Bass, drums and guitar riffs are very crisp, tight and enjoyable. This main riffs sticks and I love its return after the guitar solo section. The Icing on the cake is Asami's vocals. Such a beautiful song.

He has been providing support to LOVEBITES and other groups in occasional collaborating on music compositions and arrangements. Some have called him "LOVEBITES' 6th member" though when considering his instrument is keyboards and LOVEBITES is distinctly a 'guitar band' I suggest that he is credited disproportionately (+) to the band members due to not being an official member, any contribution is credited. For example, Midori & Miyako write their own solos and collaborate together on the harmony duets but they are not credited for that. I believe Haruna 'writes' her own elaborate drum arrangements, but is not specifically credited for that. Also all members are credited for all songs' arrangements whether Mao is involved or not. 🐺
I would call this battle metal. Love the thundering riff, and Asami fits the singing into the music perfectly, and Haruna going to town on those drums. I like part at the brief breakdown where it sounded like they were channeling Iron Maiden for a second there, I pictured Steve Harris in my mind. The solos were harmonized like Unchained was, I was hoping for an independent solo, but it was still an awesome section of the song. This song is a banger! 🤘🐺🤘
I loved Soul Defender! It lacked Midori and Miyako's individual solos. But I think it's a strategy to reach the audience that prefers shorter songs. What do you think?

This song is a power/speed/thrash metal song with metalcore vibe. After listening and digesting these two songs, I think Lovebites is targeting American listeners particularly metalheads that are picky and have limited taste of music. 🐺🤘
