I swear if people say this song is an anthem when its an etude by an amazing composer back in the day being revolutionized with a swan song I am gonna lose it. I love what Miyako (guitarist pianist) did she is an amazing young lady to create such a beautiful story with the melody basing the farewell and grief then drawing the soul out with a relentless barrage of the bridge and rifts telling a strong conversation. I cried I'll admit truly a beautiful masterful high risk piece by the girls. I sure hope Love Bites sets the start for new groups to follow up and in suit. Remarkable piece ineffable beyond words.
@@dicodec I think I have listened to the song about 15 times recently and call me crazy but I could have sworn Miss Miyako was also doing bits of the etude even on the guitar between the bridges or rifts before a solo that even Hiruna being on the drum also sounded like there was a couple nitches of it too. One of my favorite songs and for being a pianist guitarist inspired in my youth Miyako won me over it, the band is so fiercely attacking that its ineffable to describe without sounding underrating them.
1 thing that is often missed in this video is Asami's movement, she studied ballet and was in the play Swan Lake where most of her movements comes from which adds a lot to the theatrical of this song
Thank you so much. Before Lovebites I've never heard such a powerful and beautiful song. And their lyrics are important. It's a part of their works. They are geniuses. 👍😊
My second favorite band that just happens to call Japan home. Many seemed awed that there are so many really great musicians coming from Nippon. I say this is what you get when music is taught in school. The west should try it sometime but we are awful busy pumping out dummies in our schools. You do not teach people what to think. You teach people how to think. The future of rock and metal are in very good hands.
@@thedocofrock1890 Hello my good friend. I was banned for life from this platform for observations l made about the political situation here in the states. Anyway six months later l get an email from RU-vid and they say after further review l did not cross the line. And they reinstated my account. I have six months of mostly Band-Maid related posts on Facebook. Glad to be back. BTW I have tickets to a concert here in Sacramento this August. The Tubes and the Smithereens. Hope all has been good with you and yours. Glad to be back. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.
@@sacluvsBM wow those youtube overseers are tough ! i used to make a lame attempt at political comment and or humor. had a comment or 2 they wouldn't post so now i'm sticking to music. i kept looking at all the MAID comments for you. now i get it. welcome home son
I think it's kind of funny that Miyako seems so serious during her performances on stage. However when you see the behind the scenes documentary for this concert & see her just completely relieved that it's finished & saying that she was a bundle of nerves until she got through the piano solo, it makes sense because from that point on, she was coasting in her mind from there. That really gives you an idea of what kind & level of musician that she is.
@@ChadTheDragonLord She has an awesome owl and a vanilla boa and a dog that looks just like a temple lion dog guardian. She is very loving. I think she has been trained to keep the symphony stage presence. I think she envies Midori a bit her metal stage presence. I love seeing Miyako just as she is.
@@maxmaidiac2237 Yes, I have seen her dog and the owl when I watched some videos on her channel. I'm not sure if she envies Midori or not, but the two pair so well together and I know they both realize that. She has said she hopes their pairing becomes legendary in the world of rock music. If they stay together they surely will.
@@ChadTheDragonLord I have seen some reactors criticize Miyako for not doing the power stances and not moving around as much. I 100% disagree with those weird wannabees. I love Miyako's stage presence. Yes for sure the band is a living legend and I hope none of them listen to any detractors. I especially hate the dress deniers ha ha. I don't usually care for fashion and only in Rock and Metal concerts do I get a great boost to see performers go all in on creating a full on experience. Bucket list for me to see them and Band-Maid.
I don´t have any more adjectives to describe the grandeur of this band. one often overlooked aspect, that sets them apart from other bands is their outstanding songwriting. your reactionvideo was great. thank you.
If only she could clone herself and have two Miyakos. Then they could ditch the backing tracks to these songs and have her play everything live! Such a talented young lady! I am so glad you guys got back to doing Lovebites. I was just about to tell you it had been awhile. Perfect timing. Great reaction as always. That's why I subscribe.
Oh, what a start! Classics are classics! The triumph of music in the world is undeniable! The ending is also in the subject. And the middle part, so directly pleasure for the soul. Thank you, dear ones! It's just a pity that there is no translation into Russian.
Re. Swan Song: Miyako, who composes a lot of their music, was headed for a career as a professional classical pianist. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and we now see the result. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude. All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent, a true savant.
Jedi-level musician is pretty on point with her since she is a massive nerd and loves Star-Wars. In her music room she has R2D2 and BB8 on top of her mini-grand piano. Her dog is named Wampa. She wasnt too fond of the stage piano since it was more of a Keyboard in an empty box with plastic Keys, while her own is the real deal with wooden keys. What's not to love about her ❤
@@dicodec About the same story with Kanami who was sitting at the piano at age three and receiving formal lessons at age five. Kanami picked up the guitar in high school just to be "cool" with her classmates. Mission accomplished.
LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics: If this was the last day you could live on this earth World you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
Bravo Dicodec , great reaction , Lovebites Amazing Female , Classic , thrash , speed , Power metal band , other level of musicians , Amazing Miyako , greetings from Chile , God bless you .
Nice job guys. Don't know if you did their songs: Scream for me- live studio, Break the wall, Burden of time - live studio, Edge of the world. Yes Miyako does piano, keys backing tracks. Miho, Midori, Asami also can play piano. There's interviews where it's said. Edge of the world is truly epic song. And Burden of time, live studio. Miyako plays guitar in left hand and piano with right at same time. And Scream for me, the back and forth guitar solos are amazing. Scream for me, Burden of time are in their studio re recorded back in October, so the ladies in everyday clothes, not in white is really awesome.
