As promised: Link to remix work for fenders on various stock and "tall" YZ Plates, and same in combination with my Hidden Belts Mod, and the same but for "mirrored" LR3 machines + Hidden Belts Mod. See this link for full listing: www.printables.com/model/805777-lowrider-v3-cnc-fenders-various-tall-yz-plates-sto Some build notes: My main YZ plates are 19mm thick, but my "Y-extend" plates are only about 1/2" thick. My main YZ plates are based on Dan's (@supraguy's) "extra tall YZ plate" design, although I had made a few small changes. Some were for functional reasons, and one change was merely cosmetic. Having the YZ plates taller (adding on 50mm in height) does not require any changes to printed parts. It does mean the linear guide rails need to be 200mm instead of 150mm, and it means the Z lead screws need to be longer my 50mm as well. Having the YZ plates be thicker (my 19mm) is of no significant benefit, and is only because I used what I had on hand. This change means it can be more finicky and fiddly to get the Y motor and mount inserted and rotated into position. That's why there are semi-circle widened areas on that cutout part of my design for the taller YZ plate. Worst case, you can insert the mount without the motor, and twist it in place, then "rock it" to the side a bit and attach the motor.

hey again doug, its been while but i finally got my low rider mostly built, its just waiting for its table to be built its a non standard machine slightly over 4ft (1320mm) for the x and a bit over 8ft for the y. seems a lot has changed since i got the chance to look at my machine esp with these fenders, ill have to get more blue grey and black filament lol

Hey Doug, Quick Question for you, in your video you mentioned that you have extended YZ plates. I have searched all around but i can not find any info on them. Can you point me in the direction of them? I would really like to make them.

I've shared them in various places, most recently in Peter's thread about the fenders (link below), and when I post the remix shown in the video, I will be including the DXF and SVG for them. Here you go. I think a remix of the clips with magnets embedded would be interesting - I dismissed them as "too hard" for a couple of reasons, particularly because I was concerned about shear loads - but worth experimenting with. In the meantime, my original clips have withstood many dozens of "remove and replace" so I'm happy enough. Cheers, PeterH
