This song is a machine gun, so tight and intense but executed perfectly and flawlessly by the five ladies there. It's so mind-blowing. It's safe to say that Japan save the metal music for younger generations to experience and enjoy. Thanks for the fun reaction guys. We can see clearly how much you appreciate the band and the music these ladies create 🤘🏼🤘🏼
It's a video that was just uploaded 9 hours ago, and I'm very happy to hear from you. The event was held at a larger venue to increase the distance between spectators as a countermeasure against COVID-19. The stage equipment has also become large-scale, and last year's electronic piano has changed to a grand piano, and Miyako seems to use a shoulder keyboard as well. After four days, it is expected to this video arrives. It's a sad event that Miho left the band, but the excitement is unstoppable.
LOVEBITES never cease to amaze! In MY opinion, they kick ever other metal bands ass! Each one of these ladies is a f***ing metal goddess. BUT Midori is my girl. She has my heart. 💚 Midori 𖤐 Rules!!!! 🤘🏻
LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics: The blue moon colors the blaze Stabbing myself with the thunder The predetermined imitation An emotionless and a fearless smile Flowing blood and crimson blade Devastated resolution Hear haze is waving far away Who’s going to be sacrificed? ON FIRE Just like a falling flower ON FIRE Until this body rots away Burning down to the Gates of Hell Distorted madness is sneering Incompetent, cowardly fools A pitiful and painful punishment It’s you who will be sacrificed ON FIRE Dressed in an armor of steel ON FIRE If I’m burned again and again I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell The blue moon colors blaze Stabbing myself with the thunder The predetermined imitation An emotionless and fearless smile Flowing blood and crimson blade Devastated resolution Hear haze is waving far away Who’s going to be sacrificed? ON FIRE Just like a falling flower ON FIRE Until this body rots away Burning down to the Gates of Hell ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
Love your enthusiasm! You act out how we feel about that music. Lovebites are a transformational band. Yes, the contrast among their personalities is a big part of what makes them special. And if you watch enough, you will actually see Miyako occasionally let the feelings show in her face. Enough to make your day.
I love you guys, the best reactors on RU-vid!! Lovebites is so awesome, the way they make the 80s sound so fresh and new. They will be HUGE!! I love the new stage look, so spectacular.
HARUNA!!! Only 4'9 but plays the kit like a giant. Her style is so much like Ingo Schwichtenberg's (RIP) who played with Helloween. That is the highest compliment I can give her.
These girls just keep getting better and better. About Miho leaving the band.... Like everyone else, I was sad when I heard the news. The band said they had many meetings with her trying to convince her to stay to no avail. She was determined to leave. We may never know why she left, and that's OK; her personal reasons are her business and not ours. I really don't think the band will have too much trouble getting a great bass player, even though it won't be Miho. Japan has a lot of great musicians right now, so I don't think they'll be on hiatus very long. Here's a fun thought to consider: As we know, Miho and Haruna are the ones who put Lovebites together. What if Miho decides to put another band together? We could end up with TWO great bands instead of just one. Wouldn't that be cool?
It would be cool but I don't see that happening at all, she has decided to take some time off to collect her thoughts and get over the hump that is troubling her. Thank you for mentioning that it is her decision and we must respect it. although, there are idiots who are pissed off and holding against her, but it matters nothing. Lovebites will continue on we must be patient
Welcome to the wolfpack. You now have come across one of the best guitar pairings ever. Haruna's double kick is amazing and Miho holds it all down. Lots of Maiden influence but also a big influence on them was Helloween. Addicted when Haruna and Miho comes in it is like a freight train.
And besides the Iron Maiden and Helloween influences, don't forget about the mid-80's Slayer and Metallica influences. Not to mention the fact that before Miho left the band there were the slightest hints of Bolt Thrower influences, which became more prevalent after Fami took over from Miho as the Bassist. Midori and Miyako on leads dueling each other is what it might have sounded like if Kerry King from Slayer and Kirk Hammett from Metallica had ever played on stage together. As far as the vocals from Asami, think a combination of Amy Lee from Evanescence and the female equivalent of Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden and Doro Pesch from Warlock and the singer (I honestly can't remember his name) from Iron Savior who ALSO was the vocalist for Helloween in their early days if memory serves correctly (but please correct me if I remember wrongly), as well as the blonde chick from Leaves Eyes, but with Asami adding her own personal singing style into the mix. Next you have have Miho (the ORIGINAL Bassist and Co-founder of Lovebites) who can play Bass as good as, if not BETTER than, MOST of the male Bassists from most of the so-called 'Metal' bands that have come around in the past couple decades. And then you have Haruna on drums, who in my opinion sounds a bit like Paul Bostaph as well as a bit like Dave Lombardo, and occasionally even a hint of the style of playing from Tim "The Missile" Yeung from the debut album from the Death Metal band Hate Eternal. All in all, my opinion not only sets the bar as to what Heavy Metal should sound like, but Lovebites ARE the bar. Just my own personal opinion anyway.
