😂 Here's my low cost backyard: Go to shed. Retrieve Christmas lights. Tack up on back of house. Dig hole. Put leftover scrap lumber inside. Hose down lumber with lighter fluid. Throw in match. Invite 20 best friends over. Make fish tacos and margaritas with fresh limes. You have the best backyard they've ever seen. You are a legend.
you probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown :)
I live in Arizona, you know home of no greenery. We have winds between 20 to 30mph sometimes. Is like to see some landscaping ideas that are low cost but sturdy, and wind and high temperature resistant. Loved some of the ideas in this video.
your dry river bed draining from the downspout, will add big rocks, do a drainage bed to the cedar tree, make a oriental bridge across & drain from the water barrel when it is full, love your ideas & inspired even more to do it from seeing this.
Love your ideas and videos!!! With people being home more than ever these days, your videos help us and teach us all how to create outdoor living spaces that don't just raise our property values, they become our sanctuaries. As a Realtor for over 20 years, this is huge!!! And as a homeowner, your videos help people get creative and use their imagination to create an outdoor sanctuary that suits their budget. Just know that you will be my go to when I need an expert for landscaping design, etc. for myself, people I know, and my clients. THANK YOU for your videos and your resources! --Juliann
@@BackyardDesignGuy So deserving and you are so welcome! Have you ever considered building privacy screens and other beautiful/functional backyard products and selling them? You have the following...just sayin'
I have a small backyard, it is actually the side of the house but is used as a backyard. Since it is the side of the house, you can see it from the street. Your videos offer such wonderful ideas and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing.
I've just moved into a new build and the garden is a blank canvas. It's a big project and I have a few ideas but I'm on a budget so doing it all myself. I really like the water feature, and privacy screens, also the gravel patio as that is what I'm doing. Thank you, I will definitely checking out your ideas again 😀👍🏻
So grateful for your inspiring ideas and the many options for small backyard. Your videos introduced us more options we never considered. It would be awesome to see how your design would help us maximize our small backyard space. Thank you!
Hi Gennette Diggs, we would love to help. Feel free to reach out here paradiserestored.com/contact-us/ I will send over our process video and pricing brochure and then we can schedule a zoom meeting if it seems like a good fit for you.
I really liked the outdoor movie theater and the fire pit ideas. I would like some ideas about ways to set up outdoor cooking and seating layouts for the backyard barbecues. Thank you so much for these awesome ideas for outdoor space use! I appreciate the inspiration and the confidence you instilled in getting it done.😊
I like the combination of gravel and large pavers or flagstone. I garden for pollinators and other wildlife, and I try to improve the environment by doing as many sustainable things as I can in an urban townhouse, so it's important to me to maintain permeability so the water can seep into the ground, rather than run off. Thank you for all of these images, they were very inspiring!
Fantastic ideas for making your garden space a more enjoyable place to be in The fire pits and seating area is something we are considering for our garden, just need to factor in the Scottish weather!
My favourite idea is the concrete sitting bench with the wooden slats and the metal fire pit (03:12). Definitely a DIY option which won`t leave you bankrupt.
Would love to have a few step by step videos of DIY backyard items (a basic wooden pergola with retractable screen, an easy water feature made out of plant pots or a metal tub, how to install artificial grass, etc)
Thank you somuch for the video, it inspired me the most with outstanding backyard ideas. this video is full of options and i loved each and every idea in it. Thanks
Thank you for this inspiring comment! It makes me want to work even harder to get better and help as many as possible have the backyard of their dreams. Have the best day!
Loved the large, round copper fire bowl at 3:08 with all the smores fixings... marshmallow's on a stick, Hershey bars and graham crackers set in a wooded area. Beautiful!! 😁👍
My project this year was collecting medicinal plants that are native to my area and including it in my gardens. I was even able to snag a Goji berry bush.
Thanks M! There are some back down the road - let me see if I can connect you - our portfolio is easy to maneuver in: Our portfolio: paradiserestored.com/portfolio/
Loved the clay pot water feature and the metal screens. I didn’t see a price listed in the description. Can you list it here? Thanks for all of the great tips! 🏘🌻😎
These ideas can be implemented on any budget. We're already clearing an area on our property for the firepit, thank you so much for the video, it certainly gave us a few ideas.
