I deliver some parts from www.armsplant.... to Olivers and get an update on my 3170. I also have a good look round a selection of ex airport snow clearance JCB Fastrac 3185 and 3170's.
Brings back a memory or two that 3185. I used to drive one back in 2006 carting sludge. It was the first video l uploaded to RU-vid when l started my channel in October 2006. All my videos are now private so no longer public after YT banned me. Great tractor's and good fun too. A bit of a pig to hitch onto trailers or machines because of the poor visibility out the back. Top stuff George!
Nice video my friend ❤❤❤♥ A very creative idea ❤❤❤❤ I look forward to seeing your designs. Congratulations on your journey forward 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Just give me an old Fastrac 185 ... 😊 or a wee perkins powered Tranter 🤔 great for nippin to the shops 😂. Your fastrac is going to put smiles on yer face once you get her back.. it will all be worth it.. stay safe 🏴
Hello George that last 3185 just needs abit of tlc and would look tidy and yours will sounds beautiful when done with the new head and exhaust manifold that Cummins engine will purr once again I can’t wait 👍👍
George the 5th wheel job be handy for some man drawing bales with attic trailer. Salt n Fert a disaster on machinery. Be a great buy for someone. Keep up da great vids. 👍👍
9:19 won’t be CBs, they would have been on the airband channel so they can communicate with airport ground control, it’ll be a big reason why they are missing. Thanks for the reply earlier about the Cummins engine, i’m a big fan of the 6BT, my favourite truck, a Leyland Daf 45-150 Turbo had a 6BT under the cab, back in the days before limiters, mine would do 90 ! (Mph not Kph) Early of a Saturday morning i would blast down the M6/M1 from Birmingham to Croydon cutting through central London after a week of night trunking having saved my fuel money all week by not exceeding 56mph which would give me enough left to dash back so i could get home before 4am & still have a Saturday to enjoy after a 8 hour sleep. The rest of the week i never got home much before 6am. My old 1996 Leyland didn’t have cruise control so i had a throttle stick that was cut just right that it would hold the speed around 56, crazy days.
Nice One George good your fastrac progressing I mite be showing how thick I am but wood the 5th wheel take a standard artic trailer ? Have a good week Thanks again
Hi Darren, yes they were just standard fifth wheels so would take an artic trailer, although there was very little overhang available so they would only realistically take a trailer with a pin right at the front 👍
@@GeorgeSaunders Thanks For the Reply have seen similar things advertised in the past and wondered if that wood work for haulage with out having a trailer specially made Thanks Again
They Dont use Salt on Airfields,They only use Hot De icer Liquid that is Not Corrosive. If They Used Road Salt All the Aircraft Would be Scrap and Falling out of the sky on your House. I Worked on a RAF Base for 8 Years,Mechanic for Last 14 years.
My thoughts exactly on the salt. Think they often have snow plough and brush combinations. Never use salt as that'd wreck the aircraft. They use chemicals to reduce the freezing temperature of the water.
I don't know much about fastrac's but i don't reckon there's going to be much change out of 10k for repairing your's allthough he should be a gooden once he's done.
Sods law that when you were in the market for a fastrac George these low hr machines were not for sale 😢 the price of your repairs bill is worrying me and its not even my tractor George 😂
Ur old mate Jb. Back out working with a 20 year old leyland. He s gone into horses. Didn’t know weather to laugh or cry pitty the poor bugger driving that
That tractors fine for the work its going to do. I think with the cost of new and second hand machines its worth keeping a older machine running. Old tractor will do pritty much the dame as a new one.
