They just changed the contents of this box. If you check on their website, you’ll see they removed the spoon and bib and added another toy. My friend received this one and then emailed them once they changed it and they sent her the new toy. I recommend you do the same - they toy looks great and her son loves it 👌🏽
Personally, I feel if the box "breaks even" then it's worth getting. 1. You know it's good quality materials being used and you never know the quality of random Amazon companies. 2. The research is already done for you along with the booklets to explain said research. 3. Convenience factor.
I agree if a box breaks even the boxes are still worth it! The best part of the 5-6 box is that they actually updated it to include the Spinning Rainbow toy. That toy is quite expensive to find anywhere else. The current 5-6 month box is worth more than the one I received.
Glad the reviews are helping! I want to make sure other parents are able to make a good decision before they buy something. We all know raising a child isn’t cheap 😅
Had a very similar experience with this box, even the updated version! I was very excited for the magic tissue box but my daughter too was not interested in it at all-she prefers the real tissue boxes around our home instead 😅
really enjoy your videos, its nice to see a daddy reviewing baby items since majority are usually mommies. do you have a room tour video? looks like you have a floor bed type of set up.
I had an old video of our nursery setup, but that's very outdated. We've actually been looking into getting a floor bed for my son, but currently he still sleeps in a crib in our room.
I’m rewatching some of your videos as I receive the kits for my kid but I’m sad because it appears that the current boxes have fewer items. If the boxes simply contained different items that might be ok but fewer items makes it seem like not as good of a value especially when I signed up for the first year. Thank you always for your detailed videos!
Oddly that seems to be the trend they’re heading. But I’m happy to say that at least for her 5-6 box I think the changes are for the better. The spinning rainbow is usually a hit with most babies. If most boxes changed it so that the items were at least equal or more value than the removed items it would probably make most parents feel better.
@@kevin-lu I agree, I think most of the changes are for the better because the new items are larger more complex items. Lovevery used to have a lot of "trinkets" in their boxes which they have removed in favor of better items. I do think they want to add more value to their play kits because many parents only buy the Lovevey boxes and no additional toys which is a good thing because children focus better with less toys. The box that had value taken away is the Pioneer kit for toddlers 16-18 months. I hope that Lovevery fixes this box by adding back the nesting felt baskets or some similar nesting item perhaps in the sturdy fabric as the 7-8 month treasure basket. I hope they add back the Toddler Kickball and Throw ball in a outdoor fabric that is stain proof and waterproof. I hope they add back the awesome Farm Book, Things I Can Do book, and Colorful Foods book. Every kit including the babies needs to have 1 or more books. I wish they would retire the Bea Gets a Checkup book or provide options to swap in a different book. Doctors are a questionable theme given there is so much sexual abuse with these kinds of authority figures. I'm not teaching my kids to gove away their power to doctors. Also, I wish that Lovevery would edit their Car Ramp into a compact single track racer similar to the $30 Everearth Jr Ramp Racer on Amazon but in higher quality and natural wood tone. I would love a high quality option of the Everearth racer done by Lovevery, incorporating similar colors to the pegboard!
So they took out the stuff for the parent, the bib, and the spoon. Not gonna lie, I feel very jipped by this box. For $80 I expected more. Oh. And they only have one set of socks. Not even the ribbon socks, but like little bell socks that are a dime a dozen

Thanks Kevin, love the videos. It was really helpful for me evaluating whether to skip the Senser kit or not. I already have the Lovevery gym and it comes with the Montessori-ball. The Senser kit comes with an additional Montessori-ball that I don't need. I got the rattle socks that Kevin was showing on the video and my son loves them very much. I think he would be a little bored with the ones in the play kit. Unfortunately, Lovevery can't substitute items in the box at this time but maybe in the future for parents who already have the play gym. I will be skipping the Senser box and trying to find some of those items on Amazon

Thank you for the review! I was googling the reviews for 5-6 months Loveevery kit, and here I come across the video where you talk about your baby Alistair - my son is Alistair too!!! I’m not convinced about this kit. Seems that toys like that work better for older babies.
Your son is the only other Alistair I’ve heard of! The Lovevery 5-6 month does take a bit more to master versus some of the other boxes. Generally the boxes have some items that are harder to grasp the concept. I believe my son didn't learn how to play with everything until about 7ish month. However it seems currently that they added the spinning rainbow which I didn't receive. I think that is much better for younger babies as well as older.

Thank you! I'll try to get more video of my son playing with the toys in the future, but it's gotten a bit harder as he gets easily distracted and goes for my camera when I take it out 😂

They did update this box, and I think for the better. The Spinning Rainbow is a great toy, much rather have that versus the bib and spoon. The coupons where a nice gesture though.
That's honestly a good equivalent considering babies this age are discovering the concept of ripping paper. Would need more supervision during play time, but arguably a more enriching experience!
Well my baby is using a normal pampers natural wipe box and I put baby washcloths inside instead, she just like throwing the box for now…. Lovevery seems nice however the country I live in they don’t ship too so I have to improvise
