At 70 I have seen and heard a multitude of metal bands and without wanting to criticize or denigrate any of them, these young women are the most talented I have seen and heard. They have changed my musical universe so much they are above everything that has been done. And by far !

When you wake up most mornings humming a Lovebites song....Guess the only thing they have left to take is my Soul. 🐺

The black haired guitarist was between 4 and 5 months pregnant when this concert was recorded. She also played several other two hour concerts around this time in 2021.

LOVEBITES is a heavy metal band founded in 2016 by Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums), but they made their major debut in just half a year after their first performance, and performed band activities mainly in Japan/UK/EU. . Starting with "WACKEN OPEN AIR2018", they have participated in major metal festivals in each country and have already been highly evaluated. In addition, he has deepened friendships with other famous bands, such as accompanying "Dragon Force UK Tour 2019" as a support act. From the moment they chose white feminine stage costumes, which can be said to be heresy in heavy metal, they decided to become "a lone wolf-like existence" and made the wolf the symbol of the band. This band was the best thing I have discovered in many years and as you said, they are very inspiring, they made me interested in learning music and instruments, something that I never thought I would do. Please come back to more Lovebites, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list). LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Finally girl! I swear I'm happy to see you do a video review of one of the greatest metal bands of these times. Hello. Well, you’ve just watched greatness. Yes, these women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Currently they are one of the best, if not the best, metal bands in the whole world (male or female). Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Their live performances are outstanding.

I love watching your reaction journey, you are following the same path I started 2 yrs ago except I’m too camera shy to upload to RU-vid.

For anyone who loves the old school Speed/Power metal and Thrash metal (Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Judas Priest, Slayer, Testament) NEEDS to learn that this band exists. Musically, they are probably the most talented hard rock band performing today, and they simply don't have a bad song in their catalogue. Quite frankly, they are freaking amazing.

Watching you smiling through the whole song told me you were bitten. I was sold 30 seconds into the first song I ever saw of theirs….a new favourite band, right there and then. That was almost two years ago. Now I don’t play anything else, and (here in the U.K.) I spend every evening checking out every new Lovebites reaction, giving both you and, for me, more importantly, the band, some support. These ladies deserve far, far more attention than they are currently getting, and people such as yourself are helping them get it. So thank you for reacting to the best band in the history of music, and welcome to the Wolfpack.

LOVEBITES has a song called "When Destinies Align" that has a line that says, "It is failure that has brought us here," which is perfect for these five ladies. Haruna (drummer) and Miho (bass guitar, left the band in August of 2021) were in a band called Destrose that disbanded after many lineup changes, Miyako (the brunette guitarist who was pregnant during this show) was in A Drop of Joker which disbanded (her other band, 21g, would officially disband in 2019 and a side project, Sonic Lover Reckless, never went anywhere), Midori (blonde guitarist) was in Gekijo★METALicche for their short time together, and Asami (singer) was a live backup singer for other acts and had a solo career that never took off. From all those ashes rose LOVEBITES, and now with the recent announcement of Fami becoming their new bass guitarist, the future looks bright for LB. Thanks for reacting to them.

More Lovebites? Whoopee! If you're a fan after one song then you are really going to have your mind blown. They have some fifty songs in their repertoire and there's not a single bad one among them. I'll not burden this comment with s detailed history of the band because, as you are about to find out, the fans who call themselves the "Wolf Pack" are about to come calling in force and you'll be inundated with background information. Suffice it to say that you've just found the best female heavy metal band on the planet and one of the best of either gender.

I was one of the no doubt many who highly recommended Lovebites to you - as I've said before, I haven't steered you wrong yet !😆 May I suggest 'Swan song' next but it has to include the Chopin piano intro - you'll love it I'm sure - and you'll probably have to pick up your jaw from the floor too! 😃Not sure if you've covered a Canadian band called 'Unleash the Archers' yet - they're worth a listen too. 'Beyond the Black' from Germany whom I saw live a few weeks ago here in London - female led also. And my favourite band apart from Nightwish (still haven't managed to sell those tickets sadly) 'Babymetal' - they are not just a band but a whole experience - their live shows in Japan are on another level - if you ever get to do one of theirs, maybe don't start with 'Gimme Chocolate' as 99% of all reactors as it's had a gazillion views - they've got many more wonderful songs. "Holy Wars" was written (music and lyric) by Miho, bass and band founder, with Mao, unofficial band member. Miho has left the band and after a worldwide search via audition recordings they now have a new bassist, Fami. Check "Bravehearted" short ver. They are all petite ladies and to be seen on the Dark Metal Stages they choose to wear white to reflect the lights for them to be seen. Asami, vocals is 4'10" and Haruna, drums is 4'9"!! Miyako, first guitar solo, has never taken guitar lessons, and Midori, second solo, didn't begin seriously playing the guitar until she was 20.

Their 2020 zepp Tokyo gig was just absolute banger. it sounds incredible, they had better video material etc... so you definitely want to watch that gig for recordings of their songs.

in the end of the performance, it's a bit sad because the crowds used to scream all the time, but they can't even yell at this concert because of the pandemic regulations in early 2021.

I guess I should admit, I knew nothing about the band but the name, so I didn't click on Lovebites reactions. Until a few days back... and I learned the depth of my mistake. That's some serious Power/Speed metal. So I'm doing some catchup on Lovebites reactions now.

In their five years of existence thus far, they have easily put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-long hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 and their fans eagerly await their next move. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." The members of Wolfpack(Fan club) highly recommend live videos. LOVEBITES is better with live videos than with music videos. In our experience, live videos outside of LOVEBITES have often not been as reproducible as music videos. However, since the release of the album, the girls have practiced and improved on some of the songs, and have recreated songs that would be impossible to recreate in a live performance.
