Mary was a very intelligent person! She knew and understood Freddie better than anybody else in his life. Mary perceived what he wanted in life, how he had to go about to achieve his dreams and never stood in his way. Freddie always came first. She was always there for him but never interfered! Freddie liked that about her. They loved each other, but that could never be. They both left and went their separate ways throughtout the years but always came back to each other, because they were soul mates forever!
Yes she knew how to cling to him and take him for every penny he had this song was wrote and sang for David mins freddies 1st male love ffs do your research before posting crap
@AnnieStubbins Mary loved Freddie at one time, and Freddie loved Mary; but that could never be! It was Freddie who wanted Mary near him to the point of employing her to take care of the finances for the group. That was a huge responsibility! Throughout his life, Freddie did nothing without consulting Mary. Remember, Freddie was no dummy and neither was Mary! He could have gotten rid of her if he didn't want Mary around. Many years past in between; Mary married, had children, and still neither one of them let go. Mary was far and yet near! Mary deserved everything Freddie left her in his will. Let go of your envy!!
Freddie met David Minns in late august 1975 when he was working on BoRap. Love of my life had been recorded before that. He wrote Old Fashion Lover boy and You Take My Breath away for Minns.@@AnnieStubbins
It warms my heart to know he had Mary all his life. She has to be a very special woman and he needed her in his life. Thank you Mary Austin for loving Freddie.
She was truly his love. .his best friend..and since they were originally lovers..made it so special.. the bond that will forever last in eternity..he was a kind gentle soul..he loved his music..and loved to perform..he was one of a kind...that still today is so loved and missed.. She said in an interview she took 3 years to fall in love with Freddie so not way before at all and Freddie avoided her for the last 2 years of the relationship he was seeing someone ekse.
Such a beautiful, forever Love.. When a man feels strongly enough to grace you with a song- That is forever. Mary is so beautiful. and Together they are a beautiful couple.. I think it tells us alot about Mary Austin herself- She could never leave him either..She gave him freedom yet stayed close..Freddie was Her Love of her Life.
Their love story is one of the best parts of the biopic. Very unique and special kind of love, loyalty and devotion. He was devoted to Mary and she to him. "I want you in my life" is what he said to her.
I just rewatched this video and saw in all pictures they looked so in love and happy. Their love was unbreakable no matter what. Mary stayed with him out of true Love and I believe he still loved her.
Mary Austin is the real "Love of my Life"of the famous Queen vocalist.as he said to his interview Mary Austin is jis lawful wife he really loved her even when he was not yet a millioner.how lucky is Mary Austin for Freddie loved her though he admitted that he was a bisexual!RIP FREDDIE MERCURY YOU ARE STILL A LEGEND INTO OUR HEART your million fans.
You can plainly see the love and mutual adoration in all the pics :-) So beautiful ❤❤❤ Never stopped loving each other, incredible bond. She even said I wished I'd gone first then I wouldn't have to miss him as much as I do 😢😢😰😰
They really had the perfect love story. It was beyond sex, and self indulgence, and self serving. Obviously Freddy loved self indulgence, which included sex and drugs, but his love of Mary never left his heart and mind. So many people claim she was evil etc. but the reality is he trusted her more than any other human being because of her unconditional love. Unconditional love is so rare and he knew that, so they truly were the perfect couple despite all the haters. I am jealous of their relationship but am happy they were able to experience it.
I had to keep pausing the video to read everything. What a beautiful, and sad story. Thanks for sharing this. I am a Queen Fan Forever. R.I.P. Freddie. ;-)
I wish I could have known them... I've heard they were wonderful people. I experience extreme sadness with the details of Freddy's passing. But joy of his life and music. Queen is forever embedded in the fabric of my soul. I was in the fourth grade in 1977 and remember when I first heard Queen. I've been a fan of their music ever since. I grew up with their music and it has been a huge path to bonding with friends in my past. I will always appreciate Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. And I appreciate Mary for being there for Freddie.
I feel exactly the same as you. Amazing, always thought I was so different than others, yet when it comes to Freddie, I feel I'm surrounded by those who feel the same. What is this?
She is such a lovely lady. She and Freddie truly loved one another. I am so glad she still treasures Garden Lodge. True love doesn't have to be sexual. What they had goes beyond that. 👨🏻❤️👧🏼
@@lorrainemoore5663 so sad for Mary, but what a responsibility. A woman of her word. Men cannot and would not be a person of their words., that is what is sadder
So sad, he’d be alive if he stayed with Mary, this , I think, began with the childhood detachment from his mother, he needed her and was sent to an all boys school probables, don’t know but could have led him to be bi, I’m only guessing , no way could I know, if he was born that way, things no matter still would continued anyways, and Mary could have been hurt also, it all worked out I guesse as it should have
@@RitaMalikfour so, I always wonder how much more powerful his voice would've been if he didn't smoke. I think it all the time, first time I've wrote it
I just watch the movie and think how come I have no idea of Queen before. I will his fan from now on . It's nice his music will remain forever and with the whole world.
