Paul this is an excellent video. I am going out on the water in the morning so I am going to reference your video on my phone and try out what you have shown in this video n. I am adding your instruction videos to my play list. So I can refer back to them. Thank for your time and help to teach us dummies.
Awesome video!! I am trying to get better at offshore fishing and this video has answered a lot if not all the questions I had. Thank you!! I would like to see you do a offshore structure bass fishing video!
Please do a video on winter bass like small mouth showing us what channel swings are and how the fish set up on them like a advanced mapp reading where u locate bass off shore and show on unit what are channel swings all the big shots talk about love the new content brotha 👊
Thank you helps alot.....when ur bass fishing how far away from ur way point do u get....and is there a gap in that distance ,if ur transducers in the back?
I think there is another variable. The Length from the transducer to the helm screen/gps module. If your helm is 10 forward of your ducer, you are 10 feet further away from the structure than you think you are. Only way I see to pinpoint the structure is to mark it on the helm then use the trolling motor ducer to go back and find that exact structure and mark it again, then back away. I may be wrong here but I tend to over think things, lol.
Paul I am new to waypoint navigation. I actually got lost on a big lake and it took me forever to find the boat ramp lol…. I saw how you navigated to your waypoint with the trolling motor . Do you have a video navigating to a way- point running the boat ? Can you explain it like you did in this video ? I know it’s probably easy but I am very new to this . As much detail would be greatly appreciated.
At the end of the clip, when you showed the crappie, they actually looked like fish, can I ask what settings to use to see images like this. I've been doing a lot of experimenting with settings, and can't images like these. Much appreciate any help you can pass on.
i don't but they are very similar as what they can do to the HDS and carbon series. they can't share mapping of course and a few other minor things but great units over all
On one side of my structure scan its darker then the other....first quarter of my screen it's about as big as the black that shows under ur boat on the screen but all the way on the left ....any idea what went wrong..???..i can still see a lil but not like it supposed to be? THE Right side and half the left is perfect
great video thanks! I have a question? i mark with the back of the boat and way points show on the front graph but my heading wont move toward waypoint on front graph any ideas
Does the hook2 7 work like this? I purchased one and the sales man tells me it can mark waypoints but not off the side imagine view. I'm not sure why they would take that feature out as it comes in handy.
when you run 2 point-1's, do you mount one for each transducer? And, do you run them on the same nema2000 network? If so, how to you keep them from confusing what point-1 antenna to use? Thanks for your time, and help.
I have a new Carbon unit and set a new waypoint. Then, I accidentally hit Go To and the route from my house to the new waypoint appeared. How do I delete that ? Thanks....I enjoy your videos.
so after u reached your spot u have to go to menu, navigation, cancel and that should take the numbers off and then u should have 3 little dashes ---. it will stay that way until u select it again or your next target
It would be nice if you could do a video on how to use the steering option for autopilot to bring you back to a spot? OR reply here on how to use the steering option w autopilot?? Thank you
I can’t get back directly on my waypoint. Keeps moving to the right or the left. I do a zoom in to get it bigger and that’s where I can’t zero in on it. Thanks Richard
@@Camh1968 The best way I have found is to put a waypoint in and as you are going back toward it is keep making it bigger the closer you get to it. Another words zoom in on it the closer you get to it. Hope this helps.
Paul. I final got my charts to come up on my 9 ti. But now when I save a way point it comes up in the screen whit a message that says low memory. Why is it doing this. I have my cart card in the unit. Do I need to take the chart card out of the unit after it is loaded and put a 32 gig card in to save my waypoints on. I was under the impression that the chart card had to be in the unit to operate the charts. Am I wrong on this.
I know this is an older video but maybe you'll answer what direction do you want your map settings on back and front graph? Example north up, course up etc.
Fishing In The City one is the point 1 antenna and the other is the gps puck for the trolling motor, your puck is to close to trolling motor the magnetic interference is pulling the heading off. U need to move it and recalibrate it
@@PaulGettysFishing awesome. Thank you.. I had some othere questions. I was wondering about removing co tour lines and also changing the color of the boat icon. Black on black is not easy to see.
@@PaulGettysFishing The more pressing question I have is "memory running low" on 7ti unit. I have navionics on a msd chip. I don't know the size of the chip. How can I handle the low memory? Is 32gb the max size? The navionics chip does not have a current subscription. Can I create my own contour maps? Thanks...
Ya, I'd be pissed. anyways thank you for the guide. ill still use my buoy when i want to fish something but this is still helpful for when Im just scouting.
