LOVE the band introduction at the beginning! Hahahaha! Too cute! They are so AWESOME. And they have come a LONG WAY since this! They are worldwide SUPERSTARS now!
2:50 Konban Halupii !!! Don't worry. You are at the right venue. Don't be fooled by her cute voice. Haruna is a beast when she starts beating those drums.
I am a relatively new (about 6 month) Lovebites fan and this video is awesome. Not only the cute introduction, but it shows how good they were at the beginning... they are unmatched today. These 5 ladies are truly incredible artists!
I think generally it was a success. A very new band, in a foreign country, on a very small stage playing songs that were unknown to the audience and obviously also a test of their viability outside Japan. They are very good players, with a very good album and with better promotion and touring they will have a deserved big success
I have to agree. You don't stick a band with one album on a headlining tour of stadiums, especially in a country that is just getting familiar with them. They need to grow a bit. This video is 8 months old and only has 17 thousand views. Most people outside of Japan have only recently found out about them. You aren't filling arenas with those numbers. Their talent is undeniable (Awakening the Abyss is an excellent album start to finish) and more material, or maybe doing an opening slot on a tour with a similar band might help them. Here in the United States seeing a band like Lovebites would blow a lot of people's minds--I know mine was blown when I first saw them!! I'd pay to see them as a headliner, but most people won't, yet!!!
@@overtheedge4711 Lovebites is awesome. I just discovered them on RU-vid two months ago and fell in love and then bought all their albums. I hope they keep growing in popularity and come to the USA. They did tour with DragonForce which helps.
So 3 of the 5 members can speak english, (obviously the singer can) it is a very good trait to have, so very few Japanese can speak English.. It probably has a lot to do with their success..
This is a killer band BUT this is not their venue. They are a large venue band and they need to have a better tour manager and crew. They need their own engineer, road crew with guitar tech, drum tech. AND a wall of Marshalls. THIS is a band that needs to make your ears bleed live. Power metal is louder than the audience. I know this was an early gig but lets hope they get a new management group and someone for god's sake put them in where they belong. 60 thousand to 100 thousand person festivals. none of this little stage shit. I read they are going to be at the German WACKEN Festival. Let's hope they get the main stage. THEY could become huge wit the right promotion and touring.
Buzzramjet .... Most Japanese metal bands don't use a wall of Marshalls. I do agree this band has the potential for Super star status. With the right promotion yes. It's possible. But Japanese politics make that impossible. I'm hoping this band is the exception.
FAST FORWARD to 2021! Covid is keeping them from touring the world... but they played some KILLER shows in Japan, and they kicked-out TWO badass concert blu-rays that are going around the world right now, making HISTORY! This band IS making huge waves RIGHT NOW! When they can tour around the world... it's gonna be GAME OVER !!!
not that you're wrong. but half of the night was debut songs, challenging to play, their 3rd?4th? show together ever, jetlag, no real support from lights etc, tiny stage (& I wonder about sound onstage), small crowd who also largely don't know the songs. and this happens to be the clip with the banter, in a foreign language. I'm gonna give em a pass; they're all seasoned pros, ill at least wait til a few of those items are no longer the case... Ha, I forgot high hells! (tho if that's an issue, it's their own fault. they do look nice tho...)
