After opening Zucchero 'Sugar' Fornaciari's show at the RCF Campovolo Arena in Reggio Emilia in June, Lovesick were once again invited by him to Sicily. Not to open a single concert, but four consecutive ones: the first stage was held on July 27 at the Teatro Valle dei Templi in Agrigento and the subsequent ones on the evenings of July 28, 29 and 30 at the Greek Theater in Syracuse.
Lovesick found the doors wide open by Zucchero's crew and his musicians. In addition, a great response and warmth from the audience who applauded and sang, and who were able to enjoy, in preview, their original songs that will make up the forthcoming new album, recently recorded in Los Angeles.
Now, back from the four concerts, all closed with a predictable sold out where they performed in front of tens of thousands of people, Lovesick reveal the incredible anecdote of the sudden 'black out' on stage, already anticipated on their social pages:
«The first concert in Syracuse was crazy but with many unexpected events. Electricity failed almost two hours after the start of the concert, not only in the Greek Theater, but in a large part of the town.
A small emergency generator powered the security lights and little else and, while all the production staff tried to promptly resolve the situation, we were invited to take the stage with our instruments and our voice miked by a guitar amplifier Fender Deville. That's it!
We played for over 40 minutes with a full arena audience who, although at low volume, warmly participated singing and clapping to our original songs. With 'You and I' (love song that will be released on the new album), the theater lit up thanks to the torches of the many telephones in the audience, how exciting!!!» and again: «Having reached the last piece, the emergency was now resolved and the Zucchero concert was able to begin.
It was truly gratifying to gather the enthusiasm of the production technicians and the musicians of the band who thanked us for having completed the show, even with such little amplification, in an emergency situation. We felt like family and also part of something important!».

Lovesick e Zucchero ancora una volta, anzi quattro.
Dopo aver aperto lo show di Zucchero ‘Sugar’ Fornaciari all’Arena RCF Campovolo di Reggio Emilia nel mese di giugno, i Lovesick sono stati nuovamente da lui invitati in Sicilia. Non per aprire un solo concerto, bensì quattro consecutivi: la prima tappa si è tenuta il 27 luglio al Teatro Valle dei Templi di Agrigento e le successive nelle serate del 28, 29 e 30 luglio al Teatro Greco di Siracusa.
I Lovesick hanno trovato le porte spalancate da parte della crew di Zucchero e dai suoi musicisti. Inoltre, un grande riscontro e calore da parte del pubblico che ha applaudito e cantato, e che ha potuto godere, in anteprima, delle loro canzoni originali che andranno a comporre il nuovo album di prossima pubblicazione, recentemente registrato a Los Angeles.
Ora, tornati dai quattro concerti, tutti chiusi con un prevedibile sold out dove si sono esibiti davanti a decine di migliaia di persone, i Lovesick rivelano l’incredibile aneddoto dell’improvviso ‘black out’ sul palco, già anticipato sulle loro pagine social:
«Il primo concerto a Siracusa è stato pazzesco ma con tanti imprevisti. L’energia elettrica è venuta a mancare a quasi due ore dall’inizio del concerto, non solo nel Teatro Greco, ma in buona parte del paese.
Un piccolo generatore d’emergenza ha alimentato le luci di sicurezza e poco altro e, mentre tutto lo staff della produzione cercava di risolvere prontamente la situazione, siamo stati invitati a salire sul palco con i nostri strumenti e la voce microfonata da un amplificatore per chitarra Fender Deville. That’s it!
Abbiamo suonato per oltre 40 minuti con l’arena a pieno pubblico che, anche se a basso volume, ha partecipato calorosamente cantando e applaudendo i nostri brani originali. Con ‘You and I’ (canzone d’amore che uscirà nel nuovo disco), il teatro si è illuminato grazie alle torce dei tantissimi telefoni del pubblico, che emozione!!!» e ancora: «Arrivati all’ultimo brano, l’emergenza era ormai risolta e il concerto di Zucchero ha potuto avere inizio.
È stato veramente appagante raccogliere l’entusiasmo dei tecnici della produzione e i musicisti della band che ci hanno ringraziato per aver portato a termine lo show, pur con così poca amplificazione, in una situazione di emergenza. Ci siamo sentiti in famiglia e pure parte di qualcosa di importante!».
