My uncles truck was at my shop. Its a 08 5.3 and he was having intermittent low oil pressure. Like he would have 30 pounds then none. I pulled pan off and that pickup o ring. I still have the old one and other than it's a bit flat on outside I dind t think it was bad. Finger nail still goes into it. New o ring and even re used his pan gasket and it's not even leaking. Truck has more pressure than he remembers it ever having.

Looks like you need one of those Aquablast cabinets to clean all the aluminum parts. I guess that’s another rabbit hole to go down into and get carried away with cleaning up parts. 😂😂

my shop that I worked for years here in cashmere we always did 4.8 5.3 and 6.0 ls motors what kills these motors is guys running 15/40 in them and or not changing the oil, we only used 5/30 GM product never had one come back. you always do great videos JC Merry Christmas to you and your family

I'm pretty sure your suppose to use that high test rtv over transition between block and front cover and block and rear main seal housing. Just a dab.

I think everything on a engine should have dowels y it wouldn't idk y they think it would be a good idea
