I just read a Rolling Stone article and I thought it was funny how Reno described the Grunge fashion of the early 90's: As I once said on MTV, Nirvana killed our career,” Loverboy frontman Mike Reno tells Rolling Stone. “You just looked at the charts, and it was all negative lyrics - and people dressed up like they’re lumberjacks. The Seattle grunge thing just took over everything.”
The tragic thing is us older folk have to accept this for our musical hit because we can't relate to todays "music". If you're drunk and or stoned and squint your eyes and ears , it works.
All are original members except for the bass player. The original bass player was sailing his boat in 2000 when he got lost at sea and was never found.
If you're going to be an aging rock star and get on a stage, why not take care of yourself??? Being overweight is a bitch and if you have the money for a healthy diet, personal trainer, and dietician, maybe just maybe you should spend the money.
I read in a 2011 interview that he lost 50 lbs at a pace of 3 lbs a week. He did this because he was always getting tired and his sore knees were bothering him. 'I feel lighter on stage. I'm dancing around like the old days'.
I struggle with weight as well - yes health issues are magnified when overweight - hope Mike can get on some type of program - he is a great guy and would hate to see him leave all too early.
@@larrybenson902 My thoughts exactly. I wrecked my knee five years ago, got really heavy, bordering on obese. It wasn't easy getting back to being fit, that's for sure, but the payoff (healthier life) is more than worth it.
