Thank you Pat! I did notice the stars but I wasn't sure if they were stage lights or what so I kept quiet about them so I didn't sound like an idiot lol.

@@Killermcknight She never plays those star cymbals - but the one in front of her kit Spins, she sometimes spins it with her sticks, and sometimes other bandmates will spin one when they are close enough. The star cymbals have been Haruna's Trademark since at least back when she and Miho played in Destrose.

Or in some ways even better!!! And she herself to play.

So Many great versions of that song. My personal favorite is the show closer @ Wacken. They were so inspired by how big their crowd grew during the performance that they were On Fire when they got to Shadowmaker.

​@@Patrick_H. Oh, yes, Patrick. Wacken has a special air in their performance and in the crowd. They were about rising in the world and the crowd felt that. I love all the versions of Shadowmaker. The sound is the best in MV. Clear video quality is the latest version which is 2021. The special air and the moment is Wacken but you must know the background of the moment. Wacken was their dream came true.

YES!!! Shadowmaker MV is the best. I lost my LoveBites virginity to this song. Midori is good but her solos all sound the same, nothing but speed.🤷‍♂

Bruce, I think that's fair. I am new to lovebites, I don't have years of experience with the band and to be honest I don't even know their names. I gravitate more towards Midori from my perspective because of her stage presence. She definitely gets into live which is why I dubbed her in my opinion a superstar or rockstar because she's performing like one. I saw Miyako's Solo and I thought it was very good similar even to Midori but the deliveries where different. No doubt both of them are super talented but I think you hit the nail on the head about the experience I have with the band, I'm sure as I discover more I'll be singing a new tune.

OMG you really aren’t happy because he likes Midori? That is so bizarre! He’s allowed to like Midori over Miyako, not saying Miyako isn’t a very accomplished musician but not everybody is salivating over Miyako. Haruna is a fantastic drummer but nobody seems to mention her. ALL these ladies are exceptional and I can’t believe you called him out because he likes Midori!

Midori has ALWAYS been a great shedder, Miyako has improved to close(equal?) to Midori's shred level since they've been practicing together for 6 years. Midori took up guitar at age 20 and went to a speed-shred academy, Miyako literally taught herself out of a book when she was 18! @Bruce Harvey, Although Miyako writes about half their music, she writes no lyrics. She also has said that Midori has techniques and speed she lacks. Midori is a graduate of Musicians Institute, Japan, starting guitar age 20 after piano (age 2) & organ (age 8), while Miyako taught herself guitar starting age 18 using the book "Mechanical Training Phrases From Hell" and uses a combination of traditional blues/rock riffs/bends with Van Halen-esque tapping & sweeps, Classically flavored from decades of piano (from age 3). Fine that you like Miyako best but "real genius" is seen & heard from all members in their individual 'play' as well as their unity/synchronicity in writing/performing, all collaborating on "arrangements" which is significant when hearing their intricacies. Example: nobody tells Haruna what to play on drums & what she plays is complex, technical & demanding for one song, let alone 2 hours of such ... yet not 'credited' specifically. Midori writes all her own solos, but not 'credited' as such, just as Miyako writes her own. They collaborate on the harmony-duets. This regardless of who is 'credited' with the song's composition. Asami writes most lyrics except Miho's songs. (2 by Miyako's friend Dr.U) Miho (bassist) has written nearly 1/3 of all songs to this point, both music & lyrics, & as founder, leader, lyricist, composer, bassist & background vocalist, deserves considerable credit for the band even existing at all. Midori is technically phenomenal, though many overlook her "feel" because in contrast to Miyako's "traditional" (Gary Moore-esque) blues/rock which people are familiar with identifying as "emotion". Midori expresses herself in more uniquely creative ways made possible by her technical ability that transcends the 'traditional' & 'familiar'. She can play anything, but why do what others do that has been heard before? The solos in this song are an excellent example of the differences I just explained. I can hear "feel" in Midori's 'shredding/breaking the wall' with the first segment of her solo, then to stepping forward to revel in her victory, to a pinnacle of joyful intensity. It is STILL Midori who immediately transitions the entire mood of the song with slow arpeggiated clean chords, joined by Miho's bass, to create the most serene segment in any LOVEBITES song, taking it from most intense solo to most serene calm (making space for Miyako's 'bluesy' solo) is rarely acknowledged by reactors or Wolf-Pack. I want to honor and respect all 5 members for their virtuosity in music & positivity in 'message' while "owning" life's harsh challenges.

Thanks for that Sal, I made good compliments about Midori and the comment section turned into a debate about guitarist which is not my intention at all and was just vocalizing my opinion. I think Lovebites is amazing and I can't wait to hear what else they have in store!
