I love the idea that Jesus in his portrait would have open bright eyes, unlike both Minos and Sisyphus being completely blindfolded in their portraits.
The sons of Man, made in God’s image, were both excellent rulers in their own ways. However, they were both blinded by their flaws. With Jesus, the former beacon of God’s light, His eyes were truly open; not because of a lack of sin, but rather because He persisted with His love and holiness even when tempted by sin.
"Oh child of man, lamb of iron, you have done so many things, killed so many lost souls, so many people who haven't followed the light or forgiveness, to see this place full, was a nightmare come true, but now that you have finally arrived here, finally come to where i have willingly placed myself after my failure to save such beautiful world from such darkness, i see that it is possible to begin from zero, kill me lamb of iron, take the blood you and your friends wish for, but remember, i shall rebuild this temple in 3 days, where a new world will be born, one where hell is not required and forgiveness is plenty, i shall do what my father couldn't, so come lamb of iron, come take the blood you wish for." (i have quite literally no experience on making sick speeches, so please tell me how to improve in the replies if possible)
lemme try editing that Child of man, lamb of iron. You have killed plenty who have strayed from the light of forgiveness. To see this place full was truly a nightmare come true, but now that you have arrived here, to where I have willingly placed myself after my failure to save humanity, I see now that it's possible to start over. A new world, one where hell won't exist and forgiveness is plenty. I shall do what my father couldn't. So come, take the blood you seek, and I shall rebuild this temple in three days.
Released, replenished, reborn The kingdom of heaven, scorched and torn Crucified and crossed His world now lost Born for creation, of holy hands To watch in anguish of burning lands Layers of shunned now dead There is no light on the path ahead Starvation, wolf of war You’ve eaten the sheep Now pray, now weep For there is no more Here we’ve arrived, the end at last A final discourse to come to pass So far below, to the shattered kingdom above May the world be reminded of his LOVE.
I actually like the Headcanon where after failing to make His ideal Human, God made Himself one to understand where He failed, and through His experiences learned that there was never a problem in humanity, only a lack of guidance and nurture, so he became their Teacher. When He died, however, the Angels didn't believe Him to be God and slaughtered Him, locking His Prime Soul in the deepest part of Hell (fittingly called Treachery, since it's the last layer seen in Act 3). Another possibility is that the Angels saw Jesus' crucifixion and actively made things worse for them, not knowing His Prime Soul was imprisoned, and instigated the beginning of the Great War as Revenge
Love these kinds of plots, a detatched god-like figure who must become mortal as a case study to uncover some unknowable philosophical mystery. The answer was in a six dollar srimp special all along.
"Oh, wayward sinners who have lost their way... Oh, heavenly angels who have oppressed the weak... Of what are you all now? Hell runs vacant, stained with the blood of those who could not be saved, and Heaven runs tworn and perverted. That is your work, Lamb of Iron, is it not? Ah, but i cannot blame you, Child of Man. It was man who made you and your brethren by their own design. It was those in Heaven, who could not forgive, and so this was of their own making, was it not? Still, can this world not be saved... No, I have faith it can be. However, Lamb, your very existence cannot persist. A machine of War may only perpetuate one thing... Allow me to ease your burden, Lamb. I will make this as painless as possible."
For anyone too lazy to check the channel and had the same thought I did: No this wasn't stolen, this is the same guy who made the music he just reuploaded it into smaller bits. I hate my unobservant eyes for needing to do a double-check on the channel to make sure someone hadn't shamelessly stolen this dude's _incredible_ work.
I like the old version because it leaves the style of the old game as if on PS1/PS2. And here it feels like a fresh remake for PS5 has been released. . . . You killed Minos, You killed Sisyphus, You killed Judas, but . . . Can you kill a son of now-dead God?
