monica" I was surprised to find out that was jamie. well they've both been around a long time now. lol
I must say I like English dub of this. Just because it sounds different from the Japanese doesn't automatically mean it's bad and it's a matter of preference. If anyone has an understanding, take time to get adjusted and not be judgmental. What I think is the English voices did great as much as their Japanese counterparts; both are amazing, nothing wrong with that.
C'mon, it's not amazing. But not as bad as your gut reaction tells you for sure, they're having fun and actually trying to get into the characters! But anime voice actors are simply not as skilled in the west, it's just an entirely different way of acting than regular cartoons that's hard to adjust to so of course the original Japenese VAs are better.
Sarah Wiedenheft is literally amazing! I mean come on, she voices Ruby Kurosawa (Love Live), Kikyo Kushida (Classroom of the Elite), Zeno (Dragon Ball Super), and Power (Chainsaw Man)! I mean she is absolutely one of my favorites! Her voice acting and range of characters is incredible!
Also Lily Hoshikawa in Zombieland Saga! Which if I remember correctly has dubbed songs! also she was a character in a game that uh, well Dia would VERY MUCH disapprove of
Ruby is voiced by Sarah Wiedenheft in the English dub. She also voiced Aika in the dub of "Gotta Be The Twintail", and she also recently voiced Tohru in the dub of "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid".
Sarah also has voiced Yuki in "Interviews with Monster Girls", Charmy in "Black Clover", Zeno in "Dragon Ball Super", Z23 in "Azur Lane", and Teresa in "Tada Never Falls in Love".

It doesn't make sense to dub the same thing sub Mari said. Part of Mari's charm is that she knows English, but it's DUBBED, then you can only accent on the fact that she's Italian. Like are we REALLY bitching about dubs? I like it. I'll watch it. Don't like it? Don't fucking watch it. Simple as that.
Maybe it abruptly cut to the present. Mari vanished because that scene was probably a brief moment in time that was earlier when she was there, but it transitioned to Chika and the others, implying that Dia later confronted them after she and Mari saw the video first.
Interesting. I didn't know Ruby and Dia were siblings. I've only played the game so far, but the anime is on my list to watch. It's a little strange to hear the dub voices, but I think I can like their voices really quickly (since I watch dub anyway).