Yuri Harck me I,m so sad. But glad F & M having each other’s all their life. RIP Freddie. You were a good person. And your private life is your right to lived. We should learned something FR, you. The GOOD AND THE BAD. and so fort.
She was his best friend, and always there for him even during his other relationships. They were there for each other from start to finish. An incredible bond that could never be broken. Truly soul mates.
Freddie was such a loving and honourable man... a true gentleman. I am glad him and Mary had each other. He took care of her and still does even though he's gone.
What a beautiful, classy woman. I’ve no words to describe beyond (as I don’t know her lol) but through interviews & such, she is so intelligent, and certainly can see the instant attraction in the beginning. It’s so beautiful that they stayed the best of friends. 🌹🌹♥️♥️
I can see how many fell in love with Freddie it was how in love he was Mary Austin and how much love he shared with his fan, I will be his fan forever , what a beautiful soul he was, R.I.P Freddie
I just love this song & their love story. It's just sad how this romeo & juliet love story ended. But at the end of the day he loved her truly and madly and she loved him truly and madly.
Freddie loved Mary, and she was the love of his life. He kept her by his side, until his end. According to his song, the day would come, Freddie would return and reclaim his love to Mary. In his will, Freddie declared his true love and loyalty to Mary. She gave him support even when she was hurt. An unusual, and mutual love to the end. No doubt, Mary still loves, and is loyal to Freddie Mercury in life and death. 💕❣️💞
Their love story touches me so deeply. I can only imagine the pain she went through losing him but at the same time being surrounded by all his things. I guess in a way it probably also bought her some comfort. I have no idea how you get over a spectacular person such as Freddie. Thank you Mary for always being there for Freddie. You are my hero. God bless you. One of the GREAT LOVE STORIES of our time💔
She was there right until the day he died, that’s more than friendship. She must have been devastated when he confessed he was bisexual. They met when he was a student so wasn’t famous or had money. I’m so glad he left her most of him possessions and money. Bless her, don’t think anyone would ever be able to compete with him as a lover, friend and last a carer.
Mary Austin was your true love and real friend. no one could replace her. I wish the extraordinary love your fans held for you could have sustained you during your private times when you felt lonely. I love and adore you beautiful Freddie Mercury!
This is just so heartbreaking. I wish they'd have gone ahead and gotten married and Mary could have had Freddie's children! They both considered themselves married to each other in their hearts, they should have had a kid or two! Freddie could have had more than a musical legacy!
Yes why would they get married. Freddie was gay...you can't change that!!!! But they were lifelong friends 🥀 and that lasted til the day he passed away. Love of my life ❤️. Love you Freddie forever....what a gift you gave to the world!!!!!!!! ♥️♥️
He really loved a woman and called her his common law wife, and never loved any man, but preferred them as partners.... strange thing is life. Love Queen and Freddy is the greatest!
+RaichieA Some people say there are two varieties of sex: recreational is just for fun and games, with no emotional attachment...relational has a profound emotional bond reserved for someone you truly do love.
+Aida Rasulova This is the paradox of gay versus bisexual...and remember that the only times Freddie ever seriously discussed his sexuality he referred to himself as "bisexual"...a truly gay man loves men, and uses women (when it is socially convenient to do so?)...a bisexual man loves women, and uses men (for recreational purposes?)...
I love this song and that it was for Mary. He was in love with her however sexually he was never going to feel satisfied with her because she was a woman hence why the secret love affairs with men started. (Although his friends did say that they did make love when they were a couple) He was emotionally connected with her and she was the love of his life but he bisexual, but sexually freddie was not satisfied by women though but he never felt like discussing it. But you know sometimes the heart doesn’t really see whether you’re a girl or a boy which was clearly Mary and Freddie’s situation. He found a good relationship at the end of his life and he loved his boyfriend however it was never going to be like with Mary because he was in love with her. He knew he couldn’t give her the life she deserved, faithfulness, a family etc so he let her go which is a very beautiful and tragic love story in the end. Because you could notice whenever she talks about him and he about her or when they were together that freddie still wanted her in some level, a more deep level but they couldn’t have each other like they wanted. The best proof of love is letting go and not being selfish and put the other first. Which they did. So in the end it didn’t matter if physically they weren’t together. Like freddie said it was like a marriage. He said that to him, she was his wife. They were together in a much deeper way which is very beautiful.
Freddie had several affairs with women. Carrie fisher being one of them. And another was an adult film actress Barbara Valentin. Freddie himself said he would sleep with anything. Man, woman, cat.(im sure he was exaggerating the cat part) He was best described as a pansexual.
