Played this yesterday after you guys talked about it in the patch video, previously had played a ton of shieldbow Negan top but had never tried lethality, this damage is NUTS and the constant recalls for long swords feel amazing!
Yeah first time I played against graves top and didn't know how strong he is I thought like what is he thinking so stupid Thne I got crushed so hard I couldn't believe it and realized how strong it is
It's been decent for a while. Graves beats a lot of mids especially low mobility control ones. Wouldn't say it's a great pick tho. Still hella low range so if your comp is wack or your adc is getting stomped you'll just lose. Not a bad niche pick if you're good at him

Typically yes, but lethality lane graves usually just doesn't go more than t1 boots for a long time. So having the extra MS can be a lot more valuable when he's already overkilling people even through the shields
Serpents Fang would be a fine buy, but the out of combat MS from ghostblade is very valuable on Graves not just because of his dislike of tier 2 boots as mentioned above, but also because of how he moves on the map. Shoving a wave, roaming to grab a camp or two, catching another wave, and repeating is made even easier when you have the bonus ghostblade MS, as well as its active in combat functioning similarly to ghost on Darius; letting you catch and run down any targets who you can't kill with just AA Q E AA
Tbh I think he made a mistake going Yomu. (it is just them theory crafting after all). Would need to watch full game. The MS is only useful if you're going to gank a lot. Seeing as he mainly was just in lane I getting camped by Lee Fang might have been better. That's just a guess tho. Would be great if LS or Nemesis chimed in. I personally don't think the ms is that worth tho as a Graves player unless there's like a Ezreal or something.
Graves on lane is a thing im talking for years, its really good, hard to kill, good clear, pretty usefull in roaming thanks to the burst potential and smoke zoning. The only concern so far is mana, his Q cost compare to his mana pool is huge, so thats still a thing to need to work around, but now we got tear that is cheap for laning at least, there is a world where essence reaver is a thing, but then need to decide going lethality or crit and so, lethality seems pretty nice especialy for early game obviously. Both top and mid seems cool
@@diegolazcano2160 Yeah thats the only real solution i found so far, but i wouldnt call that really a solution ! Like sometime you need more space to do things especialy at midlane, you need to be more flexible to roam, help controling river. I should retry directly in game, its been quite some time i didnt went graves lane, so maybe damage is fine enough to spare some time and mana to create more space.

Yes but it is so dangerous because you can't cheater as much. I did this btw with muramana instead of full lethality. So I have mana to shove when I need to.
Why dont graves build serpents in the game? They have lulu and aph on shieldbow right? Is serpents just a bad item? Also is yoomus still a viable item anymore? When do you ever build yoomus
As LS said in an earlier vid, Graves has the best backs in the game as it's pretty much all long swords costing 350, if you back after a push then you not only gain an item advantage but you'll also regain much of your mana.
Dodging is so fucking annoying tbh, mofos in diamond started to dodge 24/7, you will for example never get to play malp vs full ad, they will always dodge.
1/5 after getting hard camped and Gwen still can’t 1v1 him. But sure yeah focus on kda over the fact that a 1/5 graves played well can oneshot their marksman and top laner. Lol