All their music to date is available on Amazon Prime. I blast their stuff all day at work. Not a bad song in bunch. (I did buy the CDs REPRESENT WOLFPACK!) Shadowmaker is the new theme song “Like shadows of he night, I carry all the pain inside to justify why I’m alive, Despite going through this hell, ‘Cause still my heart has hope, No matter if I’m torn apart, I’ll still play my part, Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart” Asami wrote some brutal lyrics on that one, if memory serves me correctly, Miho wrote lyrics for Hammer of Wrath, that one is brutal.
Lots of people say that Lovebites sounds like this band or that band. I think that they blend the elements of great metal bands that we appreciate in their songs. Sometime when you’re done with “Revolutionary Etude/ Swan Song” , then check out “Under the Red Sky”- that one has more of a Sabbath feel, by that comment I mean that song doesn’t follow a standard structure and has elements in it that aren’t common to metal like “Symptom of the Universe” when it breaks down.
when I was a teenager I listened to heavy/trash metal, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Helloween and many others. The musical beauty of Lovebites which is the result of the amalgamation of (compositions, arrangements, technicality, perfection and talent of each member, Assami's voice) surpasses all the metal bands I've listened to. This is my feeling. And to conclude for me it is the greatest metal band of all times not on the level of the career but on the level of the musical quality.
Another great fun reaction. Love the visuals you added. After the sad news of Miho leaving, this release picked us up. There is so much badass in this song and video. Asami nailed it and Midiori is queen of the power stance. You nailed it saying Lovebites are making old school metal sound modern. This whole Japanese scene has reinvigorated my love for heavy music. Thanks to RU-vid. Can't wait til you get to Nemophila and the other bands. You are in for a ride.
This band is a well oiled and totally in sync machine especially playing LIVE. Again each member comes together and contributes to the total performance that renders this flawless perfection as usual. TRUTH...50+ songs and there is NOT a dud among them. A filler....what is a filler? Lovebites has no idea and couldn't even do a filler song if their lives depended on it. When you chase flawless perfection in everything you do you simply can't be ordinary, no extraordinary is where they start and perfection is where this band always finishes!!!!!
The thing I love about miyako is there is songs where she actually smiles and that’s her hook “The strong silent type” but more likely to beat you to death with her Dean so you can’t help but watch her and wait for her to smile and when you see her it’s like heaven, Midori is my favourite though (I love them all equally though) and they are very humble and interactive with fans on social media I have had a few interactions with Midori myself so I can attest to that anyway another great reaction guys…oh I should mention this song is one of 7 songs never played live before and is just 1 of their hidden gems.🤘🐺👉🇨🇦
Watch the very end of this clip. Miyako melt me like a vanilla ice cream under the sun with her heavenly smile. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kUwEC2OEmDY.html
The release of this DVD will be a poignant reminder of Miho. It is a great that she was there for five years and her input will be sadly missed. What a show this must of been. Thank you for your reaction.
Next songs Raise Some Hell, Scream For Me (crazy solo's from them) MV When Destinies Align(long battle solo's), Glory To The World, Winds Of Transylvania... :)
When bruce dickinson & kirk hammet & kerry king & steve harris & lars ulrich playing music together .. and that is what you hearing right now.. 🤘🤘🤘🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩 amazing sound and kick ass🤘🤘🤘
This song is so fvcking brutal!! And they can kick many as5!!😁 I think this song could be the soundtrack big action movie. Like James bond or mission impossible. Set the world on fire!!🔥 How cool that's name song!! Hope you enjoy with your journey to Lovebites. Wolfpack keep on lovebitten🤘
They do some far different stuff. BTW Asami studied ballet so a lot of her arm movements will remind you of a ballerina. Far from thrash will be Edge of the World, Epilogue, Empty Daydream, and Dancing with the Devil. They are multistylists.
Ok! 🔥! Continue your journey with “Awakening/Hammer of Wrath, Scream for Me , Raise some Hell “, from Zepp DiverCity Tokyo! Would leave the link if I could, but the Wolfpack will 🤘
COVID is currently out of control here in Japan and is also hitting very hard on musicians. Lovebites had to cancel all their shows after February 2020, and when they booked shows for January this year, they got cancelled again and finally, they managed to perform 3 shows this March, with restrictions to the audience (no shouting/singing, seat distancing, masks etc.). The bassist Miho has left the band now and the band itself is in "Hiatus". With an uncertain future and not being able to tour or even hold shows locally, it must be frustrating, depressing, and also hitting them hard financially.
The band Burning Witches is another all female band from Switzerland. Burning Witches and Love Bites are on top of the world right now. React to Burning Witches Hexenhammer!
I trust you will have a look at Band-Maid. If you like magic bass playing, you will love Misa, the barefoot bass assasin. They are not really metal, but 5 petit Japanese girls that play hard rock. A good one to start with would be 'Play' (official live video). Usually, anyone that loves Lovebites. loves Band-Maid.
@@brewtalityfilmsllc4871 yes when you know the whole Lovebites discography it's hard to establish a ranking in the preference of the titles. First of all it's according to the heavy, power, thrash metal style you like. But all their different tracks whatever the style are great. So if you have to rank them from 1 to 10 their whole discography (about 50 tracks) would be in there. Because all the tracks have their own personality and are as good as the others.
