No, she's not naturally blue-eyed. She and Miyako often wear lenses. But her choice here was striking, was it not? I think it fit well. In a fashion-conscious culture like contemporary Japan where almost everyone has naturally brown or black eyes, I think it's normal that people take the chance to get some variety.

You will be able to verify this if you continue your journey into the World of LOVEBITES (since 2017, the band has recorded about 60 original songs and musical compositions + 3 covers of songs from other bands : HALESTORM ,HELLOWEEN, JUDAS PRIEST ). LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy metal! These Ladies play like GODDESSES , are dressed as GODDESSES of Ancient Greece (white dresses with gold), won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" ( 2018, London, UK).

After 50+ years of listening to metal, this song is my all-time favorite song by any band. And, this song has my favorite guitar solo section ever.

Even though lovebites are not as well known in the west, I think any band, not only Pantera, would struggle to go on after these ladies, they make great MVs but when on stage they're on another level. They are the No.1 metal band in all metal genre imo but I'm just a biased lovebitten old fool.🤘🎸🎤🎹🥁🐺

Lovebites is the real deal. World class musicians all around. Blue eyes are a rarity in japan. Pantera is'nt Pantera anymore without the brothers who's not among us anymore.

2019 Lovebites opened for Dragonforce (and also played together on stage), this band was much more of their speed

Enjoyed the reaction. No, Asami is either rocking contacts or her eyes are "digitally enhanced". Striking effect though. Who opens and who headlines depends on Box Office draw. I remember in the early '80s Metallica opening for Queensryche. Then, in '89, Queensryche opened for Metallica. So based on that, Lovebites would open for Pantera IF we still had the Abbott brothers. I don't know that Phil and Rex would have enough of a draw. I will say this: I feel sorry for any band that has to follow Lovebites on stage. On a related note, Miyako has referred to Darrell as a legend.

I'm in my 60's and I don't really know Pantera. But IMO LOVEBITES are too good to open for anyone. I'd be disappointed if I wasn't seeing them do a full headline show.

I’m 54 and think if I’m paying to see live 30 - 45 minutes of music for an opener compared to 90 - 120 minutes of music Lovebites catalog and showmanship is a much better show than what a current Pantera has to offer. Check out Winds of Transylvania by

Thank you for your great reaction. She wears lenses. Japanese originally have black eyes and hair, and almost 100% the five ladies too. Of course, a few people have 'pale' color (pigmentary or genetic problems), but basically, we have black. "Raven black" is an old praise word for Japanese ladies.

Great reaction. Regarding who should open for who. My reasoning for Pantera opening for Lovebites: 1. Pantera is not even a shell of who they were without Vinny and Dime (imho). Zack n Charlie are suitable replacements but lets be honest they are NOT V&D. 2. If I'm an event coordinator and familiar with Lovebites, no brainer to have them headline. Especially in the US since they never been. Their stuff is F electric and the anticipation buildup would be through the roof. 3. If I'm Pantera and watch a few Lovebites performances, no way I'd want them opening for me. Musicianship-wise, no F way. Suicide. 🤘

It's a great idea for Lovebites to open for Pantera! But I imagine that Pantera is a thrash metal band whose audience might not be fans of Lovebites' eclecticism. Nonetheless, both Lovebites and Pantera are excellent. I would definitely buy a ticket in advance. I also believe that Lovebites deserves their own stage due to their high level of professionalism. In the real world I'm sure Pantera would be at the top of the bill because they have been around so long and are much more 'known' than Lovebites. But, on a musical level Lovebites is pretty much superior to any Metal Band I've ever seen. Monster musicians on every instrument, and incredible song composition. And without Dimebag it's not even close. That said, if he was still with us I would LOVE to see a shred off between him and *Midori* (blond shredder) . . it would be something to See and Hear. 🤘🐺🤘

I wouldn't want to be a headliner and have to follow LoveBites at any concert in any city or country. To take the stage after they perform would be insane.

But logically, why would Pantera want to play to an empty hall…😂😂 (the girls are actually big fans of Pantera, so they’d defer, and I imagine the promotion would work better if Pantera were the headline act). But in my personal opinion, Lovebites shouldn’t open for anyone. And they themselves don’t have a support act.

Asami (singer) is wearing blue contacts for the video this is based on the hundreds of photos I have of these ladies (acquired from google image searches) and as for Pantera (for me at least) I honestly don’t know…they just aren’t the same without Vinny and dimebag and I’m not 100 percent sure but they don’t have any new material coming out (that I’m aware of) making them more like a nostalgia act coming back for one last time before riding off in to the sunset, but like I said the first time you asked this question considering the controversy over Pantera recently about racist comments made by members of the band… based on a promotional standpoint I think it’s not a good idea to have LOVEBITES open or vice versa because these ladies are Japanese and with everything going for them right now I’m sorry but it’s just not a good idea

It is very, very rare that Japanese has blue eyes. Asami has not. If a Japanese come from or have genes from Akita and Aomori from Northern Japan there is a very small chance to have natural blue eyes.

Unfortunately today's Pantera is just a tribute band to the original. No Dime, no Vinnie, no Pantera.

Pantera is better known and would be the draw, but Lovebites is the better band. This happens when bands get older and it becomes awkward when you have a better band as the opener. An example I had recently was the Sabaton/Epica US tour last year. Epica to me is the better band, but Sabaton was the draw. Both bands were amazing though, so I didn't care.

Newbies will be impressed by Lovebites, no doubt. 👍
