Asami means Morning Beauty in English. She wanted to be an actress and can express her feelings on stage, she wrote this text. Several of the reactors were deeply touched, and one was shedding tears with emotion. This is the power of Asami, this is the power of the Lovebites. Great.
In fact, surname also has meaning. “Watanabe” means “crossing the border” and is family that came to Japan from China hundreds of years ago. "Uematsu" means "planting pine trees" and is family that was engaged in the tree planting industry. On another topic, the Japanese version of the 2nd album "clockwork immortality" has comments from all the members, and miho wrote: "Journey to the otherside" is a song dedicated to miho's beloved father who died on August 15, 2018. (After that, miho's view of life and death is written over 15 lines.) her father, who was working to save the lives of others, could not save his own life. her father came to all the concerts at near Tokyo. The last conversation with her father was on the night of August 13th, when she returned from uk, "How was the wacken open air?"
This song was written by Asami way before she joined Lovebites, it never was touched by anyone, never recorded or produced or anything. She brought it to Miyako's attention and she fell in love with it so between Asami and Miyako doing the finishing touches to it, this is what you have a Masterpiece in its own, I know for a fact that if this song were to have been released back in the "80s it would have on all charts as number one for many weeks. I haven't heard a beautiful ballad like this in many years in my opinion this is already a classic, soon many will be doing a cover of it, mark my word!
Good Morning! Thank You! After hearing this song one tough night at 2AM in darkness bringing all sorts of emotions and waterfalls out of me I knew that they are the best band on the planet. Miyako going from classical guitar (with another one strapped) then onto piano, then doing a piece where Gary Moore is smiling from wherever he is then back to piano ... well, ok, keyboards. Then Midori with that darn good solo that reminds me Yngwie Malmsteen guitar tone backed by Miho's beautiful bass play and Haruna's chill drums ... it is a masterpiece that can go head to head with those from those 80's ballads like Scorpions or G'n'R and bunch of others. Like someone said, Asami wrote this song, both lyrics and composition. Then Miyako and Mao (keyboardist of Light Bringer) who does a lot of their production/programming and helps with both composing and lyrics helped her create what you witnessed. Whenever you get a chance listen to their Helloween cover - Eagle Fly Free, it is Miho's song, she shines, has a solo, you'll love it. I know I was happy like a puppy when I saw Miho dominate the entire song! :) To change a bit ... Asterism - Rising Moon. A Japanese trio, instrumental.
I enjoyed your reaction. Thanks for more LOVEBITES! This is their one ballad that stays ballad throughout. Again, lyrically, a very valuable expression of empathy, self-confidence, unity and acceptance of others and self. Asami consistently teaches us about honorable relations. I will mention once again about your 'favorite' Miho, the "o" at the end is a 'long' o sound, just like the letter itself, not "Me-who" but "Me-HO" which I believe is the same 'o' sound you use for both O's in MOMO. btw, my name "dregeye" is pronounced like two words "dreg - eye" representing that, regarding things being discarded as no longer of use (dregs), such as clean water, air, soil, mutual respect and empathic understanding, I see value (eye). These are things that lifeless legal-fiction 'corporate-persons' currently in control of our world have been discarding and/or destroying for many decades. There is a collection/playlist of original songs on my channel with the same drawing as my 'avatar' with lyrics (in descriptions) and music that represent these perceptions, varying from happy children's songs to harsh-truths (what Miho usually writes about). Thanks for your continued LOVEBITES reactions. I am subscribed. I will suggest one of Miho's songs conveying some profound wisdom, imo, "M.D.O.": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NW0hq66Gp9Q.html Possibly as different from Epilogue as any LOVEBITES song. I'd like to add that including link to original video in your description is encouraged and appreciated, "Epilogue": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JGzdspVDZeU.html
There are a lot of bands that can go hard and fast, but very few that can pull off something like this. Great reaction, you captured a little bit of why they are so special. I saw many of the classic rock and metal bands in their heyday (Purple, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Queen, Nazareth and more) and Lovebites stand shoulder to shoulder with any of them.