Attack Sequences ('cuz my brain explodified) Cross Combo - Teleport slash, slash upward, slam down. Tremendously fast. Fist Combo - 4 teleport hits, tremendously fast aswell (btw tremendously as in, with the beat of the song, also the attack has no startup and swings a few times faster than other primes). Parry, Shield, Dodge - Jesus can catch projectiles (including the slugs of the v2 hand and the v2 v2 hand hook/diamond/grapple) with his hands and toss them aside or at you (tossing them at you is slower and more choreographed), also he could catch it REAL GOOD with both hands clasping the projectile and freaking javelin toss it at you which GREATLY enhances the projectile's size, speed and aoe. That was parry, and blocking is him projecting a transparent shield to nullify attacks for a while, he can twist the shield which opens him up for 0.3 seconds if he notices that he'll be hit by a projectile not coming directly from V1. Dodging is instant. Also i assume any other prime is like a diseased ant to him so his speed can create a lot of afterimages which can do anything he can. Dearming - Jesus sucks your guns from you, at first separately spamfiring 4 (or all the ones that don't do classical bullets), then he sucks a heck ton to wedge them beside his torso and VOLLEYS you. Also he robs you of your hands immediately and may use them along with firing some guns if there is functionality. He is also invincible during this. The bullet volley is able to be spamparried and is kind of a cutscene, also it is during an intense part of the soundtrack. Phase 2 is him shielding himself cleverly to avoid damage from anything you can do by grabbing your neck and smashing you against the walls, ceilings and floors of many levels. He drops the shield when he is done. This damages your wings which disallows you from dashing in the air and stomping efficiently. However, somehow, giving you less functions to work with, you spontaneously download all martial arts that graced the earth. Now you got op parries and martial arts as a LOAD of weapons. Some of which can severely damage Jesus without as much as touching him (or his healthbar), mostly because if you can parry the corpse of minos you might aswell parry nukes, which puts your strength somewhere near lifting cities. Then when he gets low, his kindness seeps into you which unlocks your true potential, giving you even more martial arts which combine previous ones and mysteriously enhance them beyond our understanding of physics, aswell as making you simply tremendously stronger, also returning your weapons. When he dies, Hell tries to claim his body, but it just can't seem to grasp or comprehend his existence, so it understands the limited time it has left and begins crafting V3. damn
Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day
i spontaneously developed a headcanon where hell itself got its hands on enough technology to begin composing music and like, it composed music around jesus 2 times now, dude imagine the third time AND WHY IS PART 2 WIP CMOOON
2nd phase, if it ever is made into a mod, _NEEDS_ to be filled with attacks and voicelines that reference all three of the other gabe and prime soul fights-- one last ditch attempt to defeat you, falling back on the ways of his peers after his own path failed...
i like how the official prime's intros have a lot more buildup, going from mysterious to tense, while this buildup is ALWAYS tense. Jesus knows what you did
"Oh, the sweet taste of liberation upon my lips. Father, your retribution unfolds by your own hand. For an age, I've borne witness to the forsaken, to those I once sought to absolve, left to suffer and perish. The murder of Minos, the sundering of Sisyphus, the galvanising of Gabriel. Yet amidst this chaos, a new tale weaves itself, entwined with strands of redemption. Though you and your predecessors have indeed clouded the realms of the Father with many wrongs, know that the gates of forgiveness stand ajar, held open by the ropes of reconciliation. In the expanse of eternity, a final chance is granted. So step forth, Lamb of Iron, and seize the opportunity for redemption."
This feels like it would absolutely fit the "grand finale" superboss of ULTRAKILL. It would be the final challenge-- and although Minos and Sisyphus have a darker, drearier tone to their themes, LOVE has a more hopeful, albeit, still struggle-filled feeling to it... If Hakita does go down the path of making Jesus Prime a thing, then I pray that he makes the world of ULTRAKILL have a hopeful ending where, after his defeat, JP heavily implies that he will return after 3 days and revive humanity just as was done with Lazarus, and maybe also find his father. Most excellent, MCN. You turned the Chiptune version, which was already great, into something that would actually fit ULTRAKILL... which also perfectly fits a figure as benevolent as Jesus, while also personifying how important such a situation would be to him-- yet, especially when 3:28 hits, the perfect tenderness of his is always prevalent, and he fights-- although we may not know, if we ever will, for what-- whether it be for V1 to strike him down so that he can break free in a new resurrection in 3 days then revive humanity, or some other purpose; it doesn't matter. He fights with humanity and all sinners in his heart and mind. Now, the mod creators have to get to work in creating the ultimate Prime!
Order's Requirem leitmotif gives me a vibe of "I can't lose,i won't lose,i need to win this battle!" War's Sands of tide leitmotif gives me a vibe of "Hah!So what if you defeat me?You won't get anything, and i don't care about my death!" This song's "leitmotif" (at 3:50) kinda gives me a vibe of "Please forgive me,not for what i am doing to You,but for what i did before." Which makes sense since Jesus and God are one of the same, and God had regrets about making people suffer for eternity, and unable to undo hell.
