Steve is a true old school hands on Semi Truck driver doing specialized high end loads of Constructiion equipment and Emergency fire apparatus equipment there is a lot of strategic planning that goes into these movements that he does this is not entry level hook & drop light duty Cartage trucking this is big boy get down & dirty Man’s type of H D trucking Steve is the last of the old school culture hard working gear jamming old style Cabover truck driving Son of a guns I love his videos because I use to do this type of trucking before I got sidelined on disability so please don’t rip on this Man’s videos you are witnessing the changeing of the gaurd in trucking history the way he does his work will never be like this again in trucking culture ThankYou Steve for bringing us along for the epitome of what you do

You need to get a fridge and cooking gear for the truck. All interstate trucks in Australia prefer to cook and eat their own food, along healthier than roadhouse food. There are some good 12v truckies groups on Facebook with good meals. Some even have their meals cooked at home and packed in Chinese containers to reheat.

@FSC Trucking The flags at Samsung are more than likely there due to their site using ammonium hydroxide for semiconductor manufacturing . If there’s a leak, the ammonia will form a fatal cloud you can’t easily spot, so the flags will help you get up-wind during emergencies. I work in logistics for a chemical plant that supplies Samsung with amm. Hydroxide and we have air socks all over the place in case of a leak. Enjoying the uploads as always!

I like the night drives I used too pull up to jobsites in the dark raining snowing didn't know we're or who to talk to but it all worked out no guts no glory most people have no idea what the working man goes through just too make a decent living.

We alway cover the exhaust. It prevents the turbo from spinning and avoids water intrusion. The only engine that comes close to sounding like a 3406 Cat is a KTA Cummins @ 1150 cubic inches. I drove one long haul for years. We still have the truck on the farm at 4 mpg we don`t use it much.

So I am only a viewer but from another trucking channel, it was discussed by others that covering exhaust has NO effect on turbo since there’s no place for the air to go thus it can’t spin. It does however prevent excess rain and and floating items like bugs or birds or trash from getting in.

Oh how I loved running SC from the Midwest. I loved running the Gorge on 40. In 2020 I had a chance to run it again when I was awarded custody of my niece. I hit it eastbound at 3 am and blew through it in my car doing about 65. Then picked up my niece and headed back. Westbound my wife was going nuts as I was going through freaking out at the curves. I'm like no big deal.

Hello Steve. Orwell running good. Been working OTR last few weeks, hard to keep up sometimes with the videos. I was looking on my phone for pictures of a Ford CL 9000, I thought that was the truck that I was looking for when I ran across a video of your CL9000 before you moved it . I just thought it was neat. I could hear you in the background so I knew I had the right truck!!

Agreed parking stinks. One of my I'm pissed at the world says I talked to a manger. I said all that left is paid spots and there is like 20 dropped trailers. Understand some might be in shop. But finding parking is hard and now I got to pay to park. He said most of them trailers have a deal to drop them as relay trailers... So they get paid for paid spots and none paid spots. Which I think is nuts...

That is a "PAIN IN THE ASS" when you're trying to find a parking spot and the truck stop is full of cars holding a spot for these local drivers 😡🤬 They need to put a stop to that because they're going home and NOT spending money at the truck stop

Nice that Samsung can make appliances here and the parking lot is full early in the morning. And a Japanese Co, Komatsu, can build onto their heavy equip factory here. They seem to like the South. Bring back manufacturing to the USA.

Speaking of the Carolinas, just came across a guy named Kyle Kelliher from out that way on YT working a 1985 Freightliner cab over with a 350 Big Block Cummins, 10 speed (I think) with 3.36 rears. He hasn't posted in a few months, hoping he will but it's nice seeing a younger guy working older rigs and making it pay.

Have you picked up at Komatsu before? I did not see the loader show you the serial number did he show you that before? Did you secure the actuating (middle part) with a chain or just rely on using the red transport bar? Good pn you for taping the exhaust so the turbo won't spin. The Komatsu has a Cummins engine / joined ventured with Komatsu.

They use to do it here, all the time, before a bunch of rude A-holes started driving. I could tell you a 2 hour bed time story about how much trucks and truck drivers have changed in the last 2 decades and some of the stuff they do but you would have nightmares.

hey Steve: have you seen the article / pictures of guy hauling 30 million dollar helicopter stuck under a bridge in Louisiana?? looks like either a USAF or Marine HH-53.
