I have just purchased an LS 3.40 and I will be following your guide - the speakers it comes with by default are terrible! Thanks for putting this together for us.
Great video. New subscriber. I just did this on my LS MT342 Cab tractor. I need to get new speakers. The factory ones are not good. I did not use the factory harness or bracket, but it did fine. I made a video of it. 👍
Thanks for the video! I just installed my radio in my New Holland Boomer 40. Listening to your video as I tuck stuff away. I definitely will need to follow your advice of replacing the factory speakers...they sound like they only handle a couple of watts. Thanks again for the video.
Nice tractor man! The radio set up is a nice upgrade. I’m sure it can get blah driving around with no radio. Looking forward to seeing the tractor in action.
Important question. On your cabs interior switches at your your right hand console do your switches light up at all? It seems mine did, when I got it, 4 . 1 hours. Ls MT5.73. No fuse for those LED switch lights, manual says "replace LED." Activated by full back rotation of turn signal lever dial. Mechanic and manual state no fuses for it, but my memory seems to think it did work on day one but few months later at night, now they don't. Mechanic said there is no light in the switch, or under panel...only hazard light lights up. So I am wondering if its a manufacturer defect or intended design and my memory is mistaken. Can you check yours? Dealer says none of their cab tractors have illuminated switches for night time use. Manual says "combination switch" and rotate to activate lights, if no light check fuse...none for "LED" OR CHANGE BULB. EVERY PLACE it says instrument panel/ lights, the solution is exactly "LED". You can see my frustration. So all I need is a yes or know that when the ring on the turn signal is turned to you all the way, do ANY switches in cab interior light up other than 4 way hazard switch like my LS MT5.73 (2020 model)?
For anyone else having this issue... You have to pry down on the speaker cover to put pressure on the nut on the backside of the bolt. Otherwise it just spins. I put a screwdriver between the cover and the roof, pushed downward as I spun out the screws.
Where did you get the 4" to 5.25 " adapters. I have been all over Amazon and haven't had any luck finding them. I just bought a new LS MT3 47 two weeks ago and the speakers sound like their blown. I was hoping you could tell me you're you found them. Thank you
Nice job on installing the speakers and radio, can you give me where to get the speakers and the spacer to make them go from4" 51/2" .I no a lot of people put stuff in their links, but I don't know how to find the links. Thank you