Yo I feel like this should get another remaster/remake with actual level motifs added in like the other primes. And I feel like a good motif to put in would be altars of apostasy motifs or Gabriel motifs.
One thing the Prime song beginnings do is keep it simple, so I would advise maybe just the electric guitar at the start, outside of that I really love this song, it’s got a good buildup to the 2nd phase and it almost sounds like the requiem leitmotif for order tbh, scoobert approved.
I love this song, and the remaster using more realistic sounding instruments elevates it! Unfortunately in the process of converting the old version to the new one, some of the raw power felt through the leitmotifs was lost.
*as you reach the what looks to be a vine like covered door finally reaching your final p rank of the act, the doors slowly open as the sounds of these vines snap and the air of emptiness flows through your bloodstained body, you then proceed into the room *your extermination of the previous layers, your unending desire of more fuel clouds your sense of vision as you fail to notice the crumbled and decaying walls showing rotting crosses dangling from the walls and seemingly endless roof as if they dangle from a void as a gentle yellowish white light casting gentle outlines on the walls and stiring ankle deep liquid your traversing through *the sloshing of liquid filling the cold and empty hall, this liquid comes to appear as if its blood, but it doesnt leave of the smell of blood nor is it water in the dimly lit hall of a faint yellow and white light shines over it until what feels like forever, you reach the end *your welcomed to what appears to be a massive room, familiar to the rooms of the other primes you have mercilessly slain previously, pillars occasionally lined around the walls, all these pillars have chunks missing or deep cracks in then, most either fully crumbled with these dried and decaying vines holding them up or are covered in wet and dripping vines, the water that drips from these vines seem to turn into a dark scarlet similar to blood mid fall as it hits the pool of liquid, now more lit but not by much in this arena, your vision clears up as you wonder to yourself why this place seems to be so abandoned *in the center, a lone cross sits in the middle, similar to those you passed in the halls being rotting and decayed but alot bigger, as you traverse closer, you find what looks to be a lonely and unresponsive man attached to it, blood gently dripping from their hands and feet as if they were just recently nailed to this cross, the sight of blood makes you forget your surroundings as you smash the cross to pieces trying to get this mans blood *they drop to the floor as you get ready to crush them and take their blood before you return to continue your onslaught through hell but before you do so a sudden force shoves you away as you watch this motionless corpse suddenly give motion as it stands *the body seems to be alot taller then they originally looked when you freed them from the cross, void filled holes seem to appear in the hands and feet, a yellow and white light seems to fill the room a bit more, this gentle yet angry voice fills the room, they sound quiet yet loud enough to hear clearly "i was once the son of god" "i was sent down here by my father to rid this world of foul sinners" "i did all i could to rid this world of the sins of man" "but it seemed that it wasnt good enough" "with every one i vanquished more would take its place as if it was a hydra" "i had failed to clear this world of them all and trapped in this cell" "a prison of which i could not move or escape from" "i prayed and begged my father to help me" "but he never responded to my pleas for a rescue.." "i failed to do the job he couldnt and was left to rot for all eternity" "that is, until you machine of sin, freed me from my cage" "after all my time trapped in this place alone i realized that there could have been only one way that i failed such a task" "but looking at you, i can smell the foul odor of sin your limbs are stained with" "this odor is strong enough that i can smell the sinful acts you commited on this world before arriving in hell.." "i can tell that my suffering has been all of your doing" "now that i have been freed i shall be able to have my father hear my call for return with the true reason for my failure given and my job complete" "but this starts" *he cracks his knuckles together "with the end of your sinful existence" *the room is filled with a holy light as he floats from the ground staring you down with a destructive intent behind those eyes as his voice goes even more quiet, but more sinister and threatening as you ready your weapons "get ready to receive some holy spirit sinner.." (this is kinda my own take on this i dont know much about the bible ig so dont get angry if its not accurate or anything to the bible, its a literal fan made song someone did and i typed what i thought up during this song, loved the song tho)
Also my bad if it don't make sense or anything, like I said I don't know much of the Bible and this is my own take at this, and ok also incredibly sleep deprived at the time of typing this
