I think if you use distilled water and a few drops of glycerine it should last longer and not get slimy. Just my 2 cents. Very nice! Oh and seal the cork!

Even though with the Bondic it won't come out of the bottle, the cork is porous, so eventually (it may take long, but it will), the water inside will evaporate.
