@@robinr22 indeed most people won't, but for me specifically it matters. For example when finger drumming, I've noticed latencies of 5ms and even less... It becomes more apparent when dealing with percussive sounds that you want to record on the fly and unquantized. On the other hand, playing pads and chords on a keyboard would be much more permissive about latencies.

I could see these being useful for iPad music production where you have very limited I/O and typical Bluetooth headphones import a ton of latency. Otherwise I’m way more into simple low tech wired headphones. Seinheiser HD600 are too good
@benjiwill

The irony in this situation is you still need a physical headphone input to run in low latency mode, so with iOS products without an input (which I think is all / most now?) you’d still need an audio interface or USB C or lightening adapter hub/dongle. I’d be so keen on some legit wireless low latency headphones that you could jam out beats on iOS on the go! :))

We developed the sound design specifically for music creation and production, whether you make beats on your phone or in the studio. They feature our S05MKII speaker unit, engineered with a 40mm diaphragm made from stiff bio-cellulose for more defined high-frequency details, more pronounced mid-range, better dynamics, and more natural tonality. The soft over-ear Alcantara cushions provide a spacious, open sound with low isolation.

honestly I love these. I've gotten used to them quickly to translate bass into my car or a club somewhere. There is a bit of a trick to get the "hiss" down since the headphones have their own volume independent of your interface. Once you have that nailed they're super clear

This is brand new tech over their old low-latency BT headband (which I own). That used bluetooth + the Apt-X HD low latency encoding. These are 2.4Ghz wireless iirc, so should be much better than what you've experienced before. There are a lot of wireless systems for guitarists, to eliminate the cable between your guitar and the amp, and I imagine the latency is pretty low because playing guitar with lag is awful (I've done it, by accident.) A lot of pros use them onstage. I wonder if AiAiAi is using the same tech?
@hughkremer4026
@hughkremer4026 2 года назад
Yes, many use 2.4. My XVive, which are fantastic, get about 6 ms latency, which is undetectable , and is equivalent to being about 6 ft away from the source acoustically. I wonder why these are more. It might be because they’re dealing with the full frequency rather than limited guitar frequency. 16 seconds should be very good, i.e. standing 16 feet away from the source, as long as there isn’t much latency prior to that. My Presonus Quantum is about as low as it gets for an audio interface, around 7 ms round trip at 128 buffer. So add the AIAIAI 16 seconds to the 7. I can’t stand wired headphones, especially when tracking guitar, having both of those tethers, getting all tangled up, so I hope these do the trick.
@MrCosmicVictory
@MrCosmicVictory 2 года назад
supposedly each update of bluetooth is making them lower latency. we'll get there eventually bluetooth or wireless. they should just make a headphones-out wireless-adapter to a headphones-in wireless-adapter. would be compatible with everything, and more convenient

Hey Sim, i played bass with them on! (side note, i SUCK at playing anything intricate) I didn't really notice anything out of the ordinary. I'd say another thing to help, which i'm sure you're already aware of, is to direct monitor. This has helped me a ton since i monitor THROUGH ableton to add effects. But that adds even more latency instead of listening directly from the interface. Hope that helps

@@RickyTinez Wow. Can I ask you to elaborate on direct monitoring? How can you record the audio and bypass Ableton?
@tuftyindigo
@tuftyindigo 2 года назад
@@DespairQuietlyPlease \most audio interfaces can send their inputs straight to the output as well as to the computer, so you can listen to the direct sound with no latency while also hearing whatever you've already tracked (with some latency) and recording what you're playing in (also with some latency).
