Could you please tell me, how often do you use this retopo style for hardsurface stuff opposed to the classic style making low and high polys from mid model? The robot is amazing!

It depends on the complexity of the object. For me it's easier to create a low poly mesh from scratch than to remove hundreds of support loops. There are fragments in the timelapse where I don’t use retopology, I create primitives and adjust them to the high poly.

@@lifevkife Oh cool! Ive got some cad models that i would really like to retopo and optimize, but was really stuck on how to do it since they are hardsurface but also a bit organic. Thank you!
