Is the bottom of this Shekere built like a natural gourd the way the Jim Greiner model is built? Anyone?

Now I learned what Shekere is, and Munyungo, who had been taking a percussion part of Stevie Wonder band, is deserved to have a signature model of it. So how is it different at sound or playability? How is it far from a regular Shekere? There’re still many things I’m curious in music.