WHAT? Glad you liked it! You must realize - we sincerely try to appease & please our viewers . . . you in one sentence massaged our "How'd We Do" stats - Thanks Jimmye! Like the way your name is spelled - BTW - cool
I want to congratulate you for giving me, by publishing your ideas, much knowledge if how modern Garden Architecture accommodates patios, fire places and water features nowadays. Its about what I had had in my mind to work out and I feel that my plans are very much enriched by your videos. I have only watched a couple of your videos so I can not say much on your ideas in other parts of a garden design although I have been very keen to the idea that in a considerable small backyard its better not to make paths that form a straight line in order to get the visitors eye to want to wonder to see of what's hidden besides the curves and therefore to make him/her get further into the garden and also when I attempted to do myself, in a DIY manner, my small yards design and gardening planting I wanted to put a feature to give a sence in some parts of the end of the paths as for the visitor not to realise the approximate side of the yard, falsely thinking that it is more extended beyond the feature put at the end. Keep up the good job, mate. I would very much like if you could put a comment with your points on this.
The ideas you presented that were my favorite was the outdoor projector, lighting (I’m an Edison light type person), the decorative privacy walls, and the dry lake beds. We just bought new outdoor furniture and I am restoring two bistro tables, two chairs and a side table, and plus we are revamping our landscaping as we have a lot of over grown scrubs and plants. Thank you so much my friend for sharing your wonderful ideas to beautify my backyard. Your expertise and ideas have been very helpful to me. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️.
Yes... with every string light display, I kept trying to focus on how the lights were strung in a budget video but kept getting distracted by the tens of thousands of dollars of backyard landscaping and furniture they were displayed across.. That’s not gonna look that way in my yard! Nope! Lol!
@@libertyjayne yep! I’m working with some budget cost plants (really budget costs this year) bcz I had some other expenses... but also I have always tried my best to harvest seeds from the plants from the prior year and start as many for free early on! Anybody check out the price of DIRT this year, though! Dang! It’s a BAG OF DIRT! 🤦🏻♀️ If it’s not one thing, it will be another!
5:58 That kid watching a movie while in the pool = plush existence. Love it. Edit: Also, this is my first video with you, and you seem like a genuinely caring guy. Appreciating you.
NEW SUBBIE AND WHAT STOOD OUT FOR ME WAS THE PRIVACY SCREENS & THE MOVIE PROJECTOR. I'VE JUST INVESTED IN BACKYARD FURNITURE WITH A FIRE PIT 🔥. I ADDED SOME OUTDOOR SOLAR WALL/FENCE LIGHTS & WALL ART & FLAMELESS HURRICANE LANTERNS. MY NEXT INVESTMENT IS TO GET A MOVIE PROJECTOR, I LOVE SPENDING TIME IN OUR BACKYARD. GREAT 👍VIDEO.
Love watching your video special the outdoor light that you can just hang them anywhere we did this in our backyard with a large gazebo and it's so beautiful doing the summertime and holidays
Great ideas on the privacy screens! We’ve been trying to find a way to shield the backyard and fire pit from high winds in the area without completely blocking the view through the fence.
I like many of these ideas. I have several living spaces in my back yard, including a DIY firepit in one with string lights. My water feature fell apart from the weather. So, I'll have to revisit that. I have a rustic theme going at the house and love the dry creek bed and meandering water feature. But, I'm not up for the engineering and upkeep on those. I also have the movie screen set up against the house near the fire pit area. That is actually pretty cool and have a second location in the driveway so we can invite neighbors over to watch as the walk by. The mobile projector and sound gear help with the mobility of the gear. Privacy screening is a big thing for me now as is shade. I hadn't thought of incorporating a living space in the front yet. But, I'll definitely see what I can do once the driveway/walkway are redone.
I enjoy watching your ideas. I am in the planning stage redesign my backyard, but I have to keep in mind about pets, and ultities lines. the low cost was helpful, thanks
I like the gravel and the river rocks and it gave me some ideas about drainage. I have a nature area about 50 x 60 and it’s raised up anywhere from a half foot to 3 foot on two sides and the front part of it which runs along the sidewalk has a landscaping block retaining wall so on one side I’m having trouble with runoff and I’m working on tackling that problem. Thank you new to the channel and really love this video
Loved it thank you moving from California back to Illinois next year and you're gonna give me good ideas for a house..so I can have a better type patio then Midwest usual does and thank you for the privacy Wood ideas!
