LOVEBITES - Scream For Me lyrics: SOLO: miho SOLO: miyako Communication breaking up and I can't figure it out Baffled, So out of touch with what's to come All because I just can't seem to get through to you We wait Debate Our fate Trying to escape from all the deceptive rules I've had enough So what's the way for us to get it? Before you go shoot me down Now's the time to come together Hear me out Cause what I think What I'm thinking about is If we let it take forever we just may lose it all "So what I think What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again" We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free - Panic fuzed me! SOLO: midori I wonder what you see whenever you're here standing in front of me What would it take to make a break From running in circles that only aggravate? Inside we hide but why? Genuine perspective could be the greatest gift we ever share I care enough to talk about it Come on Please don't shoot me down Now's the time to come together Hear me out Cause what I think What I'm thinking about is If we let it take forever we just may lose it all So what I think What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free, yeah Let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free SOLO: midori / miyako We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free, yeah We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free - panic fused me! SOLO: miyako / midori / miyako / midori / miyako / midori / miyako / midori / miyako / midori ----- lyrics: Dr U music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: The LOVEBITES EP 05/25/2017 & Awakening From Abyss 10/25/2017

This song is a very good example of how Asami's powerful and broad mezzo-soprano range allows her to soar above Lovebites extremely fast-paced and heavy instrumentation with ease to provide the melodic contrast. "Scream for Me" is one of their earliest tracks and they are this good right from the word go.

FYI, My view is that Lovebites' fans overwhelming prefer to watch reactions to live performances over studio versions - whenever available. The proof will be in the views and comments.

Thank you for this, and I should advise that I do know this to be true. However, I am actually specifically avoiding doing that for a couple of reasons. I should also point out that, I am aware my approach will get me less views, but I am taking this approach because I want to give the best and most honest first listens 😊 My couple of reasons lol; 1) For me, a live version is where you play with making alterations and fun additions to the song, so it is hard to appreciate those additions if you don't know the original first. Also, as someone who cares much more about songwriting than any other aspect, the extended solos you often get in live versions would make a song feel worse for me if I didn't know they were just for the live version. A well structured song could be made to appear over self indulgent if you don't know the additional parts are just for a bit more fun interaction between the band and audience (who know they are getting extra). 2) I also think there is a wave of "studio hate" that I maybe want to pushback against a bit as well. Having worked extensively with both live and studio music, I get very disappointed when people suggest studio versions are inferior, because it just shows they don't see the excitement of a band coming in for the first time, constructing and designing a song that is both fresh in their heart and feelings. The studio is an extremely exciting place, and for all the extravagence of a band playing a song for the 100th time with ease, I think there is an equal quality to hearing the band play the song to get the perfect take in the studio right as it is most relevant and exciting in their hearts. So I think there is a part of me that wants to pay respect to the song craft, as I am sure there are plenty of reactors out there who will focus much more on the musicianship. I know I will get less views, but I hope I give artists love for the thing I feel is most important: The manner in which they wrote, arranged, crafted and created the definitive & concise version of the song, from which all other versions stem. 🙌🥳 I know that was a really long reply 😂, and thank you for reading lol! You just asked a really important question, so I thought I would give a definitive reply here 😉

Thanks for checking this out. I'm more familiar with the Awakened version, which doesn't fade out, but I actually really like the rawness here, especially in Asami's voice. It's really the vocal line in all parts (verse, pre-chorus and chorus) that makes this one of my favourite Lovebites songs.

Watch the Live version! 14 guitar solos!

Thank you! I am considering coming back to some of these later as live version reactions. I've got to be honest though, as someone who loves song structure more than musicianship, it sounds like I would like that version less 😂. However, I aim to enjoy the live versions more for the atmosphere and showmanship, so that is an angle I'll be excited to enjoy after I get a to know the original songs as well as I can. Many repeat plays to enjoy the original first, so I can best enjoy the alternative vision of the live take😊!

all 4 songs on this EP got added to the 1st album The Awakening from the Abyss with the only real change being Haruna's song Bravehearted went from being in Japanese on the EP to translated to english by Asami on the Album version.

My two cents: when I watch a reaction video, I have no interest in a reaction to audio only. IMO, audio only is for driving, doing chores, etc. I'll move on.
@BakaBreakdown
@BakaBreakdown Месяц назад
That's fascinating, and I hope you don't take my reply the wrong way, but I'm kind of baffled by that. I am actually currently scripting a video for my other channel where I talk about the difference between live and audio only, and I discuss many angles but I never thought about it the way you just said. My only question is though, if that is the case, then what is it you are coming to the videos looking for? Not being combative, just genuinely interesting 😊. For me, the music is the entire focus, and anything else, like live footage, that's just some additional context. I would also suspect a reaction that was focusing more on the visual side would be kind of shallow? Again, really running my brain trying to see that view point. Would be honestly interested to get more of your feedback on this side, once again, in part because I am doing a video on this exact subject at the moment. Thanks!

@@BakaBreakdown Okay, I'll spill my guts. I'm 66yo and I probably fall into the category of male J-rock and metal fan of the female artists. My favs are Band-Maid, Lovebites, and Nemophila. You could sprinkle in a little Hanabie., Gacharic Spin, Bridear, etc. too. I also love Joe Satriani, Metallica, Slipknot, Lacuna Coil, Jinjer, and hundreds of classic rock artists that go back into my glory days. Anyway, I watch videos to watch videos - the artists performing in some manner - not to watch somebody just listening to music. I own all Band-Maid, Lovebites, and Nemophila CD's so I can listen to them whenever I want. I particularly enjoy reactions to these artists' videos for the first time. Since I can't watch Lovebites for the first time again, the next best thing is watching someone else watch Lovebites for the first time. Generally speaking, if I find a reactor annoying for some reason, i.e. stopping too much, constantly talking over the music, etc., I block their YT recommendations. There's certainly plenty of reactors left that I won't run out of videos to watch. Those I like, I subscribe. And if someone doesn't like a band that I like, like Lovebites, I won't tune in to them anymore either. Who wants to hear their favorites bad-mouthed, right? It sounds like you don't understand why I prefer a reactor to watch a video. Just watching someone listen only is simply boring to me. Can I provide clarification on anything? Did I explain anything or just ramble?
@BakaBreakdown
@BakaBreakdown Месяц назад
Not a ramble at all, that was genuinely quite interesting. I absolutely agree that the best thing about a reaction is it is like sharing that first experience with someone who is genuinely interested. I think we all know that feeling of sharing something you love and seeing someone else enjoy it. It somewhat is like re-experiencing it for the first time. I guess my only point of separation would still be that, what I am excited to share for the first time, is usually that feeling of hearing the song. The first time hearing this new song and arrangement come in to your life. Again, I feel the performance is just the icing on the cake. As you say, you can listen to the CDs anytime, and I guess you could do that with the videos too, so it is just the fact that the video is more of an experience than the song that I guess slightly passes me by. I feel like if I showed a video of my favourite band to a new person, I wouldn't expect them to 'get' it all. But when I play them the song, it is the great universal of music. They either love it or not, so I find that is more of a pure approach perhaps? In my view at least :) I'm always happy to learn how other people see this stuff, so I do appreciate your clarification and taking the time to explain!
