From week one on the first weigh in I didn’t think it would pay much over the time and effort put in by Andy . What an amazing guy he is with his never ending enthusiasm for prospecting for gold . Over this last month he has never ever shown any despondency with low counts of gold .. well done Andy you are gold prospecting hero 👍

Andy is so right about how the *HUNT* for gold or any other treasure can become more satisfying than the gold or treasure itself. Yes, it's great to find stuff, but the thrill is in the hunt, and that's what keeps *me* going 😁🌟

As backwards as it sounds, this is one of my favourite series because it didn't pan out (chuckle). It wasn't dressed up to make it look like a million dollar claim. It was about the hunt and the discovery and being happy with the season even if the result was less than expecting. Obviously everybody would have been much happier if you pulled a kg of gold out but seeing the real process and results is good too.

Dan and Andy, Never leave gold to find gold! Test area better, refine strip ratio, more overburden, less pay gravel that pays better if possible? Loved the videos!!!! Andy is becoming a great Miner! Definitely a yardage per hour game, but only good yardage!

This channel, this series and you Dan Hurd have been one of the most interesting learning experience I ever had with gold and I can only think what Andy feels about this last few weeks. I can say I made my own wash plant and perfected my panning skills to find sand grain size gold out here in holmcom valley California. I just wish I could find bigger gold not the best of picking areas. But yes you Dan Hurd are the best keeping it simple and straightforward.

You should be squirting some jet dry (for dishwashers) in your wash bucket to eliminate the surface tension on the water. That way the tiniest of dust gold won't float away and out on the ground. It good insurance for getting ALL the gold! Good luck!!

This Trout creek series and collaboration with Andy has been fun to watch. Thank you Dan! Q: In week 3 or 4, there was a 1/8+ piece found in the nugget trap, and 1 found in the sluice. Since 1/2 the big gold was making it at least to the nugget trap, any concerns the little plant was blowing some significant gold out? Why wasn't this potential loss explored more, especially since your own sluice mat tests shown something has to be seriously wrong for gold to make it out, right?