Tks guys! Finally, "no time to hesitate": you reopened the Pandora's box to "raise some hell"! Just keep on reacting to their musical magic - and even if you pick a next song randomly, you will always end up choosing wisely. 🤘💥 (even though you could continue with "Rising"...just saying 😁)
I'm with you, dear ones! I am glad to meet you and this interesting composition. The construction of the song is excellent. Classical music and metal combined perfectly! Thanks for the great reaction, guys!
@@dicodec Oh man, for some reason I thought you'd done Edge of the World already. If you want to see Lovebites cover four or five styles of rock and metal all in one almost prog-metal song, with some incredible vocals and inspirational lyrics (turn the captions on), you need to see the Edge of the World video.
Fun fact: Miyako said (on her youtube channel) that she was actually not at all comfortable on this digital piano (yes, despite the appearance of a grand piano, it is actually a Roland digital piano). Imagine on a real Steinway!
Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what's in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God's heaven.. Their lyrics/songwriting skills are awesome.. Frozen Serenade is another beautiful song from Lovebites, it's progressive song with accoustic guitar solo
If you like piano, try "Rising" live Zapp Diver City 2020 version. It's got an incredible switch from guitar to piano and back to guitar again, and switch of rhythm. And try "Empty Daydream" live Daughters of Dawn 2019 version, it's got a magnificent piano intro.
I agree 100 %. my favourite of them. starts groovy, has keyboards and spanish guitars, cascading guitars galore, beautiful melodies and a fantastic guitar vortex at the final. although I love dennis video, I would choose the original audio to be not distracted from the music.
They Play in「RIDE FOR VENGEANCE TOUR 2021(japan)」 Played A FROZEN SERENADE is beautiful、Painful and Dramatic and Tokyo Live is planning to DVD/Blu-ray It’ll be a surprise for you! My English Poor sorry!
@@yoshinasato thank you, nakasato-san. your english is very good. sorry, that I don´t speek japanese. greetings from germany and congratulations for so many excellent musicians.
@@CaffeineNightOwl Thank you, in live spanish guitar part Midori・・・SpanishGuitar Miyako・・・Piano Asami・・・Ballet Dance Like A musical Stage.Very beautiful!
Great enthusiasm from you both. Swan Song must be so difficult to perform live and keep perfect time with the backing, synchronising the guitars, Asami keeping on pitch and Haruna not tempted to play the faster bit louder and the slower parts quieter. I wonder they can perform this live at all and is a testament to their musicianship and discipline.
Another song I suggest, is Frozen Seranade, there is no music video yet, but it's on YT. You guys may love this song. A breakdown with piano and flamenco guitar, is so beautiful. It's not a speed metal song. It's more in lines of Nightwish, Evergrey. Your reactions are so good. You give out insight on the music, and are entertaining. Love Eric's banging faces, and Allen's emotion.
LOVEBITES Bio - Haruna:- CUTEST (AtomicDoll)- A Mighty thunderous unstoppable FORCE OF NATURE !! Miho :- PRETTIEST(Bossman)-POWERS & Strengths that will hold & lift the band High !! Midori :- SEXIEST(Bombshell)-RIFFS and Chops that melts ur face & Smiles that Kills !! Asami :- LOVELIEST ( Ballerina ) - FLOATS like a butterfly, sings like a Nightingale !! Miyako :- HEARTBREAKER ( IceQueen ) -MELODIES that will rip-out ur Heart and Soul !!
Я с вами, дорогие! Я радуюсь встрече с вами и этой интересной композиции. Построение песни отличное. Классическая музыка и метал сочетались великолепно! Спасибо за отличную реакцию, парни!
Good reaction as always. Guys, you really need to check out Hanabie. Yes, yet another Japanese all female metal band. But they're a bit different. I suggest this song: We love sweets.
Check out "Burden of Time" live studio version. Not only the song is great, with a little southern rock feel. Miyako plays the keyboard and guitar AT THE SAME TIME!!! Yes , only few bars but JESUS.
You can tell when a song in the album is written by Miyako, it is harder to classify them into metal genres as they are more like compositions. Usually they even have an oberture. I think I would get bored if the full album was written like this, and I love when Mao and Miho visits the classic metal on the songs that they write, but to have one or two of songs like this one in an album it's surely a delightful present. She mentioned that she tried to incorporate bits from Chopin for this song, no surprise she decided to put the Revolutionary Etude in the setlist for the show just before. If you check Dystopia Symphony from the last EP she has tried to capture Beethoven in that one. btw Miyako es mi esposa, you are not allowed to simp her. 💕
Bear in mind that the Revolutionary Etude at the start, was written by Chopin in 1831. Miyako wrote the song around it, including all the piano parts and at the finish. Another fun fact, that white Roland grand piano is a digital one. Not an acoustic.

So far, all of the reactions you have done to LoveBites have been more on their side of power metal. You need to see when they go harder, as in THRASH. Next videos should be either Thunder Vengeance (which was the opening song for this show at Zep DiverCity), or Break the Wall, which is also from this show. You will note be disappointed.
@@dicodec Oh, and almost forgot, The Awakening / Hammer of Wrath, also from this show! any of those will make you want to give up guitar and study theoretical physics!
