Fun reaction, as always, but honestly, your focus on people jumping around is a little over the top. I could not care less. I actually like the contrast between Midori's extroversion and Miyako's introversion. It also comes out in their playing. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the speed demon; Miyako has the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets rich and dynamic. They are both top-tier shredders when they want to be. Miyako can stand still the whole time but you can still see the intensity in her face, and that's enough for me. Oh--she is also a concert-level classical pianist-she only picked up guitar when she was 18. Hope you see some of their clips with her shredding the piano.

I couldn't stop it was too good!!!!! The tag line for every LIVE Lovebites song!!! Nice one David, and Miho/bass is a true metal-head (Iron Maiden devotee) who looks like a bobble-head doll during most of the concerts. The M & M show here is a clinic in trading off back and forth done flawlessly LIVE no less. I knew this one with Asami vocals and the M & M show shine time with the backbone of Miho/bass and the pocket nuke Haruna/drums driving this would get a smile out of you. WOW it made it on David's Gym list, now that is an accomplishment!!! Midori and Miyako are different from personalities, playing style and tones and harmonics but they blend together so perfectly it is amazing. New LP drops on 3/10 so we will see what the ladies have to offer in it.

Hardest working ladies in Metal, they have 4 live DVDs in just 4 years. Battle In The East (2018), Daughters Of The Dawn (2019), Five Of A Kind (2020) and Awaken Again - Live From The Abyss (2020)...Have them all, and what glory it brings. Glory Glory to LOVEBITES and every member of The Wolf Pack.

And that ending is only a small part of why we love these ladies.

Hey David, another great video! The trading solos at the end always leaves my jaw on the floor! Love the way the song starts with the drum kicks into the bassline and the guitars then join them. I love everything about Asami, from the way she sings, to her movements on stage, the interaction with the crowd, just like you said she's a stage General! And the funny thing is she comes from an R&B background, there is a video of her performing in a club before Lovebites even existed and watching that and then these clips you can really see how well she adapted, how well she took the role of being the frontwoman for a metal band! Two suggestions - "The Crusade" Live from the same show as this, from the start you can see Miyako is into the song right away as she headbangs throughout the whole intro and later on you can even see her smile! Miyako was trained unlike the others as a concert pianist and taught discipline and focus on her music so she focuses more onstage but off stage she's more smiley and open.

This song has been up since it was posted in September. I know because I kept playing it several times a week. For whatever reason this one hasn't gotten as many reactions and has only recently taken off a bit.

Again, watching your videos and listening your opinions let me apreciate LOVEBITES more and more. Thank you :)

It's a bit rare doing off-beat open high hats (disco?) in metal and hard rock. Haruna (the drummer ) kept on switching high hat and bass pedals back and forth brilliantly.

One thing I love about Japanese rock and metal bands is how they treat the bass player. I love to be able to hear those funky bass lines.

Hi David ! About Midori's tripping, it could be a disaster, remember Midori is carrying a heavy guitar on her small body and she is in a pair of skinny heels. She could've broken one of her ankles or even both. Imagine if it happens to you with skinny heels.

FINALLY. Someone reacts to my absolute favorite Lovebites song, and live version of that song. Glad the cameras caught the moment Asami moved away and Midori almost fell backwards, and Asami turns around still singing, and you can hear a bit of a laugh when she looked back and saw what almost happened saying, "My bad" of sorts.

Hi Dave. Just a quick question. If anyone knows, either you, or one of your viewers will. At 16:23, Midori reaches up the neck and pinches/twists the strings to change the pitch. Have you or anyone else here, seen any other guitarist do that? Or is that an innovation of hers. In all my 63 years, of listening/seeing a lot of bands, I've never seen it. Would really be interested to know.

A band like Lovebites has everything to win from allowing reactors to post their stuff, since the more people who see their stuff the larger their audience and potential record buyers. I guess it's their management or something...idiotic!

I know it has been mentioned that the decided role of Miyako was to be more reserved. That is more by choice. If you watch her when she played in Sonic Lover, she is much more animated (and looks really good in black latex). So she can be much more active, and often some of her power poses are missed due to her long dress, but it's just her part of the show. I like Midori and I like Miyako and I love their personalities. And I have NO problems with Miyako standing still. She is playing like a goddess and look gorgeous standing still. If you look closely you see her concentrating and totally being one with her music. Some says she looks bored. Nope, it is a combination of her being concentrated and being a bit introvert.

I have a theory feeling that the "guitarist on stage right" (Miyako) is rocking much more often when she holds that monsterous looking guitar. Not sure why - but I really feel that this absolutely un-feminine over-the-top design of this guitar for some reason adds some vibes that she doesnt feel when she plays other guitars. Just a guess.
