Bears had one good receiver and a mediocre to okay tight end...and a awful line...hurts benefited from being in a more put together team hurts on that bears team would be one of the worst quarterbacks in the league....his accuracy is one a couple percentage points better...plus hurts throws more picks then fields...

Russ had 26tds and 8ints with a 66% completion rate in15 games. They sit him down for 2 games. Russ numbers put him in the top 10 of all QBs. Had a bad year the first year in Denver, but he actually had a good year last year.

@@jeremybstudentpilot5315: News Flash. Russ and Mahomes have met 5 times in their respective careers, and Russ has outplayed Mahomes in 4 of those 5 meetings. I believe that’s why some people (read: Nick Wright) want Russ out of the league. It’s the same reason Cus D’Amato told Mike Tyson’s handlers to avoid tall fighters who could move well and had good jabs, especially Lennox Lewis. He knew Lennox would beat Mike 9 out of 10 times. Every athlete has his Kryptonite, and Russ (along with Burrow) is definitely Mahomes’s. Mahomes is Kryptonite for Allen, LJ, Herbert, and DWat. Do you know what two QBs always seemed to outperform Russ? Dalton and Rivers.

@@DATRUTH_19Bears had DJ Moore & Cole Kmet… that’s it. Steelers have George Pickens, Roman Wilson, Pat Friermuth, Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren, and the Steelers o line just got HEAVILY improved. All they needed was a RT & C and they drafted arguably the best C in the draft, and one of the best Tackles in the draft. Their o line is going to be really good this year you’re trippin if you think the Steelers weapons are close to what the bears had

Dj Moore is the best reciever between bears and steelers he's a top 10 wr. That's why they traded for him. The steelers wr are not anything special. You over blowing second and 3rd string wrs... najee Harris is a decent back but he can never get anything going. Kemet was also a top 10 tight end last year. So yes I believe bears weapons last year are still better than what the steelers have. I have know idea why you'd even say that. And I was speaking mainly to the weapons part of what he said. Teams that need linemen draft linemen every year and still end up needing a line the following year. I mean steelers have been drafting linemen for years since big ben and havent gotten it right yet It's hit or miss. So we'll have to see regardless about whose line is better

@@DATRUTH_19it’s not just about weapons at receiver though, which they drafted another top 10 WR so it’s not like they had the bengals or the dolphins calibre receivers let’s be for real, their WR rooms was above average at best, the only person that managed to do more with less last year was Patrick Mahomes. Look at Josh Allen, how good was he till Stef went to the bills, now he is a good 3, top 5 at worst QB, sometimes it just takes I element to be right, I think for fields i was kinda of that but on top of that coaching and continuity is also important, and the organisation just wasn’t that competent either, they basically changed the entire organisation for Caleb (except the defence which was actually pretty good last year), so that’s why I don’t think Justin fields has been fairly evaluated, he was not developed that great, he didn’t have great weapons and not a great staff around him too. So I think the next couple of years will determine if he is a good QB not his past, because with all that he still did okay, not great but they didn’t completely flunk.

I don't get Joys point, it's not absurd for the fans to want to see fields play or there be pressure on the coaches to play fields if Russ is struggling. Just because they traded virtually nothing to get him doesn't take away from the fact that the steelers have no real QB1 and considering that they aren't in a rebuild and have a semi talented roster people want to see them win games. If fields looks good in whatever packages or playing time he gets of course people will want to see him start games.

Why would you think Russ would struggle? Pickens is much better than Sutton, Roman Wilson may be better than Jeudy, he threw 26 td’s and had 8 interceptions last year, he got benched the last 3 games, he would have led the league in best ratio, be frfr the broncos defense was so dam bad and they had terrible playcalling from time to time, fields was bad bruh, bruh a fumble merchant,it’s 12 vs 10 when he’s on the field, sit, watch, learn, don’t rush yourself out of the league

The falcons said no thanks. Signed an injured 36 year old then drafted a project who has dealt with injuries. I wanted Fields to be that guy. I'm totally out on him. Bails on good protection. @bliine How about this? Okay, so you say JF didn't have any help. What he did have is a TE's, Receivers, and desent running backs. Instead of using what he did have on the field, he decides I'll do it on my own. A quarterback has no business running the ball for 1000 years. When all he really needs is 10 yards for a first down. Stupid. I guess he thought the running back couldn't do the job properly, so he ran the ball. I supposed he also figured that 'I 'm not comfortable with throwing the ball because I throw too many interceptions', so again, I will just hang on to the ball. Now, some people want him to pull that mess on a different team. No Siree. Enough of JF trying to play quarterback. When in his heart, he plays more like a running back.

He had a decent receiver for 1 year TE is ok and who was the RB? Compared to all the help they got for Caleb this year. Now what has Russ did these last 2 years that makes him so much better. James is right. At some point, you have to see what Fields can do with the Steelers. Usually, they reserve the last few games on a losing season to do that, but the Steelers don't have losing seasons, so they have to mix him in some way. I don't get joy and shady saying fields was terrible. There were people who thought Chicago should keep him and draft Harrison.

Nah man, his passer rating was 86 last season. He had a qbr of 46. Perfect passer rating is 158.3. The highest qbr last season was Brock Purdy with almost 73. I am a born and raised Bears fan and watched every snap. I dont think it's going to matter what team he is on, but I wish him the best.

James is correct, if the Steelers wanted merely a backup for Wilson they'd have kept Pickett or Rudolph. I think they want to see whether Wilson has anything left & / or will sour the locker room, hence they need a potential starter available if necessary.

Justin fields has more interceptions in the fourth quarter than Caleb had in all the quarters in The same time period😂 Justin fields won’t even see a starting role ever again after he gives Tomlin his first losing season. Oh also he has 10 fumbles and 25 self inflicted sacks in the fourth as well over two seasons. Tell me you only watch highlights without telling you only watch highlights 😂

I believe that Russ is gonna be the starter bc his body of work through his career has won at the highest level. He can give the Steelers life in the passing game, I’d say fields might need to pump the breaks and work on his mechanics in the system the Steelers have. An I’m a OSU FAN but if he was in a better position offensively when he came in maybe it could of been different but idk 😭😂

Look at Carr’s rookie year he had 2 different coaches his rookie year played on a joke of a team and looked serviceable and got better his second and third year not to mention he had multiple OCs during that time frame. I feel bad for Fields. He is a good guy. He has some obvious blunders, but he digs hard. As a Bear fan, he could be a comeback NFL superstar. Be careful who you blast when finds his core. He has the intangibles, but is extremely insecure under pressure. It is very complex, but the right situation may develop him just like Hurts.

Steelers fans, Do you care more about some entertaining moments or do you want your team to win? Russell Wilson's statistically worst season was almost identical to Justin Fields statistically best season. The only reason people believe an unproven QB with minimal success is better than a 13 yr veteran, 9x pro bowler, SB champ is because humans are always more drawn to the flashy, exciting highlights over the stable, consistent thing even if it's proven to be superior. Fields is more shiny and new (younger), people think he's "cooler" and more exciting to watch. Russell may not have as many WOW plays but he's going to get the ball into the endzone, he isn't going to turn it over that much at all, and you can trust him to win it if the game's on the line in 4th qtr situations. The data backs this up. Anybody saying Justin is QB1 are saying that with wishful thinking because they like him more. Y'all setting dude up lowkey.
