It's called sweep picking and it's a very difficult technique to master. As a guitarist, I've been doing them for almost a decade and I'm nowhere near these ladies. All of their techniques are excellent and very clean.
A 14-solo Shredfest ! This clip was from the studio LIVE which they performed back in October 2020 to celebrate the third anniversary of the release of their debut album "Awakening from Abyss", and they played every song on that LP in this show (plus a bonus cover of Helloween's "Eagle Fly Free"). This was streamed LIVE from the studio because the band couldn't tour by virtue of COVID.

This song was originally composed for A Drop of Joker (2013-2016) the band Miyako was in prior to being in Lovebites. Liar was the other A Drop of Joker song.

Their music is rich with beautiful and very active melodies that are always ascending. That is what makes music endearing---not speed or loudness. (ABBA and Brian Wilson come to mind.)
This song rocks and an awesome ending!! 🤘🐺🔥The technique is sweep picking for sure, a way to play several notes in a row really fast as you sweep your pick across the strings. A lot of people will do it up and down, the circular technique as seen in the video is also a popular way to do it!
I am not a guitar player, but I believe the technique is called sweep picking, but I could be wrong. Now you owe it to yourself to go and watch the live in concert version of this song, it is way more fun. I’ll put the link in the reply.

I know there are those who will disagree with me, but I like the live version from 'Daughters Of The Dawn, 2019'. Asami, "OK Haruna, give me the beat !". Whichever one you choose though, this is an amazing demonstration by Midori and Miyako of their guitar skills.

@@lawrencegambrell4293 took the words out of my mouth. saw the ALLMANS in the summer of '71 while the original lineup was still intact. dicky and duane were spot on in that performance. it was the southern rock and blues sound as opposed to LOVEBITES but their dual harmonies were sent from above.
Your next Lovebites song to react to should be "Inspire". It's from this same Live from the Studio. This was a Livestream concert that they did around the time of the Pandemic. The entire concert is awesome!!

Your viewers have answered your "sweep picking" question but there's a live video where Midori and Miyako harmonize while sweep picking. I can't recall which song it is but maybe the Wolfpack can remind me? It's pretty impressive if you ask me. Oh, and you should check out "Burden of Time" from this same show for a special treat.
Sorry - forgot to mention not only does she play guitar and keys at the same time but she also sings on this track - although disappointingly she's only playing guitar when she sings not keys as well ! 😉🤣

Did you notice the difference? Miyako in the left ear and Midori right. That’s how they originally recorded „Awakening from Abyss“. They actually had changed sites in late 2018, but made an exception for this recording …
