I hate this stupid "age is just a number" joke because that's not counting the perfectly legal age gaps when it's consenting adults. A minor and an adult isn't "age is just a number" adult and adult age is just a number. THEY'RE BOTH ADULTS
@@shadow_galaxy_void um i can comment if i want when commented it was 1 month after hers plus why should i have paid attention to how long a ago it was?
@@OfficialNotNoahgrooming is when you build a relationship with someone to abuse or exploit or manipulate them. So building a relationship with a child just so you could date them when they’re older is grooming
@@Jumpingonpawsoh but didn't they both are above 18 and have mind of their own? By that time even the teen that said they will date them would have realised by the time they are 18 that this person was grooming them?
@@Jumpingonpaws depends on the situation I know someone who knew their husband before they got married and he was 15 at the time she was eight and ended up getting married when they were in their 20s and they were together for almost 50 years. That does not mean it’s green there is gray areas with that.
@@Jumpingonpaws What if the minor in question was the one who wanted it first and the older person told them to wait? Wich is the case here? (Also happened with my grandparents)
And then he DIED and she was still alive, later she realized she was groomed, which was a crime she then worked hard and became very worried ahout her childern as her parents should have looked after her.
@@user-nr5ke6qw6x Nope, they got a point. I'm 19 and the idea of being with a a 13 year old makes me cringe. The teachers in our schools literally told us not to pursue 7th and 8th graders when we were still senior high.
@@user-nr5ke6qw6x A 26 year old falling for a 13 year old in itself is bad. No one would have said anything if they met after the younger one was at least 18. Otherwise, it's literally pedophilia.
Why make her underage? I'm 34 and I see teens as babies. 17 is just 7 years older than 10. That's a baby. You could have easily made her 22 and him 13 years older. Do not try and make pedophila seem good because it is not. When teenage guys hit on me I don't get swept off my feet, I tell them to do their homework.
Didn't you read the persons comment? It's their grandparents, so it never happened, probably because by the time they married, she was already an adult.
Age is just a number Jail is just a place Death is just sleep premium Edit: For the last time, it does not matter if they wait until they are 18. It’s gross and borderline grooming. Edit 2: *Sigh* Went back to the replies. I’m slowly losing my faith in humanity with the amount of people calling grooming “cute.” My brain is about to explode.
Right? If they had met when they were 26 and 40 (?), I’d be okay. I can admit I look at older guys and go “okay, yeah,” as someone who’s almost thirty, the the idea of looking at anyone younger than 24 at this point grosses me out. And to have known the person since they were 13? Definitely not. That just feels very groomer-esque.
If it's grandparents don't think of it now think of like 1940 something besides people were more mature then and also you don't know when they met and people used to marry pretty fast then
@@shadow98621 my grandparents had a 19 year gap, they were in love 😃 He died time before I was born, and she died almost 15 years ago, I really miss both of them, even if I didn't known him in person 😢 I'm sure he would have something good to tell me
What a beautiful 13 year gap love story. I love the fact that she took the time, space and energy to build a deep relationship with him as they both got older. And a love like that is something that should always be cherished with your loved ones. ❤❤
Pedophilia is a paraphilia. In recent versions of formal diagnostic coding systems such as the DSM-5 and ICD-11, "pedophilia" is distinguished from "pedophilic disorder." Pedophilic disorder is defined as a pattern of pedophilic arousal accompanied by either subjective distress or interpersonal difficulty, or having acted on that arousal. The DSM-5 requires that a person must be at least 16 years old, and at least five years older than the prepubescent child or children they are aroused by, for the attraction to be diagnosed as pedophilic disorder. Similarly, the ICD-11 excludes sexual behavior among post-pubertal children who are close in age. The DSM requires the arousal pattern must be present for 6 months or longer, while the ICD lacks this requirement. The ICD criteria also refrain from specifying chronological ages.[5] In popular usage, the word pedophilia is often applied to any sexual interest in children or the act of child sexual abuse, including any sexual interest in minors below the local age of consent or age of adulthood, regardless of their level of physical or mental development.[1][2]: vii [6] This use conflates the sexual attraction to prepubescent children with the act of child sexual abuse and fails to distinguish between attraction to prepubescent and pubescent or post-pubescent minors.[7][8] Such use should be avoided, because although some people who commit child sexual abuse are pedophiles,[6][9] child sexual abuse offenders are not pedophiles unless they have a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children,[7][10][11] and many pedophiles do not molest children.[12] Pedophilia was first formally recognized and named in the late 19th century. A significant amount of research in the area has taken place since the 1980s. Although mostly documented in men, there are also women who exhibit the disorder,[2]: 72-74 [13] and researchers assume available estimates underrepresent the true number of female pedophiles.[14] No cure for pedophilia has been developed, but there are therapies that can reduce the incidence of a person committing child sexual abuse.[6] The exact causes of pedophilia have not been conclusively established.[2]: 101 Some studies of pedophilia in child sex offenders have correlated it with various neurological abnormalities and psychological pathologies.
@@appledumplin3 i obviously meant when she was underage 1 and 2 i don't care that they lovin eachother i care that she fell in love with a whole ass GROWN MAN?? DUH😨😨???
@zzieee I agree it's kinda weird but they waited until it was legal! its completely fine to have a crush on someone even a lot older (example- kids having celebrity crushes) don't wanna argue just saying I don't think you shouldn't judge it could be cute healthy relationship and if they're happy it shouldn't matter the age
@@appledumplin3 The difference with the older age gaps is that they usually meet after the age of 18. If when you were 13 a 20 something year old man said they loved you, wouldn’t you be creeped out. Not only that but he continues to hang around this child that he has romantic feelings for. Don’t have children if you think this is okay.
@@MelodyHayes that is true and obviously everyone doesn't mean well just like with all relationships it is dangerous and I understand more so with someone a lot older BUT there are definitely a lot of scenarios where it would be completely fine and healthy so you shouldn't judge things like that
