There is some religious symbolism in this song but it's metaphorical. When Midori (lead guitarist at stage right) was in the US or UK, she went to some churches to listen to gospel music. She liked it and she incorporated that into this track which she co-composed. This song (and the EP) was released during the middle of the pandemic and Asami (lead vocalist) mentioned that she wanted "Glory to the World" to be a gift of hope to the world during the darkest of times, and she wrote the lyrics to reflect that.
This song was about giving people hope during covid days, people are already forgetting how bad 2020-2021 was. Many people ended their own liife or became severely depressed during this time. Hope that helps, it's possible that they know a lot of people connect churches and other religious images with having hope and faith during difficult times. But I don't really know about all of that. I just enjoy the song and the positive messages in the lyrics, also did you notice during the guitar solos they used 2 different color filters. The first filter was greyed out and darker, the 2nd filter was bright and tinted golden. If you missed it, watch it again, paying attention to the change in colors and what the music is doing before and after the change.
LOVEBITES - Glory to the World lyrics: Everything around us will fall into dark When you keep on looking into the sadness Nobody in this world may ever be free My hearts will shiver and I can't take deep breath But rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify The dawn will come and bring the light in this world Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me Standing in nowhere and searching for meanings A sleepless night haunting us like a shadow A blur in the future, the fear of unknown There will come a time where we can leave everything behind Breeze are running through the land and endless to the sky Together we will make it through this deep night Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me SOLO: midori / miyako / both And rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify The dawn will come and bring the light and lead us to a new world Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Wherever you go, this world that we breathe together, Nothing more precious ----- lyrics: asami music: midori & Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Glory, Glory To The World 03/10/2021
This song was written to give people hope during the time of the pandemic. The guy in the video I took as the personification of Jesus Christ. There is a live version of this song on RU-vid if you want to check it out.
The guy is Jesus of Resurrction trying to find the way to go. This piece was written in the time of China virus situation and singing about the world overcoming the situation. I also prefer live performances too.
