However, the audio for the Blu-Ray was RE-RECORDED, MIXED, and MASTERED at 2 completely different studios in POST PRODUCTION!!! There. The truth is out there now.

This is very old-school-heavy-metal-fashion ) I think not only me, but many of LoveBites fans love the band for this dedication to good old times good old heavy metal ) Good old -- but not "rusty", not "rubbish", not "crap", not "copycat" and etc. This is a feeling we get from them - that good old feeling )

You still opened that can of worms by inference. LOL! As someone who has done a little bit of studio recording, I might be inclined to believe you if this is what you're saying... 1. They played and recorded both audio and video live while having each of their instruments and vocals recorded into its own track. 2. The sound engineers then took the audio out of the video recording, manipulated the separate audio tracks to enhance the sound without changing tempo or length of tracks and then laid them back on top of the video recorded so that it was still perfectly synchronized. If that's what you're saying, then yes I might have to agree with you. But if you're saying this was the equivalent of them playing silently and then another studio recording laid on top of the video, then I disagree. This most certainly was not anything like the Mili Vanilli situation we had decades ago where they were caught outright lip syncing. And no, I'm not butt hurt because I'll still respect your opinion. I'm sorry, but I really don't understand why everyone is getting their panties in a twist. Everyone knows that the audio for a DVD undergoes post-production. It's happened for every band who has ever released a concert DVD. The video is untouched, and the audio goes through post-production. Who cares??? The only way you'll get pure audio (maybe) is if you go to a live concert. Even then, the singer may be lip-synching and using a backtrack. Or using AutoTune or it's equivalent. Unfortunately, the majority of the bands I've seen live are nowhere near as good as their CDs and DVDs would have you believe. The only question that matters is, "Do you enjoy the music, or not." If you do, listen to it; if you don't, don't listen to it. And if you like what a reactor does on his channel, watch it; if you don't like what he does, then don't watch it. See how simple that is?? However, If you have a problem with post-production, you should never listen to a CD or any other music again. Simple as that.

I just don't get it. People turn to 'reactors' for their honest opinion, and get all bent when the reactor gives it and it's not what they expected or agree with. It's mental, if every body liked the same thing there would be only one band, one genre of music and only a handful of songs. How boring would that be! People should trust that the person on the screen KNOWS what he's on about and is speaking from experience, some one like you, and accept what you say! If not, just walk away, Gods we are a nation of cry babies!

Another point for your argument, dynamics mics are never used for vocals in a studio setting. That said, video footage does exist of Miyako doing the left hand hammer ons/right hand piano live on stage. She can pull it off.

This performance was from the same limited release DVD the Helloween cover you reacted to several months ago was from. It's one of their earliest songs. Not to review but just your own entertainment/curiosity if you want to see a different live version of the song, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RrEw83_WzfQ.html is from one of their first ever shows outside of Japan: - so early that Midori is on stage left (with dark hair even) while Miyako is on stage right (they switched sides shortly after this because they thought it allowed more room for Miyako's keyboard setup). It's fan footage off a phone, not bad for that sort of thing but obviously not professional quality. If the guitar & keyboard segment (which is what this song is most famous for) is what you primarily want to hear done live it starts around 3 : 11 (sorry for the weird formatting but when I first wrote the timestamp normally You Tube automatically converted it into a very misleading link)

I'm not sure, but this performance is for the CD.. That's why it needs more edit to sound better for the fans.. I think, it's better than just playing the original song, but showing the live session instead.. I do really want to hear the raw sound from that studio performance.. Obviously you don't release a DVD without post production to ensure the best possible audio and video but if you watch this song live from...I think it's Daughters of the Dawn, Miyako still does the piano/guitar thing but obviously you have to fix the sound before you expect people to pay for a product like a DVD. This is not one of my personal favorites and you've given them much higher scores for better songs so I'm not mad at you 😛

