I created a FREE Checklist to easily identify and fix phase issues step-by-step, just like I show you in this video. Download here: 5piecemusic.com/phase-issues-checklist-opt-in/
Definitely - this one is a bit dense but SUPER important. Big shoutout to Xpress AKA DJ XP who produced both of the tracks I used in this video - he definitely knows what he's doing. You can find links to those tracks in the description (although one is still in progress and won't be out for a few weeks/months so I'll have to update that upon its release)
@@xaronwhite5376working on a soft clipping video funny enough but to answer your question….both potentially 👀 very slight soft clip on a 2-track if it’s peaking (although you can manually create headroom like I showed you in my previous video). You can also apply a soft clipper to the master, especially in series with a limiter, to preserve headroom and ultimately drive up the level. More on this coming soon when I get this video together but hopefully this helps in the short term 🙏🏼
All options under the sun my friend! Currently editing a clipping-focused video right now which should be out in about 2 weeks or less, so that will help provide some answers on applying it to individual tracks, groups and masters ✅ BUT to give an answer here in the short term, I will absolutely clip individual sounds (transient dense ones specifically) and potentially groups and masters as well strategically. Individual sounds can be better to clip due to intermodulation that takes place during the clipping process and the harmonics it produces, which can at times negatively affect a group of multiple sounds (including masters) but I don't let that deter me from clipping groups or masters either if it sounds good. Really you just gotta pay attention and make sure what you're doing isn't too much! Hope this helps.
