Korty's youtube channel caption reads "I love music, stories & you ❤" and she is one of the rare celebs who mean it when they say that. Took my LGBTQ video suggestion (a fan she does not even know) and made a whole episode out of it. Then she took her time to quote my comment at the end of the video to let me know she did this for me. Korty, I'm speechless ❤ I watched this video as soon as it came out and even I, an LGBTQ member learned something new from it! You got more subscribers because of this and it pleased me to no end. I don't know what else to say mahn.. but you got fierce backups that you don't even know of ... and it's for life ✌ Thanks!

This is literally my first time coming across your video cause a friend recommended me to watch it and I live for it❤….. I personally identify as ‘Gay’ and you need to see the way people act about it! I recently got back to college a week ago and couldn’t help it anymore for guys approaching me and literally posted on my WhatsApp that I was gay!… ever since then I’ve been the talk of the schl! It’s so annoying! All my life I hid it and now I just can’t! Came out to certain ppl and they were all accepting of it and it made me so emotional…. My mom thinks it’s a joke or a phase and I’m like mama km 19! I ain’t joking 😂 as for my dad I couldn’t tell him I want to live long abeg😂… the thing about being Queer in Nigeria is all the insult the threats and anger people that don’t even know you have towards you ! I’m so so tired of the hate on LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 it’s got to stop! Mostly in Nigeria! I can’t keep dating guys no offense I don’t think guys are cute one bit! Just like Uyai said I didn’t have to come out to everyone from start cause Omo if you think I’m Gay then I am no questions asked but I had to recently to people I was close to and when I did majority of them said they all knew I’ve never been so happy or felt so free! I like that Korty did this in a way to capture this couple for who they are. Nigeria very easily "others" people, especially if they're unconventional from the hyper religious, conservative mindset. Not only did she share this queer couples story and coming out, but she also gave light to their joy and love without centering excessive trauma narratives

I am certainly not going to be involved in lgbtq but honestly speaking I think being open with one's true identity is what the society has taken away from people for the fear of being stigmatized. But who really cares if you are this or that🤷‍♀. Your happiness should matter most. I love this boldness and I wish other areas of human sensitivity could be explored. Let's all be open minded.