Hey David just came from the community post after waking up with the notification. I can tell you put a lot of hard work and take a lot of pride in what you do. I'm a cabinet maker by trade and work at a high end kitchen company. Some of the stuff I've made in the past is art, and I take pride in stuff I do too. No different than making music or a you tube video. So I understand where your coming from getting annoyed. I'm sure you have heard this before but the best advice is don't feed the trolls... I'm a big time nerd and part of some other communities like sci-fi, and anime and there are some really toxic people there too, no different in the music scene. Best way to deal with people who get but hurt over what they precived to be wrong is just ignore them and take their voice away, every attempt I've seen on the internet to engage people like that has failed miserably. Just go ask Tank the Teck how his one and only Lovebiites reaction went. Keep up the great work man! Late to the part(crazy 3 weeks prior to today) but it's great to be back and watch your reactions David. As for people being butthurt, sadly it's in their nature to think their favorite(s) bands are perfect and not a single soul can say otherwise or they don't know anything about music and are "hating"(and I say this as someone that has had lovebites as one of my favorite bands of the last 5 years). You never, ever, spoke badly of lovebites, not even a hint(I hope people don't think that you saying Miyako in a couple videos being stationary is hating or criticizing, it's an observation, but you never know), and people get mad just for stating something that is true and in no way harms them? I don't get it either man. I laughed whenever you wanted to say something about the live stuff but were holding it down so hard because honestly, it's your channel and you can say whatever you want. The rude people that attack you personally, they're the problem. Hell. the rants like i said before are the best part, be it positive or negative, it comes from the heart. To conclude, the song sounds very old school which is typical with lovebites(or was with Miho behind it, i'm not sure about the future) because Miho loved the 80's metal era. Definitely not one of their best songs but good enough to rock out a bit.

i myself dont believe in the whole "studio live" thing myself no matter what group it is. however song wise this is a good song. not a top song by lovebites for me but a decent lovebites song is usually better then most bands best songs. i guess this is requested more for the visual of miyako on keys and guitar at the same time. in the occasion this song is played live she does the same live. it can be seen in the 2018 "Battle In The East" show. witch was a great performance. im still looking forward to you checking out "Under The Red Sky" because thats 10 times the song this is

Its not the best song by them, is a good song and I understand what you meaning. I would like to see you reacting the song "Spellbound" live, in this song they brings something new (for the band) to the stage and its fun to watch.

I want to say that it doesn't matter if it's real live or not. What is important is what you feel when you listen to it, and that you visually appreciate the technicality of the musicians. The rest we don't care about.

This is the best studio live but live at the concert they play it more than the best believe me I listened to it it was live stream without any remastering. Stay safe. Stay Lovebites. If you want to compare Ladies to Judas take studio versions of Painkiller of both bands.

What comes to live/studio discussion. It sounds odd, that they would record this whole thing separately, again. These tracks are not the same recordings they are in they albums. There is big differences with his "live", compared to album versions. Wouldn't it be easier to just use album recordings, if they add the sound separately? Well, how ever they did it... I think we both agree that Miyako is fully capable of playing that keyboard+guitar part live concert as well, and probably does some day. Personally, not one of my favorite songs... I was actually surprised to see it, while I have been waiting for "Under the red sky"...

Well I'm sorry but I just don't see the issue?? Why do people make mountains out of molehills. Obviously some on here are seasoned musicians and been playing live and studio stuff for years 🙄

It really doesnt matter, but just because something was mixed somewhere else doesnt mean it was re-recorded... it means it was recorded in one studio and mixed in another Either way, having post-production doesnt mean it isnt live and pretty much everything we see in live videos has post-production.

Coming in late. Very late. I've been busy, ok? Anyway, I kinda sort of respect that they sweetened the mix or otherwise re-recorded because so few _actual_ live performances or "live to tape" sound what I would define as "great". Then again, the last 10-15 years of live concerts have so much pre-production in the, to begin with. . . I digress. Song? Considering power metal and I don't have the best relationship, it was OK. I've been in an art-rock / EDM mood lately.

Miyako plays the keyboard and guitar in their for real live show too. As at least one other person commented, she did the same during the Battle in the East concert they released on DVD/BluRay. There have been a few artists who have done this over the years. You can search for it and find a few people who have done it, playing keyboard and guitar at the same time. It is the biggest highlight of this song and why so many Lovebites fans ask for this song. But I am in agreement with others that Lovebites has a lot of songs much stronger than this one.

Dave no worries, I wasn't fooled and I did not care. I know when they play live they Slay so I just focused on the fact that this sounds like old Priest. Really brought me back.

