@ARES not liking their content is different to them being shit. I guess you're one of those guys who only resignates with street shit. Which leads me to wonder why you're on Lowkeys vid.
The Industry needs lowkey cozy he sickest on the Internet There was 2pac Shakur Marshall matters aka Eminem & Now Lowkey #talkaboutlyricalinvinsibililty jeez ! Still the biggest threat This is why grime need sum 1 like lowkey U can't touch him.
@Tom 1592009 He was brought up in England, England is his home, Iraq is his heritage, hence his heart's there too, meaning he cares about the people there and what happens to the country. The marketing dream bit I assume is him saying he's not in it for the mainstream.
chocobonita the Islamic militants are just there to defend themselves foreign policy from the us and uk who are there for the oil gives em no choice but to fight back, Pakistan’s not at war and there aren’t as many Murders there as there are in Afghanistan cuz there’s not a war. They’re all people and just want to stop being killed for oil.
chocobonita I’m Muslim and what you’re saying bro is actually truthful. But it’s not the whole truth. Yes all those things such as a global Caliphate, everyone being Muslim and Islam being the only true religion are all expressed and wanted in Islam. But it’s not supposed to be attained through the killing of innocents and the compulsion of hostages etc. All religions go through trends and right now a SMALL PERCENTAGE of Muslims are interpreting the texts through an extremist lens due to Western Imperialism. Just like the Crusades or any Catholic/Protestant war etc. Your point about Buddhism I agree with though, it is a peaceful religion that preaches unity. However, just to prove my point about trends, read up on what happened to the Rohingya Muslims in Burma. It’s not to smear all Buddhists because only a minority committed these heinous acts just like only a minority agree with the Islamist narrative.
@chocobonita Firstly, my parents moved to the west from the Middle East before I was born because they were caught in the middle of a brutal war. They didn't leave because they hate their country, I don't know where you pulled that from but most people, like them, left because they had to for safety. They don't hate their country, and they don't hate this country too. Nothing is black and white like that, and I think that line from Low-key is actually relatable to a lot of people. My heart is in the Middle East because it is the land of my ancestors, but that doesn't mean I hate where I live, and why should it? On your second point, there are violent people from each religion or ideology. In the Quran it states that to "kill one innocent person is as though you have killed all of humanity." But there are still extremists militias who exploit the religion in order to commit violent acts. This is true for every religion. You mention Buddhism, it is a peaceful religion, but that doesn't mean that it's not exploited too. There have been many massacres committed by Buddhist extremists, even though ultimately it is too a peaceful religion. People with bad intentions often exploit religion as a tool to gain influence within their community, this is evident with pedo priests in Christianity today too. Whether or not Buddhism or Islam ruled in Afghanistan or Pakistan it would not mean the region would be peaceful, as the wars exploit religion as a means of influence but they're actually about gaining control of assets and resources in the region. I'll remind you that it was initially the US who armed what is today the Taliban in order to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, only to then fight them directly years later. Whether it was a region of Islam or Buddhism there would be just as much exploitation by external and internal forces because it's never been about religion, it's about money, resources and control.
@chocobonita So let me clarify this. When I, and many others, say we have a connection to a place in the world, and our "heart is in that place," by no means does that mean that I support everything that is done and has been done there. It also doesn't mean that I want the country I live in to be like my country of origin. I'm aware of everything you mentioned, the sectarionism and the historical conflicts. I want, like many in and outside the region, for those troubles to be left in the past. I don't "hold onto" any beliefs that "aren't compatible" with where I live. I think for myself and I have my own beleifs formed from my own experience and no one else's. I love my place of origin not because of the past or present pitfalls in society and culture but because I want to see progress and peace in the region. As I also want the best for the country I'm living in too. I come from a minority Muslim community, who has been persecuted in the past and present so it would be easy for me to just sit online and list some atrocities my community has seen at the hands of Islamic extremists and reach the same hypothesis you have. However, I don't see things in that light. Where there has been injustice there has also been progress and unity, but progress gets overlooked because it's not as exciting as conflict in the west. On your point about Islam, I'm not a religious scholar so I don't have all the answers and I don't get all my info about Islam from the internet like you've recommended. Most of my friends aren't Muslim and I've never been told to only have Muslim friends or to hate other religions or any of those things you mentioned. I don't know where you've gotten those ideas from to be honest, but I don't think they represent the majority of Muslims at all. I'm not here to debate religion though. I just think you're viewing things in a very one dimensional frame We can all love something whilst being critical of it's flaws, and to have a connection to a place doesn't mean we embody all of your ideas about that place. Have a good day.