Eravate bellissimi tu e mary.
Beautiful! She was the love of his life! He got caught up unfortunately in the crazy times, fame & fortune. He did propose to her after all and left her EVERYTHING, including his ashes that only she knows where they are per his request! Obviously more than friends but once he contracted aids, he was not going to have sex with her because he was too good of a person, he would never do that. Just this year Mary has a RU-vid stating that they were married in EVERY sense of the word! She says they lived the marriage vows! Amen! The song he wrote her is the most beautiful song ever! We love you both!
Sorry! You are very misinformed ! Nice try, but nothing you can say will prove it otherwise! Mary was Freddie's only true love!! He left everything to her and she was ALWAYS by his side even till the end!!
Such a beautiful and touching love story. I cry when I look at this. They were modern day Romeo and Juliette They did not die together . Freddie died and his Juliette was left here to suffer without him. She truly loved him. She even said she wished she had went before him because it is so hard for her to be left here missing him. Now that is real love! Someday they will be together again. I think people meet their soulmate again not other lovers that came and went out of our lives. .. .
That's a terrible thing to say you make Freddie sound awful if Freddie felt nothing for jim then why did he move him into Garden Lodge and refer to jim as his husband.
carol keating may be he loved Barbara that time?) Freddie lived with Barbara in Munich in 1985-1987 and then she came to London. i think Jim lies a lot.
When Freddie and Mary lived together, there were their many photographs which friend took in Freddie's house. I like those photographs very much. But, there are many photographs which a photographer took outside, afterwards. And there are not Freddie in the photograph of Garden Lodge. I grieve for her. I wish longevity and health of Mary Austin.
Gosh, I love Freddie Mercury even more than before, now that I have heard this song. (First time hearing this!!!). Where have I been? #Under #a #rock?!?! #LoveSomeQueen!!! #RIPFreddie. God bless Mary!!! ♥️
It's a beautiful story to see and read. You can easily see why they stayed together right to the end. watching each other grow. I hope to god, we all find that one special person. X
This is what I call unconditional love... true love let's a person spread his /her wings... whatever hard or painful it's.....it doesn't possess.... true soulmates...RIP Beautiful Freddie.♥️
How I envy this beautiful love story and friendship. Mary is truly a good woman and Freddie so lucky to have her to the end. Love you both. Love Queen!
Mary is an extraordinary woman! The only one who understood Freddy helped him, sincerely loved him! He was always there with him. He never betrayed him, he was by his side all the way Respect him!
Freddie you are missed more than words can say. You will always be loved and I hope you are singing in heaven's choir now. Your music will last decades. RIP beautiful soul.
She paid for the house and everything when Freddie was still broke and he did not forget that. But , while watching this video i can only see her happiness in the eyes when he kisses her or hugs her. She has always been in love with him and he also in his own way. Is sad but is also beautiful to have loved in that way. And i am so jealous that she had this wonderful man and made love to him and was in his mind all the time. i wanna cry
Seemed very special and an eternal type of love. That's as special as it gets. She was with the man when he was blooming and apparently he didn't forget it. This is very sad to watch but wonder if there has been any retrospective about the relationship? The song - will always stand the test of time. It's timeless!
Freddie was wonderful to Mary and I don't think she ever got over him. Of course we know he adored her also. Both were lucky to have found each other. Until he became famous with Queen Freddie's life was very hard too. That he shared his good fortune with her tells us everything about their relationship. Two outsider's who, in the long run, only had each other. That's a love more powerful than sex or money.
So true. So true. They never destroyed each other. Never exploited the love they had. Only uplift and respect each other. And loyalty till the day they died and die.
They shared a very deep special love for each other! How noble and honest of Freddie to tell Mary about his sexuality and the good thing of it Mary understood him well and accept it 'coz she love him that much too💓💓💓 Love her to stand for Freddie 'till the end!😘😘😘 Missed you Freddie dear! Sleep tight my darling! Love you forever!
Mary loved Freddie when he had nothing. Freddie knew that. Someone can easily say to a famous millionaire, "oh, I love you and I'll care for you" but do they really mean it? Freddie always had that thought in the back of his mind with everyone that he met after he became a famous millionaire. With Mary, Freddie never had to ask himself if Mary really meant it because he knew that she truly loved him 100%.
This song breaks my heart. It's said that Freddie was always searching for true love in spite of his partying but he sadly couldn't give Mary what she needed. I do believe she was the love of his life, even if he didn't write this song for her, it may have become her song over the years due to the deep and lasting nature of their friendship.
LOL..I agree. He was a very practical and pragmatic man who never looked back on his decisions; he said so in his interviews about a 100 times that he liked to move on.
