My son and his wife met with a hello at college, got married with a small simple celebration during Covid, she was diagnosed with a rare cancer, called sarcoma few months after their wedding, went thru 3 major surgeries and chemo, he has been on her side and holding her when she was weak and in despair, and she has been supporting him in her special way to keep him strong. Love keep them strong through the headwinds. "Love Story"was a pure love movie, yet I see in real life. Please pray for her recovery with God's mercy.
I miss my wife. We met in medical school. She was a Navy scholarship student. I said that although I did not know where our relationship would end but we were in love and we married as we graduated from medical school both of us initially as junior officers. We have a difficult but a wonderful life in the Navy. When we transferred from Japan to DC (after deployments) she had a seizure. She was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and when she passed and was buried with full honors in Arlington National Cemetery in 2014. To this day I ask the Lord what next. He states keep moving forward and we will be reunited. I trust him.

The SECOND the piano started playing my heart gave a LEAP and all those memories of the movie, the music, sitting at the piano, everything came back! I was in high school when I watched this wonderful movie! I remember that I cried a lot and since then I really liked straight hair like Ali. She was so beautiful!! She is still beautiful. I bought the DVD recently with this movie and I feel the same thing when I am watching: crying. I think not everyone has the chance to find the true love in this life. I always wanted,I thought i found it, but after years i realized that my husband doesn't have the same feelings for me and that was very painful. Right now we are divorcing after 27 years. This is the life. We have to survive and to realize that God has a plan for each of us, even though sometimes it is very difficult to accept. For those who found real love i am happy for them! I understand, my wife of 27 year's passed after a long battle with Breast cancer. She was a nurse, two wonderful son's. I lost my son Robert, in August. He was 27. His brother is 25. I'm 57 now and I saw this movie as a young boy in the movie theatres. All I heard was sniffling around me so I figured I should start crying too and I did lol. Very emotional and impactful movie. Still remember and love it to this day.
Yeah like I have said before I was 18 when I went to see this movie.....and cried all the way home......the bus conductor in Birmingham, kept coming to see if I was ok, but when I explained to him he totally understood and made sure that I got off the bus safely and back to the nurses home at East Birmingham Hospital.....still spent all night crying :)

The winning combination that did justice to Ali Macgraw's performance, was Ryan O'Neill's equally aching act with feeling. And Shirley Bassy made it a perfect 10.
Dame Shirley came through on another film song. Ryan and Ali had great chemistry. A wonderful love story, romance, script, visuals. No titillating teases. No CGI, no fantasy. Down-to-earth reality. As the saying goes, Hollywood "has lost that loving feeling...."
Love Story, never got the accolades it deserved, it was an a really brilliant depiction of love, and the reason for that, they bickered, they argued and fought, it was not all mush, it showed a couple as is. Ryan O'Neill and Alli were brilliant, to me this remains one of the most underrated movies of all time