Very nice analysis of a versatile amazing singer , and of course the band. You should make a reaction to , Lovebites - A Frozen Serenade ( fan made video ) a little different, but a super number , also a great video with some funny clip at the end.
Very good reaction. I think you had an ethereal experience listing to Asami singing this song. She hit the emotions perfectly. The time she spent in the US prior to joining Lovebites gave her a great understanding of the nuances and emotions of English. Miho and Haruna really did nice work to keep the tone and provide some accent when necessary. Miyako and Midori classical guitar opening is absolutely beautiful. When I listen to the solos I hear a mastery on display by both guitarists. They both know when to let notes breath playing with expert staccato. Reminds me of Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore, Eddie Van Halen and Matthias Jabs. They could play using legato or staccato. Miyako on the piano with the guitar on her back was great, but did you notice that little blues riff she put in? Loved that. Midori's end solo was perfection. Again, using excellent staccato. Wow!
MASTERPIECE!! "EDGE OF THE WORLD", "EMPTY DAYDREAM", "SWAN SONG" are the masterpieces, too. LOVEBITES has many powerful songs and "MANY BEAUTIFUL SONGS".
So bummed I didn't get to see them live them during this performance. 💔 Lets hope the normal concept of going to a concert returns soon. 🤞 I've got experience this LIVE. 🤘💕🤘
The best Epilogue reaction I’ve seen. You’ve explained how I feel every time I hear this, which is probably my single favourite performance by the band. I get lost in this track, and Asami’s vocals give me chills, and often tears. A beautiful tribute.
LOVEBITES - Epilogue lyrics: If you have never cried, your eyes can’t be so beautiful If you have never been hurt, you can’t feel the pain of others I will believe myself We’ll never be alone You will believe yourself We are the only ones If you have never failed, you cannot be happy for success If you have never loved, you cannot feel the love from others I will believe myself We’ll never be alone You will believe yourself We are the only ones, forever… Just the way you are Just the way you are Be the one you wanna be, with your own melody Just the way you are Just the way you are Love the song you sing Sing the song you love
Good morning too you sir. Finally you check out "epilogue" from Lovebites. The best one power Ballads song all the time. Anyway you ready to check out they song "Journey to the other side" This is link : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zfOwIVzSG80.html On this song miho get crying. Because she remember her father. Her father has passing away. Sorry if my English wrong. Once again big thanks for great reaction.
There is nothing that these insanely talented women can't do from Power, Thrash, Ballads and even classical piano and each one is done FLAWLESSLY even LIVE!!!!The level of musicianship in this group is stunning to watch and Asam's vocals continue to get better with each new video as she has become a stage master for this band. Here acoustic guitars, piano and Asami's beautiful R & B vocals just lull you into a dream state. Great lyrics as well, something Metal doesn't often accomplish. Gary Moore (RIP) is hearing those crying guitars and smiling broadly!!! Speaking of great musicianship with very little views still waiting to see your response to Asterism Dawn LIVE (small club venue) (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-buQPvINJcA0.html). Haruka was 16 on guitar and a force of nature unleashed as was her bassist Miyu 17 and their string work was truly amazing to see up close. This band blends Metal, Rock and Jazz and that infusion makes for a great instrumental sound, yeah no vocalist but their music sings loud and clear to anyone who wants to hear!!!
@@UNCLEMOMO glad you see it. i don't read as many comments saying they can't pull this off live as i used to.but they are even better. and at 67 i've seen a band or two ! in my top 5 bands ever. can you dig it ? ! the only thing not live is a few piano parts piped in [ and that is when miyako is too busy with her shredding ] and some keyboards by mao. but those belong there and should be there and make the song complete. and one or two piped in choir parts. other than that it's ALL them
These ladies are nothing but pure talent. They may not jump around on the stage like the typical western bands. But the fact I have never heard a single note missed on any of their live videos . (It could be edited out). But I think ladies are that good that they don't need it. I really hope Miho comes back she is the core of their sound.
I watched 3 different videos: Destinys Align, Golden Destination and Rising. They don’t seem to interact with each other... not cohesive? For me, they have a long way to go. I reflected on the 70s Clubs of the Hollywood rock era. Not bad, just does nothing for me. Thanks 🌺
