Beautiful Z06. Love that Blade Silver color. Don't understand why anyone would even consider lowering anything on the C6 Corvette. My 2012 Grand Sport front spoiler bumper was only 3" above ground. Way to low. Drags ground overs slight dips. Forget about driving over speed bump or else you will drag bottom. Rims look awesome!
This is why I’m changing my zo6 wheels on my C7. I was at a car show last week I saw C5 C6 and Chev Impala with those wheels . I’m not mad just want to be different….and I like the one that on it before
I could use my Shock socket and put some air on that. This is simple . This is exactly how I wanted to do a c6 same wheels , different color. Grand sport
Make sure you get an updated alignment. The Phadt street alignment is really good. Better handling and better on tires. Also on their website has a track alignment, but track alignment is not good for street.
@@troypatillo1688 Should drive fairly straight, but will need alignment to check TOE, Caster/Camber as these settings will be affected anytime you lower/raise a vehicle
Black wheels would have popped even more with the silver. I have black C6 ZR1wheels on my Midnight Race Blue C6 427 vert, and they really make the car.
Taylor the Zo6 looks amazing, I just purchase a 2008 silver Zo6 and would like to get the same rims, could you post he exact size of tires and bolt pattern I think its 4.75 mm, also any one out there selling a set I would be interested will pay for shipping also. Thank you, Kalani
I have a silver c6 zo6 and was wanting to go with same wheels and was wandering if you had any fitment problems and are you running same tire sizes that the c7 came with and was wandering if the tire pressure sensors were off a c7 and did they work with c6 platform ?
My LeMans Blue car came with a set of black C7 ZO6 wheels. I didn't like black wheels on a blue car, so I replaced them with 2010 chrome ZR1 wheels. Looks way better, 19in front, 20in rears...
Rims look fantastic but you'd be better off putting coilovers on it. You get a lowered car and save weight by getting rid of the struts and leaf springs.
I definitely like the C7 Z06 wheels better. For me, lowering the car so that the curvature of the wheels and the curvature of the fenders is off looks terrible. I want the same distance between the tire and the fender to be the same all the way around (top and sides). Yours looks okay, but if you lowered it anymore, I would think it was dog ugly.
What kind of track car are you planning to build? A strip car or road course? It looks nice. But your use is going to dictate the wheels that will perform best.
CJ Drives it will be more of a road course oriented car. I have always enjoyed road course driving more. I'm sure it will see the drag strip a few times as well.
Taylor Smith Nice. Use the car for what it was made to do! Alot of the road course drivers go for a 18” wheel all around. I have 18x12 rears and 18x11’s front. 335 and 315 Toyo’s 18x13 and 18x11 are very popular 335 or 345 rears. and 315 fronts. Of course, it depends on if you want to stay in a particular rule class though. The only down side to the c7 wheels that I’ve heard is they crack. You should research it and keep an eye on them.
@@isiahgomez6860 So what you are saying is its ok to bolt C7 Z06 wheels on C6 Z06, but its not ok to put C7 style head lights? So by your way of thinking nothing from a C7 should be put on a C6? So if he likes the look of those wheels on his car, then he should've just bought a C7? Please help me understand....
lynn thacks we talking about headlights dude... those headlights were made for the c7 sharp front end look while the c6 is a wide front end look. I wouldn’t put any c7 parts on a c6 because it looks weird period. Wheels are ugly on that car too
@@isiahgomez6860 Morimoto headlights were designed for the C6 and they look better than the factory headlights in my opinion as due the wheels that he just put on that car. Its called customizing. Chip Foose has been doing it for decades. If you like your cars bone stock that's you, but you cant tell someone else what to do with their car. Aftermarket parts are available for a reason.
buys car without test driving...first drive in car does second gear power ons, in the rain....not yet insured!! jacks up the car one corner at a time...yikes!!!! lowers car on one side of jack stand edge in middle of composite leaf spring surface...eek. just destroyed the ride quality, what little it had in his car, by lowering it(stiffening it) and lower profile tires. discusses tire gap to front wheel arch looking same, not realizing the rim he put on is an inch taller. I think he raised his car....LOL I hope he doesn't do the heads and cam upgrade himself....otherwise very nice car, nearly as nice as my black 07, picked up with 28k miles on it last year. These are just fabulous cars. In all fairness...the C7 Z06 wheels do look better and more modern than originals even on the C6. Hmmm. I wouldn't go with the 335 rear 20" tires though; rare - only 2 brands make it, super expensive & not really necessary.