@Something Interesting I mean if you rather hear rappers rap about tits and arse then that's what your into But the 5th element of hip hop was knowlege. Not futile words
LOWKEY THE PEOPLES CHAMPION!!! You are the voice an strength for the weak an oppressed, you are the MALCOLM X & MUHAMMAD ALI of the 21st century, YOUR THE PEOPLES CHAMPION!!!! 😎
Yellow Synth he didn’t say it ended his career, chip did that to himself when he came out with Oopys daisy. he said his rhyme buried him which it did. Lmao a mobo who gives a fuck?
This fella is deep - Could have made a killing as a commercial rapper spitting the usual bars about money/women/drugs etc, but you stuck to your principles. i salute your sir.
@@user-sx3pc7yt3k Hes refering to like 2008-2010 kinda period where he got terrorist act used on him. He then went on to write Soundtrack to the struggle. After that arkid went uni for a bit.
Ren my fam, use your platform to promote this man & mic righteous & akala, you only live once, so live for people who want to impact the world positively, not share the same depression with people who can relate because it won’t heal you, healing others will, not relating. You’ve got your platform now, so show everyone the healing process
@@awasezaman2410 lol eminem is not even on the same level at all as Lowkey sorry can't compare them at all Em is a comedian rapper and Lowkey is a true lyricist that's true to the roots of the platform.
Lowkey is flying at a whole different altitude like a F16 fighter jet , the rest rappers are aeroplanes, your the peoples champion like MUHAMMAD ALI, so brother keep up the stamina for 15 rounds an have faith in our LORD the most high!!!! My prays are with you an your loved ones may ALLAH protect you!!!!! Ameen!!!!! 😎
Imagine last time I listened to lowkey was in yr8 now mans in 2nd year of uni and he still pops off on every song ffs. Bringing back hella secondary school memory’s
MMM except they have never blown up if my blow you mean had commercial success, selling 10k albums max, even though they are great MCs. There are great MCs in the UK show me one that has blown up and made good money, instead the ones that hit the charts are shit and they are getting the exposure.
@Something Interesting Fam you upload videos titled "SEXY girls Gravy Fighting" & "BIG BOOTY FIGHT (thots in the hood)" & you're calling other people retards for having a different taste in music? Go outside bro.
DVS PDC lol in your opinion he is but that doesn’t take away the fact what a sick rapper he is. And I wouldn’t say he’s a weirdo mans got mental health issues so unless you know him personally I don’t see how you can have that opinion🙄🤷♀️
Mollie Smith it’s more fun and interesting when you can’t decipher the entire song straight away and you have to give it multiple listens and then when artist has a certain level of depth you might find something after a longer period of time that gives the song a completely different meaning and then you look at the song differently.
Stormzy and Lowkey have no beef though, why are u tryna create it? xD BUT I agree with you on that Lowkey is the people´s MC. He´s got more bars, a more interesting flow, and speaks about real issues in the society, rather than flexing chains and cars that most people can´t afford (not that Stormzy does that..).
@Space Man I have no clue what kind of lemons you've come in contact with but if you think one is on par with lowkey... you need help. If you've ever seen a single performance by him then you'd know that the man can pack incredibly poignant political messages into a song and still have a phenomenal beat/rhythm. It would be pretty hard for the vast majority of people in any society to use art so effectively to speak truth to power. So maybe don't call the guy a fucking lemon.
Lowkey is phenomenal, his music is art and poetry, like those that are taught in a classroom or university, the sooner this is recognised the better for all mankind!
Same here man, Lowkey and ImmortalTech are my all time favorites. Only thing though, I don't think lowkey is the Tech of Europe, I would consider him on a different level, Both are still dope though
How can people say things along the lines of "thought this was lowkey ofb, what a disappointment" looool. Bruh, one of the most sophisticated, hardest, and uplifting lyricists from the UK is finally back on platforms like GRM Daily and you man are DISAPPOINTED? Mad ting, go enjoy your miniscule trap rap I suppose x
I loved his 2011 album so was well pleased to find out he was making a return! If this tracks anything to go by, his albums gonna be siiiiiiiiiiiick!! Best UK rapper, hands down!!
