The Chopin piece performed by Miyako (guitar/keyboard) as the intro is "Etude OP10, No12", known as "Revolution Etude" In 1831, an uprising of some officers and civilians against the Polish government under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, dubbed the "November Revolution", failed due to the direct intervention of Russian forces. Chopin is informed of this news during his travels. he lost his place to return to. When the Russian army invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agents released "Etude OP10, No.12" in Paris. People called it a "revolutionary etude" because of the agent's exaggerated promotion of the song. Miyako composed "SwanSong" with reference to this "revolutionary etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony". Former ballerina Asami (vocals) wrote a poem inspired by Norse mythology and "Swan Lake" based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude".　For their 2021 live, they cut Chopin's intro and changed it to a rendition that focuses on Asami's "Swan Lake" choreography. "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim fatherland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES can complete. This band has no peer. They are the phenomena of our age. I believe the music industry is afraid of them because they are real and not a corporate fake. All their songs are superior quality like this one because they write their own music. They are true professionals. No fake or weak throw away songs. They formed in 2016, I've been listening to them since. It never gets old or boring. I had the same feeling as you even though I've heard this song many, many times. I had forgotten how much fun it is to watch reactors' faces the first time they see/hear Lovebites. It takes me back to when I first heard 'Shaodoemaker' in the fall of 2017. Been a massively dedicated fan ever since. We should all be grateful that we live in the tme of Lovebites.

Lovebites are awesome and its criminal that they aren't better known outside of Japan and Europe. I seriously doubt there has ever been another rock band with collectively more talent than Lovebites. Also, they're all smoking hot.

LOVEBITES is a unique musical experience. All lyrics are English. Through their current catalog of 50 original songs many hear influences from Classical (Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Dvorak, Beethoven) to Classic Metal (Helloween, Priest, Maiden, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Deep Purple, Dio, Pantera, Crüe, Anthrax, etc.) though all in a manner of "original yet familiar". Miyako is that outstanding pianist/guitarist/songwriter/singer..Asami vocals also plays piano, has an entire story on her own, Midori is the no equal Shredder on the other guitar..Haruna is the drum Queen machine back there smiling and Miho on bass.. She actually just recently left the band..Lovebites to announce her replacement at any moment..Miho shoes will be difficult to fill..

Wow is right. This is a special band with five special members. Miyako is the pianist/guitarist. She composes most of their music. They have almost 50 songs released to date. They go from soft ballads to heavy thrash metal and everything in between. Now do Holy War live.

She taught herself to play the guitar at 18, no lessons. LoveBites main genre is 80's style power/thrash metal. For a treat, watch "Burden of Time" live studio version. Watch Miyako closely, when she goes to the keyboard, make sure to watch both her hands!!! Today you saw her play Chopin (Show-pan) as a opener. In "Empty Daydream" she opens with Rachmaninoff. As you can see, the invasion of the channel has begun. Fans of Lovebites are some of the few for which the abbreviation is actually true. We are fanatics. Why? Because even in Japan, with so many excellent musicians and bands, Lovebites are relatively unknown. We, the “Wolfpack” feel it an obligation, a duty, to spread their talent as widely as possible and ceaselessly. I’m 62 years old. The band appeared in the RU-vid sidebar after I’d watched a Nightwish reaction…a band I’d raved about when they first got going, and saw live, and was in the process of catching up with after a long break. I had stopped listening to music altogether. After all, who, seriously, would listen to the abject dross that music executives pass off as music nowadays. Certainly not me. I digress. In the sidebar were what appeared to be several ballerinas, or theatrical performers, all drop dead gorgeous. So, being male I thought I’d take a peek. Now I honestly don’t remember what song it was, it was either Empty Daydream or Holy War. It may even have been Swansong. What followed is absolutely true. The song began and i immediately realised that I was listening to some ridiculously talented musicians. That’s 10 seconds in. 20 seconds in I’m already in love with the lead singer because she’s singing rock the way it was sung when I was getting my thorough grounding in rock and metal. 30 seconds and (remember, this is absolutely true) my brain processed the following. I have a new favourite band. I want to hear everything they’ve ever done. I want to own everything they’ve ever done. I must see them live. Now. From that day in December 2020 I confess to having become a Lovebites junkie. I now own everything (except a very rare DVD/BluRay) and I don’t listen to any other music, save the odd reaction of a youngster discovering bands like Deep Purple etc and them being insanely jealous of my generation. This is the best rock band ever to grace a stage This is the most talented band of any genre to ever grace a stage This is the most beautiful group of women in rock… and by beautiful I don’t just mean how they look. They are a breath of fresh air. Positive lyrics, (virtually) no doom and gloom and every performance played with beaming smiles and genuine affection for the crowd, reflected on social media and in interviews. Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. You chose one of their masterpieces to start with. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. I got bitten a little over 11 months ago, so am still a young wolf and member of the loyal WOLFPACK although am in my early 70's. I seriously love this band and the feelings they give to me. I have heard all their music, including prior to becoming the band we have now, Lovebites. This group of super talented and dedicated musicians are very special and rare to find. "Swan Song" was by Miyako, piano/guitar, with the lyrics written by Asami, vocals. All have written songs but Miyako has written about half of their songs with Asami doing the lyrics. Miyako began piano at 3 yo, at 17/18 she decided she wanted play the guitar. She got a "How To" book and a guitar and learned, no lessons!!

A bit of a warning. Entering the Japanese hardrock, metal, punkscene can change Your life. This is just one of all amazing bands from Japan. I blame Babymetal for changing my musiclistening 5 years ago and now I listen to 99% to Japanese music. Bloodywood, Arka'n, is a few examples from the rest of the world I listen to and of course fun bands like Electric Callboy and Nanowar of Steel that makes me smile. Boring western metal is over for me. But living in Sweden and trying to get music from japan is a hard task.

I recommend you two master pieces of these girls check it out and you will see the song "Epilogue" is a work of art and the song "A frozen serenade" is a metal fairy tale

These Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful, versatile and proficient musicians. Some people say that they’re redefining metal. Others say that they’re angels that came to planet earth in order to save metal. Miyako is a concert level pianist and also an outstanding guitar player. Asami took ballet classes and she used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Some people say that it’s almost a crime that there’s so much talent in one band. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, Helloween, Angra, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. They really shine in their live performances. They play hard/speed/power/heavy metal. You’ve just scratched the tip of the iceberg; their catalog is about 50 songs and practically no fillers. For a heavy sound, I recommend “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”; for a softer side, I suggest “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “A Frozen serenade”. I was about to comment who she is but the Wolf Pack already let you know who Miyako is. She is quiet and reserved but extremely talented! Lovebites is the best! Beyond talented these ladies are. Miyako (virtuoso and piano and guitar) and Midori are the best guitar duo going today, if not ever. Haruna the drummer is an absolute beast. This was a great reaction video, I can relate to the young ladies' emotions in her eyes. The first time I heard lovebites I had to find my brain I was so blown away. I play bass mostly but also acoustic guitar and electric guitar as well as sing Every time I hear their music it blows me away, and it's been over 2 years since I saw them on Rocked RU-vid channel.
