The Victorian sound was from the composer Mao Yamamoto, a Close friend of Fuki and longtime collaborator with UM . . and he is also the 'Secret' 6th Wolf of Lovebites who has helped with compositions and arrangements since the beginning. I Love how Fami makes a Statement on the Main Riff, finger picking the first half - and then Slapping the exact same notes in the 2nd half. These women are literally Too Good To Be True . . but . . I like that without trying too hard you can clearly hear all of the instruments in this one. All of them are equal footing technically, even Asami has more range it seems. Speaking of UM, they uploaded a new video for Welcome to Valhalla.

I don’t compare Miho vs Fami; they just have different styles and what is relevant to me is that Lovebites is rising again. I thank Miho for creating an awesome metal band; it was her vision.

Miho is an excellent musician. Several compositions that had us getting up from our seats and headbanging as if we were at a live performance were Miho's compositions. We need to remember that Miho was the founder of the band. Without Miho there would be no Lovebites today. Furthermore, she was the leader of the band - recognized by all members - as the one who accomplished everything. That is, he was a leader on stage and off stage. Several songs were created by her. She is also the author of the compositions. Long live Miho. May she one day return to Lovebites! 🎸🤘🐺🔥

You got a victorian vibe out of this song and I got more of a Spanish Phrygian style which is used mainly by the Spanish of Spain not the Spanish of central and south America. In any case, the song is freaking amazing some completely different from what we have already heard from Lovebites. I for one am sick of everyone calling it power metal only because of how fast they play, they just can't call it what it is heavy metal period. The bass of Fami was exceptional and quite explosive, already there have been some morons who began to disrespect Miho by saying those stupid things that were not worth saying. I literally had to shut them down "Let's not disrespect Miho that way idiots, remember if it weren't for Miho's future vision there wouldn't be a Lovebites" Plus I had a couple of guys back me up and concurring.

Lovebites keep upgrading their musicianship. Always something awesome gonna happen. How not to love them all. Great reaction bro..👍👍🤘🤘

Its so damn good, i've been listening to it non stop since release. Can't wait to listen to the 9 other songs on the album coming out February 22, the tracklist is sounding epic already.

Funny - I just noticed "dark Miyako" is playing her Dean ML while "normal Miyako" is playing her signature Dean V.

Asami composed another masterpiece.. What a comeback for Lovebites! Fami is unstoppable. Miho delivered solid and smooth base lines while Fami's style is more choppy and she operates her bass like a lead guitar. Bright future for the band :) Merry Christmas wolfpack :)

Fami plays bass as a lead instrument. Lovebites basically have a triple attack. That's kind of a first.

I've listened to this song so many times now and I still haven't got sick of it yet. It's probably one if the most ear pleasing metal song I've ever heard. And I love metal, especially thrash.

Definitely a great speed metal song. Reminds me of Yousei Teikoku - performing "Shito Kanadeshi Hametuno Tategoto" particularly with the pace and sound of Haruna's drumwork.

Great reaction bro. I love how Midori went like Malmsteen in second part of the solo-that really made my day. They are improving even more, its terrifying. This has some progressive power metal elements which is amazing. We all know that The Wolfpack is best metal band in the universe right now. Fami is great. Check out her YT channel, its really nice. She does many bass covers from different genres, apsolute monster on bass.

Famis basplaying is out of this world and lift upp Lovebites music to a another level.

This has a very 1800s classic feel to it with Fami's bass lines. Fami has turned her instrument into a character in a story.. she knows today is Judgment Day and today is going to be make or break.

As commenter Sal Saucedo noted: "Spanish Phrygian". Yes, and while the music indicates it Asami wisely phrases it in the cadence so it doesn't get lost in the mix (wonder if that was her's or Mao's doing). For those not familiar with the style (though doubtful since it's been used throughout musical history) listen to the group 'Love' from the 60's: 'Alone Again Or'. And Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass was basically in that style. And of course, Flamenco music. In short, a nice touch to JD which to me sounds like the child of 'Shadowmaker' and 'Glory to the World'. If the new album is up to that and other phrasings it might be something really interesting. Though I'm very interested to hear Miyako's new compositions.

Strategically they have made a "general public" title without denying their identity. The synth part is magnificent and corresponds well with the theme of the song. Moreover it allows the delicate ears to have a listening with a less aggressive sensitivity. The chorus is simple but effective. It runs through your head after listening. About the bass, it rocks on the chorus part. As a whole the title sounds "full" I imagine the trick in concert the effect should be grandiose. The vocal part is new. Asami changes of scale instantly in the same sentence that adds an "epic" effect to the title. The solo part is wonderful even Miyako does "Midori". I expect in the future titles a bass solo part with an unknown scale until now...

I am hearing the normal Lovebites, but I do hear references to Rainbow's Gates Of Babylon here and there, descending lines, very reminiscent of Gates of Babylon, and I like it :) /Edit here, watching further, what you refer to as Nemophila is Rainbow's Gates Of Babylon lol to me. I am not into Nemophila, so not sure about your reference, but I am hearing Dio/Rainbow vibes here and there, way earlier

I do hope this will not change Lovebytes too much. It was a fragile. unique balance of styles of playing that gave us Holy War to Epilogue. Such a strong new influence could change the dynamics of the band a lot. Much is at stake here.

I'm kind of bummed everyone points out that Fami is a better bass player than Miho, and leaving it at that. Miho was also one of the band's best song writers and arguably, the band's soul. no offense to MIHO. she’s a great Bassist. But Fami is a level up in technicality and skills. I been following Fami since she just started playing Bass. she’s phenomenal. BOSS MAN LEVEL
