I spent a year in this town and I have been to 40 provinces in Philippines. I made a video, which is like my Love Letter to this super lovely town. Duma was a place I love to hate. But I revisited 3 times. I met lots of rude women here. I also met so many fake people who always gossip behind your back. But I am not perfect... So i just forgive. Most peopld have great sense of humor. Also Dumaguete has lot of handsome guys in Tanjay and pretty girls from Bais.
Thank you for this feedback. I think, people like this, (fake, rude, gossiper) are everywhere. I do agree that we are not perfect. No one is perfect. But we can always decide what & how to react on sh*tty things that happen to us. It hurts, coz we are a FEELING beings. We have emotions. Yet we can also be wise, as we are a THINKING beings. We do have Brains. Afterall, Dumaguete is a still a nice place to live in.
it's a story city, couples edith tiempo and edilberto though boring writers i never read their stories must have written about dumaguete. the bacong belfry seen from decks of arriving and departing boats seem to hold stories to write. and at evenings the lights of the gunpowder factory makes bacong like a fictitious town. bacong town whose people's visayan accent are siquohodnon, have long conurbated with dumaguete city in order not to be alone. the bus companies locals call "particulars" in looc going to bais and as far as guihulngan are long defunct. there was once a beggar that climbs departing buses to sing AROUND THE with incorrect lyrics and hard pronunciations entertains more than her singing and opens a bag for some coins in exchange for her bad singing. the trisikels with drivers that ask first where you are going before they allow you to board instead of boarding passengers first before asking where you are going, is a way of thinking patented to dumaguete city. but at the back of valencia where where it mists as early as 4 in the afternoon is best thing about dumaguete next to silliman.
