When we sell a tractor, we always do a "walk around" with each tractor. We do this to let customers know where to perform daily checks, grease, and basic operation techniques. This series of videos is intended to refresh that information for our customers. Several more of this type of video is posted on our channel. Look for your model and check it out. We hope this helps owners have more knowledge about their tractor. Please make sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to see all our new videos as they come out. Thanks!

Thank you Chris. I am in Missouri. I will continue to look at them and determine what size would fit my needs.

As an MT225e owner with 50+hrs, I clicked on this video to see if I could learn a thing or two regarding grease zerk locations, and wow! What you explained in 30 minutes has taken me the last six months of figuring out - even with manual in-hand. Thank you for the practical explanations regarding the 2-pump hydraulic system, 3-point hitch needle valve adjustment, and safety regarding night visibility of slow moving vehicles. And sure enough, I missed 2 grease points.

Chad, I really appreciate your comment! It does take some time to do these videos, but I definitely see the value in this type of video! LS Tractor has been VERY good to our business and our customers. Some dealers don't take time to show customers what they need to know. This hurts the brand... my brand. I am just trying to do my part to help our customers and a company like LS Tractor that stands behind their products. A good dealer can make all the difference in their territory for any brand. Buy as local as you can from the best dealer you can. This makes for a much more pleasant experience. Thanks again! Chris Murphy

Thanks for the information. I have looked at a few models. My local dealer is lacking in service and going out of business. I will be looking to buy next fall when they have they the included bucket deal. All deals he has now don't include the loader or bucket. I want to be able to lift a bale mainly. I have 2 utility tractors to mow with.

Yes sir. If you are talking about moving bales with the loader, you would want a larger tractor for moving bales. Just because the specs say a tractor has a lift capacity higher than the bale weight doesn't mean you can't have some common sense. I have said it a million times. My 1/2 ton pick up will pull my 30 foot gooseneck, but it won't last as long or pull as well as our 1 ton dually. If moving bales with a small frame compact like the MT2 LS, 3000 series JD, L series Kub, and the like, you would want to carry the bale on the 3 point hitch. On the free loader deal, that is the same deal as the CASH rebated prices. They don't call it that anymore, but it is basically the same way it always has been with LS. Get the CASH REBATE (we used to say FREE LOADER) or get 0% or low rate finance. I have done the math and under current programs, the finance rates actually outweigh the rebates... IF you must finance and don't pay off too early to realize the benefit of the rate vs the rebate given up. If you are close to us, we'd love the opportunity to earn your business. Check us out at murphybrotherstrading.com Thanks, Chris Murphy

BEEN LOOKING AT THIS MODEL. 1900 POUND LIFT ? HARD TO THINK IT'LL LIFT A ROUND BA E,
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo 4 дня назад
The LOADER lift capacity on the MT225E/HE is actually closer to 1600 lbs... maximum. You must remember that ALL brands boast their lift capacities at the bottom hinge pin. This is behind the point you are actually lifting from. In other words, the further the load is in front of you, the heavier it feels due to leverage. ANOTHER key point is that when you are lifting with a loader, you MUST counterweight the rear of the tractor unless you want to be replacing front axle seals, bearings, etc. That rear axle is where ALL tractors were designed to carry weight. The rear lift capacity is about 1808 lbs on the 3 point hitch. If you are moving bales with this size tractor, I strongly suggest to only do it with the 3 point. But honestly, if you are moving bales, I would go with a larger FRAME/CHASSIS like the MT3 or MT4. It's like my 1/2 ton pickup will pull my 30 ft gooseneck trailer, but it is not going to work as well or last as long as my 1 ton dually will under the same load. Picking up what I am laying down? I hope I have helped. If you'd like to know more, don't hesitate to give me a call. I am Chris Murphy. You can find our number at murphybrotherstrading.com. Thanks!

Hi Chris. Is there an extension for the loader control lever?
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo Год назад
There is not a factory option, but I can only assume you could make one very easily. However, be VERY careful doing that. The longer the lever, the more motion will be required. I can also see a longer lever bouncing rhythmically making the loader jerk as you cross rough ground. The valve location is somewhat adjustable to different positions.

Can you do a video on a MT235HE please
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo Год назад
I actually made one on the MT240E/HE. It was lost in the shuffle. We are planning to film it again next week. It should be up shortly. The MT230, 235, 240 E series will all be VERY similar. We don't sell the 230 or 235 so I don't have any. Nothing wrong with them. The money just matches the 240 better in my market. Thanks for reaching out!

Shaun, we finally got the MT240E video re-shot and uploaded to the channel. This should cover most anything you have questions about the 235. Thanks for your suggestion and patience.

Can you get a mid mount mower on it and how big of one
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo Год назад
No mid mount mower available for the MT225E. Take a look at the MT122, MT125, or my favorite, the MT225S! All these can carry mid mount mowers.

Just got one of these and I'm so disappointed. The transmission sounds like its 80 years old and wore out. It is so loud. Growling and winning. Later found out the teeth on the gears are straight cut gears. This is 2023 not the 40s 😢
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo
@MurphyBrothersTradingCo Год назад
It is also a $18000 unit, not a $25000 rig. We don't have issues out of the gears at all, but it is a little loud. Did you not drive the tractor before your purchase? Fear not. I have noticed they tone down as they wear in.

@MurphyBrothersTradingCo Sadly the purchase experience wasn't too good. The dealer frowned about taking one for a test drive. Said he doesn't like to put hours on them. He did go over it with us in the parking lot before I loaded it up,but on a flat smooth surface and trying to figure things out I didn't notice any noise. Got home and drove it down the slight grade to the garage that's when the clatter and growling started. I wouldn't call it a "little " noise at all. Then noticed it's a 2021 and it has 3 hours on it already.

Just to clarify, we were not your dealer. I do hate you had a bad experience with one of the hottest selling tractors in the nation. We rarely have an issue with the 225E units. It remains as our best seller. You would like the MT3 series much better.

I just bought one. Only noticed gear noise when I forgot to release the parking break.