First time I listened to this song, it reminded me of some of the ZZ Top riffs but the early Judas Priest vibe is more accurate. It sounds like a faster Sinner. Due to some technical limitations, I think it's impossible to produce in real time that sound quality in a Live Studio but the song is good and the ladies look gorgeous as always. I did notice the height of the studio and the angles of the ceiling though.

Regarding the early Judas Priest vibe, the very first thing I said when I first heard this song was that it reminded me of Judas Priest circa about the Point of Entry era (not necessarily that album, but just that general era after Stained Class and before Screaming for Vengeance). As to the question of whether it is truly live, this clip is from the "Awake Again - Live from the Abyss" concert, which was recorded in-studio in 2020, due to COVID, and which was later released as a DVD/BluRay, so take that for what it's worth. There was possibly some post-production on the dvd release, but the original performance was live-streamed on October 25, 2020, for their third anniversary.

In the last 50 years of heavy metal, everything that could be done musically about the genre has been done. It's almost impossible for a new band not to be compared to some of the greatest bands of all time. And it will be the same in the distant future. I know it's hard not to compare, but I think we need to listen to new bands with a free mind. Especially if you are under 40 years old. Maybe 50 years from now, new bands can be called Lovebites-influenced bands. That's life. Cheers! Stay safe!

It would make 0 sense for them to record this live for the cameras and then go to another studio to record just the audio all over again, this is not the album audio. They had all the time in the world to put a perfect studio concert, why would they use a recording session with bad audio or something

When I saw you had reacted to a second song from this 'live' set, my heart fell. I do not understand subscribers and Patreon's requesting anything from this set. There are other bands who have livestream concerts and as with this 'live' set, the rabid fans can not or refuse to grasp that it is not live. How you held back and did not comment more about it is amazing! Your bottom lip must be cut to shreds. I can only ask that you do not make any more reactions to songs from this set but realise Patreon requests dictate your choice. Lovebites spoil us all with the quality of their songs but for me, this song is not one I turn to every time. I am rather underwhelmed with the piano and guitar playing at the same time but as others have commented, it probably was the reason for most of the requests to Burden Of Time.

Good reaction, however I will say that the hi-hat count in is most definitely not on the studio recording. Do I think there is post editing done, sure. No argument there. Maybe clarify that they recorded this live and then it was edited in post-production before being added to this video. By repeatedly saying I'm not going to get into it, etc. comes off as know-it-all-ish and elitist, which I hope you weren't doing on purpose. And this was a live stream so there is that. Sorry to burst your bubble on that, sir.

Not one of my favorite Lovebites songs. All the rhetoric of some of it being prerecorded is just silly drivel that comes off a bit smarmy. Are you suggesting that Miyako is incapable of playing piano and chording the guitar at the same time? After viewing almost all of Lovebites music I remain highly impressed. Not a big metal fan but this group is so much more than just that. They have it all! From production, lyrics, vocals, song structure, dress, stage presence and performance they get an A+! While they do play along with pre-recorded background tracks at times IMO it only enhances their live performance in a tasteful and non-distracting way. Lyrics are very thoughtful, empowering, encouraging, inspiring, and mostly optimistic contrasting with most metal groups of the past. Their musical style is still similar without all the darkness associated with that musical genre. Their lack of gimmicks like painting their faces or looking like trash is a huge plus and refreshingly different. In their live concert settings their overall production- video, audio, and lighting are great and not over killed with too much “gilding of the lily.” The studio setting was something different and even if the song was not one my favs because of personal preference doesn't detract from the presentation. Can anyone name a current group with 2 guitarists that play so well together with such precision and variety? Yes, I have listened to several Dragon Force songs which over kill the dual guitar work. I have no problem with your score.

It's weird, you seem to think it is not live because it was mixed and mastered for a dvd release (something that every band in existance does including most if not all live stuff you watch in your channel), so pointing at this one in particular comes off as if you are somehow undermind or insinuate they can't do that live when most people saw they doing it live in the stream and in real life. I've seen you respond to people saying this is live by telling them that it was mixed and mastered at a studio, somehow post production means not live for you, if that's how you trully believe then I've got bad news for you for literally everything you watched in your channel lol
