For me, this music feels magical yet sad. Especially since my Lavellan is romancing Solas, I feel the music perfectly captures the mixed emotions of loneliness and longing, sadness and anger, love and loss, the kinds of emotions my Lavellan definitely feels after Trespasser. It has the perfect balance between being madly in love and also being completely and utterly heartbroken. It has a magical feel akin to when you're overwhelmed by happiness that you'd cry, or being in a tragic love that you feel like smiling while crying. It's bittersweet.
I know the feeling I try everything for him not leave her but he insisted but he still loves her I hope bioware gave lavellan love she deserves and solas too
Even though I've only played DA:I once so far and romanced Cullen, I think more of Solas when listening to most of the OST (I regret not choosing him for first play-through).
Can you feel it? The heart, the very soul put into this song. No journey ever ends, it only pauses to begin again. Love. There are no words. There is no way to say the emotion you feel, when you're there, in their arms. It's like heaven. This music paints the pictures my clumsy lips can not.
I was with Cassie and Josephine on two different playthroughs. My elf mage was named "Outback Steakhouse" and I must say , he definitely got the Bloomin' Onion.
@@masquerademage I know that feeling ! xD The romance is just so... meaningful and sweet : complete ! Romance with bull is funny and respectful, mais I think BullxDorian is better.
There are a couple of different versions which have blended together here. Usually in the romance scenes you get the "tinkly" version that plays at the beginning. In the last love scene with Solas you get the choir and the violins that you hear around the 4:30 mark. I'm not sure when you get the one with the humming. I've rewatched some of the romance videos trying to pinpoint that one!
@@RanisAthrys Haha, what do you mean? If one can hear the choir here, they could hear it in the game. It's a matter of what you focus on in the game haha. :D
Cass was the best bro! I usually go for either the shy or rebellious girls in RPG's like Tali/Merrill or Jack/Isabella. But now even after like 7 Inquisition playthroughs, Cassandra is my favorite romance out of them all!
It's never too late for a good lore to become close to your heart🥺 This summer I spent 3 weeks straight playing all DA games for the first time and I regret no bit *gentle cuddle*
Man when I listen to this I think of all my favorite love interests from both the dragon age and mass effect series Garrus, Alistair thane Cullen Iron Bull Fenris( though I really wanted to romance Varric) ah so much nostalgia 😍😍😍😍🌹🌹🌹
Hey, can you please tell me when this moment happens? This looks like the Inquisitor's quarters in Skyhold, but I haven't seen this and I've romanced Cullen all the way into Trespasser :D
BluAlexa Pretty sure it's the chick who sits at the war table and deals with the politics of the Inquisition. Can't remember her name, it's been a while. She has darker skin.
Aaaah, so it's Josephine and male Inquisitor, not Cullen and female Inquisitor! My bad, I was just so caught up in the Cullen romance, it never occurred to me that it could be anyone else :)) Thanks for the reply, Orion!
I played this game and many others with my ex-gf by my side she and i both decided she was the most like cassandra, i remember going through cassandras romance with her..i cant even touch that game anymore now that im not with her anymore..
@@keiragrebe1777 yes, same for me! all romance stories were enjoyable, but the solavellan romance actually gave me feels, so it makes sense that the love theme best describes them.
I must say, I do like the corniness of many of the scenes in DAI. I would’ve liked for the darker nature of DA to shine through more, but there’s always next time.
if you want something happier, may i suggest Cullen? wonderful man with a wonderful romance ❤️ (though if you're sticking with angst and heartbreak i get it lol)
@@masquerademage We really want something happier, but once you fall for Solas you are trapped...it is what it is, and it's Solas...forever T_T *crying intensifies*
Because it is a reminder that all these memories and happiness was only fictional and all fiction has an ending. You get to deal with the sadness that is a form of grief.
- I lied about who I was. But I never lied about what I felt. No matter what I was or what becomes of me…right now I’m just a man with his heart laid bare. I leave it in your hands.
Bioware without a doubt are masters at creating soundtracks that fit perfectly with their unforgettable characters, it's beautiful. I really really hope EA doesn't end up killing them.
@@usaku9851 Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem are my examples of why Bioware is dying and EA is digging the grave but Fallen Order was great and against my better judgement i have some hope left
Honestly, each games romance music perfectly lines up with the atmosphere. Romances in origins were extremely epic and fantastical, dragon age 2 were very romantic and meaningful, and inquisition was very beautiful yet somber and fearful. In origins, you felt powerful and like you could never be beaten, in 2 you felt like your whole life was just one big d&d adventure, and yet in inquisition, it’s almost like a harsh reality that you aren’t the most powerful, nor is anything certain and that tomorrow could very much be your last.
To be fair hawke and the greywardens skills and experience is what introduced them to their epic journey while the inquisitor was just at the wrong place at the wrong time
- No matter what happens, I wouldn't trade the years we've spent together for anything. I love you. - I knew you would break my heart, you bloody bastard...
Why the hell did I pick now to listen to this?! I have finals to prepare for and now all I want is to play this game again. (Shakes fist at the sky) hahaha.
I watched a few gameplays where you can break up with the character, and when this beautiful music just stops its mentally heartbreaking. This piece of music truly tells a love story... I just love it... it gives me butterflies
Just don't try breaking up with Cassandra during the love scene in the grove outside sky hold. If you haven't seen it-look it up. It's so freakin heartbreaking!
Even if you don't use it for a romance, this music is VERY good for calming background/night time music which can be used many different games, including D&D. Love the simplicity and the magical feel to it. So far, I have only gotten to Blackwall's scene with this music, but it is just lovely.
