The LS1 swapped Rx8 gets some finishing touches to make it road legal and to get it inspected. I give my initial reactions as I take the car on its first road trip an hour north!

I just got an RX8 for free and I'm already a custom fabricator so I'm doing this same swap. After seeing a lot of them I think it might be easier to run only the ECU for the engine and completely gut ALL the Mazda wiring and rewire the whole car. Replace the factory dash and just run a race pack gauge's. Get rid of factory steering rack and run aftermarket rack. One ECU under hood, one fuse block. And air conditioning! I live in Texas!😂 I watched a a few of your videos and thanks for head's up on some of the issues and the information!👍

you dont have any alignment issues? i have a problem where the steering is really sensitive like at high speeds it feels like it wants to push me off the road any idea?

No better time than now!! Haha. Yes I did get my tachometer and speedometer working. My setup for the tach trigger wheel leaves some to be desired so I may end up changing that in the future. But for now it works!
