I may be reading into it too much, but maybe his “friends” are his insecurities and what’s plaguing him mentally. Each verse refers to these, and it’s either his way of coping with loneliness, or he has schizophrenia. The jolliness of the song is a way to juxtapose the severity of his mental state. Or it’s merely about him making some pretty dope friends and loving them. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Holy shit... I guess these guys won't be a one hit wonder after all. When I saw this come up on my phone I thought to myself, there's no way this is going to top 'Broken' . But I must say, I am blown the hell away. Their energy, the instrumental finesse, the vocals, the meaning in the words... Such a happy beautiful song that really makes me want to jam out.

Saw these guys live the last time i had a nice outing with the mother of my daughter. My friends have been there every step of the way through our break up. So this song makes me so emotional for a couple reasons. When they play it at work i have to try my hardest not to fucking cry.
