🦜LH, i came in late in the game to watch/begin to learn about loons, about 2 wks or so. I find them fascinating. Didnt realize they depart so soon 🤷🏻♀️. I look forward to next season. 🌸🤟🏻
To be honest I'd never even heard of Loon's before watching your videos and after a little bit of digging around online I found out that here in NC where I live we have 3 types of loons!! I'm so fascinated by them now and how quickly the little ones take to the water and the hauntingly beautiful call these birds make. Thanks so much Lady Hawk for always expanding my knowledge ❤
Hello Melissa I am SO happy you found that you have loons in NC! I hope that you can see and hear them on the lakes!! I do not have loons were I live but if I did, I know I would visit those areas and take my camera!! Thanks for watching! The season was a little shorter then usual but at least we saw one chick hatch and take off swimming like an Olympian!! ♥
Hi Melissa, I don't think NC has three species of loon. Looks like Common Loons pass through on migration and Red-throated Loons may winter off the coast. Nesting loons are found in more northern areas. Too bad, because they really are wonderful to see and hear!
